We got up at 7, checked out of Comfort Inn, and headed for Coronado Springs Resort. We had to make a quick detour to Walgreens... Avery's squirter fan wouldn't work, and I forgot to pack the kids toothpaste. We got to Coronado around 9 AM for check-in. Our room was ready, so we quickly unloaded the car, put away snacks and drinks, etc, then headed to 1900 Park Fare for a late breakfast. We loved this character meal! Food was absolutely incredible, and the characters were so great about talking to and spending time at each table. Avery was a little scared of the Mad Hatter because he was a bit loud, though. After breakfast we headed to MGM for Star Wars weekend. This was a surprise for Tucker, as he is a huge Star Wars fan. I bought him a Darth Vader helmet, cape, and light saber from ebay to take, and he dressed in black to complete the outfit. He wanted long sleeves and pants, but I had to draw the line there! I have an awesome photo of him dressed up with Vader, but will not be able to post it until I get my photopass CD. We did Jedi Training Academy, and Tucker was picked to light saber fight Darth Vader. Afterwards, they gave him a diploma and some little action figures. It was the highlight of his trip!
We did the Backlot Tour, Muppets 3-D, Lights! Motors! Action!, Honey I Shrunk the Kids playground, Star Tours many times (Avery's favorite from MGM) Rock N' Roller Coaster, Tower of Terror, and met many characters.
When we went to do Tower of Terror, Avery did not want to ride it. We took her through the pre-show with us, then Wynn and Tucker went on the ride, and they took Avery and I down to the basement to wait for them to get off. The bellhop walked away, and then came back with a little bellhop outfit for Avery. They dressed her up and had her waiting when Wynn and Tucker came off the ride. It was adorable! They gave her a Magical Memories certificate for her scrapbook, too.
My last photo is my ride photo from Tower of Terror... they put me on it by myself! So this photo is for all of you who crammed into the ride at your DISmeet... since it was after I left! You've all been focked!
Afterwards, we went over to Magic Kingdom for extra magic hours. We got there right at the start of Spectromagic, then headed over to Fantasyland, where we rode Pooh, Snow White, Peter Pan, and Small World. Tucker and Wynn went to Space Mountain and Thunder Mountian while Avery and I repeated all of Fantasyland. Then we met in Adventureland to ride Jungle Cruise and Pirates. We finally got back to the room around 2:30 AM, showered, and crashed!
