DISers you have met in WDW?

It's great to meet DISers on a WDW vacation! Several have spotted my lime green ribbons or my DIS shirt and/or pin. Unfortunately, it's always a very brief encounter and although screen names were exchanged, I didn't write them down and then forgot the names! So, on my last trip (Nov 04) I carried a small pad and pencil in my waist pouch.
I saw pjpoohbear in Epcot as we were finding our spot to watch Illuminations. She saw my DIS shirt.
SyracuseWolverine - his name is Eric and he was the CM at the AK park entrance at the Rainforest Cafe exit. (I read a recent post that puts him at the Safari these days) He also spotted my DIS shirt.
And Montana spotted my DIS button in the Adventurer's Club on PI.
Who have you met?

We met a Dis CM at the Safari in the AK. She was a driver for the tram bus. I cant remember her name tho....

I met a DISer before we were DISers in December, 2000. Our family met JVL1018 at Tinkerbells Treasures at the MVMCP. Since then we have gone away a couple of times together, met a few times for dinner and come to birthday parties for our kids. And whether our children like it or not, they are getting married!

I've always had my lime green. Yet I've never met nor seen any other Diser's to date. I'll keep trying though.

This past April I had lime green ribbons attached to my camera bag and I often wore a lime green hat. Neither actually said "Dis" on them though. I did have a planned meet wtih disney4me4ever where we shared a Grand Gatherings cruise which was wonderful.

I noticed a LOT of people wearing lime green or carrying lime green bags, etc. and I spent a lot of time pondering whether to ask them if they are from the "Dis" -- but always chickened out b/c if they weren't they'd probably look at me like I'm a freak, and worse yet, my dh would think I'm TOTALLY nuts asking random people if they frequent a message board.

In January, 2004 we met up with Canadave and his lovely family. We sat around and chatted for quite a while ~ exchanging stories and getting to know each other. It was wonderful!

Out of all our trips, I have not met any DIS'ers actually at WDW. But....I met threeboysmom in the parking garage of MCO last September. AND....at an AAU basketball tournament that DD was playing in Connecticut last year, I found out that a fellow basketball Mom was a DIS'er!!

There were a bunch of us there in early Dec. - here's who I can remember off the top of my head: TLinden16, KathyTX (now WebmasterKathy), nativetxn, Pandy Paws, Syracuse Wolverine...

Also met Webmaster Alex, Safari Steve, plutosmyfav and many more that I can't think of now!!

I've worn my lime green on at least 6 trips (including one December trip) and so far it's been responsible for me meeting only ONE other DISer (Hi, ChuckS!) But I'm going to try it again this coming December-better be some others!

We didn't rely on just the lime green. What I did was start a thread here and then interested parties coordinated a time + location via PM

Just back from an early April trip. We were in the Dinosaur line, and a fellow Diser spotted my husbands green mickey ears hanging from his camera strap. He introduced himself(and forgive me if you're out there and read this, and I don't fully remember it correctly) Bartman 953. Just a brief encounter. So if you read this, I hope you and DS had a better experience on the Dino ride than we did. Broke down on us about 30 seconds into the ride and my DS who is 4 FREAKED OUT!!
It was pitch black, extremely loud, and even I was getting a bit unnerved. Unfortunately for us, this set the precedent for future dark rides with him.

In July 2003, we were there for the weekend and someone (I don't remember their names), spotted my lime green ribbons on my backpack and approached us. It was a brief meeting but it was fun.

I've met many Disers (also, too many to list, might leave someone out), but none by random. I've met up for two Illuminations cruises full of Disers. And ran into one couple over and over again (hi brandy) all through our trip. I saw Dan Murphy, but was too shy to introduce myself. We had a Dismeet in Broomfield, and had quite a few from around her, and nativetxn came too! I love meeting Disers.

I hope to run in to a few Disers in May. It seems there are a ton going. Looking forward to it.

How did you guys coordinate this? That would be great We haven't been to WDW since joining the DIS, but are looking forward to meeting some fellow DISers while we are honeymooning in OCT.

Also, 3disAddicts where did you get the green mickey ears hanging from your husbands camera strap?
