Welcome back DM!!! I didn't get to meet any of you. My mom ended up cancelling her plans to meet us then it was too late to rearrange my plans again. I think I briefly saw tnmomof4 at Seasons. She was gone by the time I realized I knew her

We're returning in April before our AP's expire. I really didn't think the weather or the crowds were bad.

I'll bet we walked past each other a few times - we seemed to be in the same parks a few times! lol oh well - next time!!

Our last night (Friday) we spent strolling the Boardwalk - we were on our way to the Boardwalk Bakery to have some coffee & dessert when we walked past our friends from church!! Ends up they were staying at the Dolphin one floor up from us the whole week and we never knew it! Spent the late evening having coffee with them on the Boardwalk! The next morning, we called them to give them our unopened water and snacks, as they had one more day for their trip! lol

The day we went to Blizzard Beach, a family set up their chairs next to ours... I made a little small talk with the mom at one point... later on the dad was sitting by himself, and we started to chat "where are you from' type of thing... They lived in Destin, Florida... when I said I was from New Jersey, he asked where? and I gave my town - ended up he grew up there, and graduated from the Catholic HS that Dana will attend in September, a few towns away!! His sister works at the pharmacy I go to - I know her well.
Small world, for sure!

Hi Friends!! We are back...got back at 12:45 am this morning...just couldn't bring ourselves to leave Orlando any sooner!! So we are exhausted but headed to work!! I'll get on later tonight and read about your trips and post a little about ours. I can't wait to hear about all of your trips!!

That's so funny. The same happened to us in Japan. We were watching the drummers and I saw a girl from my DS9 class with her family.

Have you cruised before, Kari? The reason I ask is that we did the 7 night Disney Cruise and LOVED it. After that, I don't think I could do a short stint.. 7 nights felt like the perfect amoun of time to get used to the ship and all it has to offer.... IMHO, anything less would be rushed.

We are really undecided about what to do, but are leaning toward the 7 night cruise... at least for today! I really think we will enjoy the 7-night one the most, but the thought of Disney in early October is SO appealing. None of us have ever been to Disney except for the summer (excuse the grammar... I know it sounds odd, but not how it should be! ) I really think I would love being in Disney without having to deal with the heat and massive crowds. I will not make any decisions until after Labor Day... one trip in the works at a time is all I can handle! We have rented a house in the mountains for the long weekend, and will be going with my in-laws, and my BIL and his family (the ones that met us at Disney.) It should be a lot of fun. The house is on 11 acres, and has a hot tub, pool table, ping pong, fuse ball, 2 big screen TVs... we expect to never see the kids!

Kari - the house in the mountains sounds heavenly!!

Disney in October is different from anything else! We did it twice... You get on line for a ride, enjoy it, then get right back on if you'd like! Only thing we found is that the park hours are abbreviated - we wanted to be out later and everything seemed to close too early. But, it was before Dana was born, when we were young & in love like Courtney & Ryan! With kids, it probably is enough time to enjoy everything, and then go back to the room and relax for the next day!

But... think about that 7 night Disney Cruise! THAT was a vacation of a lifetime!

That's OK- Scilla was still a little tipsy from the drink at LeCellier, don't think she could have handled another one

We ended up cathing the 9PM American Adventure show, met a couple from RI, the wife actually works across the street from me, she was asking why we were playing games outside all week (It was our employee appriciation week) and we got a magical moment certificate from the guy in America

Hi all. Got back Sunday at 4am. Gotta love Atlanta. Don't have my computer hooked up yet and I'm at my mom's so I don't have much time. Sorry I missed you guys at Epcot. Well, we ended up leaving on Thursday night instead of Friday morning. My mom took the girls to Chick-Fil-A and when they got home we had the car packed and told them that we were going to the beach for our anniversary. We drove to Tallahassee (about 5 hours from here) and spent the night. When we got to the hotel the girls woke up and asked where we were so we told them we were in Quincy, FL. The next morning after we checked out and were on I-10 I told them that there was some kind of problem we weren't in Quincy we were in Tallahassee. DH said that's 1/2 way to Disney World why don't we just go there. They didn't believe that we were going until we gave them b'day cards with Disney $$ in them. They were excited 7 then Alyssa started to cry because she wanted to go to the beach!! It was still a great surprise though!! I can't tell you how many times they thanked us during the trip.

Saturday 6/23 was our 1st day in the parks and Alyssa and I were riding Dumbo during Wishes...her little eyes were sparkling and she said "thank you for bringing me to Disney for my birthday". That combined with Wishes just made me cry...I think I was as happier than she was!!
