Anybody else sad that they are home from vacation? Do you all get that post vacation let down? Anybody doing the "Last week at this time I was at...."

Everybody officially unpacked? I still have things laying my living room floor that need to find homes...Its been slow going around here

I am glad to be home, but wish it had been longer. I washed all the laundry, but haven't had time to put it away yet. The kids junk, I mean souvies, hasn't found a home yet.

Actually, we wore ourselves out so much, I am actually glad to be home. I guess I don't dread leaving as much now that I know we always have another trip in our future. We are planning a Disney Cruise with a few days at the World tacked on to the end of the trip next May. So I at least have that to look forward to.

Okay I've bit the bullet and going to give this a shot at giving a TR.

I'll start with the day the adventure began for us which was officially June 14th. We live about an hour or so from Nashville, meaning we would have to be up at like 2 or 3 in order to be at Nashville airport to go through security. We stayed at Hampton Inn, it wasn't bad except for the bug that went crawling against the wall.

We woke up on the 15th about 3 am I believe. We got ready and packed up everything we needed. We headed to the airport and checked in everything, then took off our shoes for airport security. Oh so much fun but thank god for Crocs.

Our plane left at 7:15 but we started late due to problems with the genetator. I was in a bit of a panic by this time because I'm not a fan of flying so I'm holding onto my sister's hand for dear life during take off and landing. We got to Alt at almost 10 something. Our flight left at 10:30, so we had to rush from Gate A to Gate B, after meeting up with our family.

We got on the plane from Alt, and that flight went much smoother. We arrived in MCO about 12:30. We got off the plane and checked into ME.

Now the problems start when we arrive at the hotel and check in. We firmly request a 3rd floor every year so we have the balcony. Well we were given 2nd floor and we're like uh no we put down 3rd floor when we booked this reservation in September. Took a bit of time but it was fixed. We had to stay on the 2nd floor that night but we honestly just wanted a bed that night to sleep in. The next day we would move to 3rd floor.

Well after that was sorted out, we headed to DTD after waiting a bit for a bus. We went to DQ, ate breakfast/lunch/dinner there. The food was so good. They did change it though. We use to would go for the arcade where you could win tickets, that's gone now. So sad.

Well we finished up DQ, Mom, SIL, and nephew went back to the room. Sis and I went walking and looked at the shops at DTD. I had to get a new waistpack cause my walmart one would not fit me comfortably. Well we get back, they only have delivered one suitcase so far. So of course Sis and I are the ones elected to go downstairs and find out where the rest of our stuff is and as we come downstairs they are coming in with it.

So that basically the first day in a nutshell. The real fun starts Saturday when we do Seaworld, Walmart, and Uno's.

Laura... Avery bought the same shirt your boys have on in the pics... as a nightgown! She is a 4T, and bought a boys large. I tried to talk her out of it, but she didn't want a shirt... only a nightgown. Guess we'll be seeing it for quite some time!

Saturday June 16th, the adventure begins.

We get up at 7 am, to pack up the room and get our luggage stored before we head to a 8:20 breakfast at Park Fare. We got there and were seated in the very back room all by our self. Our waitress was awesome and the food delicious. We finished up our breakfast and had a hour to kill before the shuttle came so we could get our rental car.

We got our car and headed to Seaworld. We purchased our tickets ahead of time but it's so disorganized with the lines there. Well we went and did the sealion show which is hilarious. We did the penguins. We didn't do a ton at SW but we did what we went after. So we finish up there and head back to the rental car and off to our next destination, Uno's.

Uno's is delicious, we get it once a year because there is none near us. We had a normal meal then for dessert I split a brownie with my sil, and my nephew. Well I had to fight for my part because my nephew is umm well hogging it to put it nicely. He was being a little brat at times that day.
Well we finished up there and headed to Walmart for what all we would need.

We get to walmart and having a blonde moment I pick up two bottles of shampoo instead of a shampoo and conditioner. Yeah I know blonde moment! Well we get done shopping, we have to be back at the rental place by 5:30 so we flew back, needless to say my sister felt like her foot was vibrating for quite a while from the van we had.

We got back in time and still waited till about 6 I think for the shuttle to come to take us back to the hotel. Well we get back, we have no room since we were getting moved that day. Well I'm the one who can get their the quickest and of course my nephew is right up my butt as I'm trying to take care of things. I'm one who has to have some space and at that moment I didn't have it. Well we got our new room which was 3508 and that basically ended our day there.

I have decided to go ahead and do my own trip report, but also contribute to this one in an abbreviated form, so here it goes.
We left Wednesday the 20th around 5pm our time and drove to Cordelle GA to spend the night. After we checked in to the Hampton Inn, and got in bed we dicovered we were right next to a train track and proceeded to get all of 3 hours sleep. Got up at 4am and checked out around 5. Chris lets them know that we got practically NO sleep and we got our room for free.
So we arrive at WL on Thursday around 10:30 am and are given a free upgrade to concierge! Score again . We do however have to wait about an hour and a half for our room so we use that time to check things out and have some snacks at the concierge lounge. Then after checking into our room we went down for a dip in the pool. Later we partake of the free libations at the concierge lounge before heading over to the Poly for dinner at Ohana and a Wishes Cruise with Mandy and her family, Courtney and Ryan, and our friend Theresa who is a CM. We had a great first day! Ohana was delicious, and the Wishes Cruise was a lot of fun. Especially meeting some fellow DIS Stalkers. More tomorrow.

Okay today's tale is about June 17th at Magic Kingdom and Soakin Splash.

Well we had breakfast at Crystal Palace which was yummy except for not having warm syrup and long lines. We got there before the park opened and I was able to get some decent shots of the castle. This started our first official day in Disney.

Well we ate breakfast, and headed out to Adventureland when we realized we forgot our spray bottle so I have to run back and get it. We went to Jungle Cruise first and walked right on it. From there we went and did Aladdin. We basically walked onto that ride. From there we went and did Pirates because my nephew just had to do it. Well from there we went to Splash and rode it. Well here comes the story of Soakin Splash. Courtney be glad you weren't on it with us cause we got soaked, especially my mom who sat in third row.

We rode with three other young boys who were a tour group from Puerto Rico and they were so nice and well behaved. One of them sat with my mom and was telling her where the drops are. My mom hasn't been on it since they first opened it back in like 92. Well my mom got soaked, actually we all got wet.

Well we got off that and went and rode Thunder Mountain. This has always been my ride with my mom. We love roller coasters so we always try to ride it when we can. Well after we finished that ride it was off to lunch at CCH. That was good like always.

We finished our lunch and we headed to Phillarmagic when my nephew really started acting up. He did a flip over one of the bars and well we won't discuss how mad some of us were. Well we went on that and loved it. After that we went to Toontown and he wanted to do Barnstomer than he didn't. Well he finally did it as we waited in the heat for him to ride.

After that we went to Tomorrowland and saw the talking trash can. We then went on and did Buzz. I got seated alone, go figure. Well after that we went and did TTA. Very uncomfy ride, all 5 of us in one car. Well we finished that and went and did Laugh Club. I wasn't that amused with it, don't know why but I wasn't.

We finished that and we went back to the hotel cause by this time he was nagging to go swimming. Oh wait we did stop and watch the parade, my camera decided to start crapping out around this time. I hate you camera.

Well we headed back to the room and that was all for that day.

After our Morning at MGM we head back to the Resort to to take a break before heading to Epcot for the Evening. The kids and I get in the pool and go down the slide. A hour and a half later we are up stairs getting ready to head to Epcot. We get to Epcot at 5pm on the dot. We walk to the digital
board that had all the ride wait times to see what rides had fastpasses left. Of course none of them did. So we decided that we would go and see the Honey I Shrunk the Audience Show. Walked straight into it as it was to began in two mins. Cute, but if you are afraid of mice and snakes don't go.
I'm not, but the lady beside me sure was. The poor thing keeped her feet in her seat after the first run of the mice. After the show we started our walk though of the World Showcase in Mexico. We when into the Temple and looked at the displays and walked into the Market. Was we were in line for the Gran Fiesta Tour. There was a loud and roudy bunch of young 20 yrs olds celebrating one of the girls(in their group) birthday. So as we are being loaded on the boats. We are given a boat to our selves with the exception of a lady who was by herself. But the 20 somethings were still behind us the whole way in there own boat. But once it got dark and the chase to find Donald started they quited down. The boat ride was relaxing and a little like It's a Small World ride. As we are disembarking from this ride the boat load behind us as become loud again, going AIYEE! AIYEE! Kevin and I shared a looked that said that they must have been sampling the dranks in each World
Showcase. Then we walked to China and Norway, we were going to ride the Mealstrom but the ride was a bit to long. And about that time my batteries in my camera went dead. So I sat down a bench to change the batteries. Oops, I left the bag of batteries on the bed back at the resort. Then I remembered that I had three hand held fans in my bag so I try them, the fans work but as soon as I put them in my camera they don't. So I look at Kevin and he said lets go and buy you some. Well we go to the shop in China and the don't have any and tell us to try Mexico, we go there and they tell us to go to Norway. So we walk back to where we were and ask if they have any and the nice girl in the shop shows us the display area that they are at and no AA batteries I ask if they have any in the back , and she sends someone to look. It took 10 mins and she came back with a stack full. We paid $15 for them, but it was well worth the money, because the camera didn't die on me till Sat after I show the pictures to my Inlaws. And I still have two left in the box to use at a later time and place. So after the hunt for the batteries we went to Germany for it was time for our resie at Biergaten. Let me just say that the food here was just like I was back in Germany. The show that they pput on was great and the little ones that would go a dance on the dance floor were so adorable. After dinner we go to the fairway between the Showcase and Future to get our bracelets to wear, walk to the bridge to wait for the Illuinations show. Oh yes, it was raining by this time. So we have a 45 min wait which turn to an hour because they were waiting for the rain to quit. Illuinations was wonderful. The best fireworks display I've seen so far. After we head back to Future to ride Soarin and Mission Space. The line for Soarin said 50 mins but it seemed much quicker. Haley was a little scared but we got her ride with us. She enjoyed it.
As we were leaving we had to take a potty break. As I was coming out Ryan was standing at the water fountain, and called me over. He- Look a snail. And sure enough there was a large snail in the drinking water fountain. I walk to the CM that is directing everyone down the steps to tell him about the snail. He looks at me like I'm stupid. Yes there is a snail over there, and goes to check it out. He comes back to me and says that he will have someone take care of it. I didn't stick around to see what happen because Kevin was getting antsy with the crowds. So we head on over to Mission Space. Haley and I go Green and Kevin and Ryan go Orange. Very nice, Haley liked it and the guys had a ball. We all had different roles, Kevin-Navitgator, Ryan- Pilot, Haley- Commander and Me- Engineer. Then we head on out, but as we are going passed the Character spot. Ryan says that he wants to get his pictures taken with the characters. So we see if Haley does, she doesn't so me and Ryan get in line. Takes pictures with Mickey, Goofy, Pluto and Minnie. I get one done with Goofy, one with Pluto and Ryan. On our way back to the resort we miss our turn off and wind up on 4. So we drive abit and turn around and get back to the resort about 12am.
