Wahoo!!!! congrats! That's so amazing! Please, come back- don't leave us hanging-- we want details and PICTURES!!!!

My nephew, whose older than me btw, is his excepting his first child with his wife. She's 6 1/2 weeks right now. So I'll be a great Aunt in February.

I'm back and still tired. We all slept in until after 11 am today and Brooke slept in until 1 pm. We were all shot. It's going to take me awhile to catch up on all that has been posted since I've been gone and I have to go and get subscribed to everyone who has started their TRs...

I'm going to wait just a bit to start mine up tho...

We will not be fellow June stalkers next year. We haven't decided what we are doing yet, but I finally got the kids school schedule straightened out, and their breaks are May, July, and October.
We will not be going back in June again unless we have no other choice. After going before in October, we much preferred that time of year, especially as far as crowds and weather go!!!

Hey Stalkers!!
We got back yesterday from the most magical vacation ever...hmm I wonder if getting engaged had anything to do with that. :goodvibes :cloud9: :goodvibes :cloud9: I will be writing my TR soon so check it out for all the details. I hope you all had wonderful vacations too!!
That is soooo wonderful and I cannot wait to hear all the details!!! Congratulations! :flower3:

We also womt be back next year since we want to try new places but we will definnaltely be back and 2009 also construction at AKL wasnt bad at all and we were even in construction area

I'm back, I'm back, I'm back!!!!! It's so good to be home, but we had a great trip!!!! A HORRIBLE trip home--- almost didn't get home b/c of all of the atlanta delays (we had a layover there)... Finally arrived to my house at 2am!!!! Which was 3am Disney time, and I had been up since 5am Disney time the day before, so yes, that's almost 24 hours of park time, sun, hurt feet, and travelling. That, my friends, is why I'm glad to be home =)

I'm special!!!!! I got one from her! And can I just say how adorable she is???? Precious... I loved her!!!! I'll have to post the pics of our TOT ride together---- Maybe on the new TR board that DM has created!

Well, Courtney - if you lived closer, you would have a dance assistant, dog walker, plant waterer.... Dana was enamored with you! Thought you were a beautiful Southern Belle. (Dana has a secret desire to be Scarlett O'Hara! ):cutie:

We were delayed getting home, too. At least not as bad as on the way down. Air travel is getting RIDICULOUS! :sad2:

Glad we are all home safely!

Yes those last few days were a killer for us. I couldnt stop sweating. We went to Epcot on Saturday got there when opened. We walked right up to Soarin, and it wasnt a total walk on, but we waited around 10 minutes total. It was cool, it was my first time on it.I even did the tame side of Mission Space.
On the way out of Epcot, we ran into the famous DM....I yelled "are you Dawn Marie?" and sure enough it was her. She didnt know who I was as I didnt post any real pictures of myself LOL...I did meet up with the other DIsers at the Epcot meet that night. When my husband downloads the pictures I will post them.

Our first day we went to Epcot, and I was amazed at the small crowd! I kept saying, "umm... where are all the PEOPLE?!" :confused3

We met no one the first day, and Bob said to me, "I think this green mickey head thing isn't real, and people were just pulling your leg!" :lmao:

When we met up with Courtney & Ryan and Laura and her family, the husbands were all talking together, saying, "we thought this stuff was sort of weird! you want us to meet STRANGERS?" LOL Then they were comparing how many Home Depot trips they had to make. :lmao:

the weather was odd this time - some days EXTREMELY hot, others were pleasant. Guess you never know!

I never saw any one from the boards, well except Court and Laura.

The weather was odd.

We will not be fellow June stalkers next year. If we do a Disney cruise... I am thinking of doing the land/sea... just to sneak in some park time! :rolleyes1

Have you cruised before, Kari? The reason I ask is that we did the 7 night Disney Cruise and LOVED it. After that, I don't think I could do a short stint.. 7 nights felt like the perfect amoun of time to get used to the ship and all it has to offer.... IMHO, anything less would be rushed. ;)

We are toying with returning next June, or possibly trying Atlantis in the Bahamas. I really love "the beach" but Dana doesn't want to "be bored', and Bob just goes along with whatever we choose. (What a guy! ) She would like to go back to the Dolphin again... I'll wait to think out some other options and then decide.

I'm really leaning toward a 7-night western caribbean cruise, and tacking on a day at Sea World at the end, or the 3 land/4 sea cruise with Sea World at the end. I really don't want to do Sea World, but the kids have been begging for quite some time. All the ports of call on the western cruise are places I really want to see, so it is really hard to rule that cruise out. But... I really want to take the kids back to the park for at least a few days. I don't know how affordable cruising will be for my budget, though. The cruise itself is about the same as going to Disney for the week, but once you start tacking on shore excursions and such... It will take a good deal of planning and saving to do it "right."

Jackie... which cruise line are you cruising with? I don't really know anything about cruising, and I am wondering which cruise lines cater towards young families and kids besides Disney. Wynn and I can enjoy everything as long as the kids are happy and entertained. Once they get bored... everybody is miserable!

Kari - Dana was 7 when we went on our Disney Cruise. She LOVED IT! The "Oceaneer's Club" was terrific - lots of things to do - and we never forced her to attend - she picked a few things to do and the rest of the time we did things together... It was a terrific experience for the three of us - especially for our first time cruising. My number one suggestion is get a stateroom with a verandah... it makes the place feel so much more open - and it was SO pleasant having a cup of tea in the morning, sitting watching the ocean rush by!:cool2:

Welcome back DM!!! I didn't get to meet any of you. My mom ended up cancelling her plans to meet us then it was too late to rearrange my plans again. I think I briefly saw tnmomof4 at Seasons. She was gone by the time I realized I knew her:guilty:

We're returning in April before our AP's expire. I really didn't think the weather or the crowds were bad.

Oh I can sum it up very easily. 9 year old nephew who got mad if he didn't get his way. He wanted to ride rides but didn't want to wait. He wanted to go swimming all the time. It was him, him, him. He never listened and half the stuff he did I'm sure my mom would of tanned my hide if I did. There were a few days when my sister got under the weather and we went back to the room and he got upset cause we didn't go on a certain ride.

http://disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1498021 ya'll need to read this it brought tears to my eyes, reading the story.

Wow! thanks for posting the link, Mandy. that WAS a "tissue alert" for sure!

Sorry that your nephew was being a "nudge" as we say in our family! Sounds like you do deserve a "do over" - A 21st birthday trip should be fabulous! :cool1:

It's fine, now I'm dealing with him again and I'm planning next year's vacation. It's actually kind of fun for me.
