DISers you have met in WDW?

I haven't been since I've been a DISer, however, who knows in August. I can just imagine my ds, if I meet someone!

I've met 2 DISers, maryandbob (I think?) on July 4th last year on the resort/Epcot monorails and then this past February I met 2ofUs at Beaches N' Cream then hung out at DTD for the rest of the day.

The planned meets are great, you can really look forward to spending time with your friends.

But those chance encounters are such a surprise! You never know what you're in for.

We were at the MK in Dec. 04 and a family walked by us on Main Street. I kept asking my wife "Who are they? I know them somehow.". She thought I was nuts. Then she told me to stop staring, that I was going to freak them out.

It drove me crazy for days but I could not remember how I knew these people. It wasn't until I returned home and checked the boards one day. I recognized them from Zurgswife's signature. What are the chances of that?

DH picked up the lime green mickey paint chips from Home Depot and had them laminated at work. He made them into kinda like a "badge" so that he could attach it to his camera strap.

I met a DISer before we were DISers in December, 2000. Our family met JVL1018 at Tinkerbells Treasures at the MVMCP. Since then we have gone away a couple of times together, met a few times for dinner and come to birthday parties for our kids. And whether our children like it or not, they are getting married!

Jan 2004 we met a family from the East Coast (that's all I remember!!!) who were DISers in the line for TOT! It was fun to talk to them. Also took an Illuminations Cruise in 1/04 with a couple who were DISers.

Met PandyPaws at AK the same trip. NEXT TIME we're requesting to ride in her vehicle!!!! (and getting pictures of all of us if possible!)

I met Tiger Lily 03 last December right before Illuminations started. She spotted my lime green DIS boards shirt. She was very nice and took our picture.

I've met BibbidyBobbidyBoo (planned), Dan Murphy and some Diser's he had with him (planned) and a Dis family and I combined for the Illuminations Diner (can't remember her name). I sat down next to Doc's wife at the Flower Power concert last year, and she noticed the Dis pin I made. Doc was also there. I met someone as I got off the boat at MK (I think it was MK), she noticed my pin, but we were all in a hurry, so only talked for a sec. I've met a few people as I've handed off the Dis stroller after sitting. C.Ann and I have become friends, as we realized we lived near each other. Safetymom and I have "known" each other form another board and have met for dinner at Dis. I think that's it.

I met Searlproudbottom and his lovely wife and two adorable girls at the Poly October 2003. I was very nervous about meeting someone off the internet in person but it was great! They were so nice! I would love to meet them again but I think we miss each other by 2 days this year.

we met Good Deeds (Karen) and her family; we shared the same flight down out of Philadelphia. While at EPCOT for our Segway Tour, we met msmouse; her son Brian was taking the same tour as us. We also met a DISer in the spa at POR; I believe it was Jim's Mom (Lisa).
We never met any DISers during our other trips and we have yet to see a lime green ribbon. I did wear my lime green DIS ID on several trips to the parks this trip.

We too have met many DISers on various trips. Some were planned (we too shared a couple of Illuminations cruises with other DISers) and others were random (once a family was eating beside us at Spoodles and I saw her lime green ribbon on her camera bag. Yes, my family thought I was nuts as I started screaming - "a DISer, a DISer" ) I've also been to scheduled DIS meets and of course met the wonderful Dan Murphy. The best meeting however was when I scheduled to meet fellow DISer kmr (Kathi). Our families met up in Magic Kingdom and spent the evening watching the fireworks and then enjoying an e-night. We've since become the best of friends and our families are so close. She's even flying down for her second visit to our home next month. We also have a wonderful Disney vacation planned for this June/July. The DIS is such a wonderful place !!

I've met KarenNY,KristaTX,Kathy TX,Katholyn,Town Crier,Pandy Paws,Karen(JellyRolls),Dan Murphy,Ray Sharpton,Doc(Rob),Kimball and all the great Zurgs,and 30 to 40 more at meets and in the parks including a few I miss and don't see on boards anymore Wheelsie and husband Dan comes to mind.At one meet at OKW had a few Disers from England and Canada attend and enjoyed meeting them all.I hesitated posting because some names have slipped from memory and I didn't want anyone left out I met and hurt someone's feelings.I want to say sorry if I didn't mention you by name,I was and still happy for every Diser that've I've met.So if you see me on May or December trip stop me and say hi,most of the time I wear my lime green Dis shirt and Dis pin that has my user name on it(danny1649).DW and I don't bite,well she does'nt.

I know I met TLinden16, Zurg's crew, Delwife's crew, Vicky Baby, Pandy Paws, Towncrier and a whole bunch more that I can't remember! Can't wait till next Dec!

I've met some here in Ma (yeah Jerry!!!!) and some in WDW. Had a smallish meet on Nov 30...that was pretty cool. Since I'm having a senior moment week, I can't remember everyone...Stacy, Dan, Ray...there were others. But, I think we've been banned since my dh tries to steal electric scooters to sit on!!!

The only DISer that I just "Bumped" into was SafariSteve in May 2003. When we went to get our wrist bands for E-night he was the CM giving them out. We had a small meet in Liberty Square on that same trip with Helenabear and a few others [sorry I can't remember your DIS ID's]. Got to see DELSWIFE and her crew just before the parade at MVMCP on12/16/2004.

And of course all those capering fools in Boston. Over 50 DISers and their families enjoying some of the Mickey statues and the famous "Caper on the Commons" [real sorry I missed that part of it but DGS really wanted to see the Aquarium].

For anyone at WDW between 5/18 and 5/22 [only 23 more days] look for the guy in the black vest covered with pins [that will be me]. If anyone wants a picture with me my fees are quite reasonable.

Seriously if you see me say "Hi Phil". Won't be hard to remember my name. I will also be wearing a GOH badge, 2 Passporter badges, and a DIS badge with my name on them. Can you say "Old Dork?
