Yikes! Lots to catch up on. Did a garage sale last two days. I didn't do so well but my mother did so it wasn't all bad. Now I got a lot of cleaning to do but wanted to catch up with you guys real quick. I got so upset at ds today because he got into the neckwraps for Disney. My bf teased me that I spend 1/2 my day telling my children "no getting into the disney stuff". LOL I probably do. They love going through my Disney bags in my closet with all the little things I've gathered for them.

Ok. Real quick about band stuff. I got to watch Guns N Roses play softball with our local band once. That's about how good it gets for me. LOL

OK, I have an 80's hair band story too. I didn't get to touch anyone famous, but I was on the front row against the stage and almost got crushed to death at a Bon Jovi concert and they had to pull me over before I passed out. I think about 50,000 people saw my undies cuz I had on a very tight, very short mini skirt.
Woohoo you hootchie mama! Good thing you didn't have a thong on, or did you?

Sorry about your nonprofitable garage sale. We're trying one next Saturday. Hopefully I'll be able to get rid of at least a couple of strollers and baby stuff. I'm going to really drop those prices just to get rid of them!

I saw Judas Priest too. I used to have these leather chain things that went around my black boots. They were conviscated (sp?) by security before the concert. I guess they heard about what I did to Scott Baio;) Did you go to Monsters of Rock at Giants Stadium?
Wow, leather and all! You crack me up about the Scott Baio story though. Never been to the Monsters of Rock concert anywhere. I've seen a lot of people in concert though none since 2004. I've been to: REO Speedwagon, Judas Priest 3x, Aerosmith 2x, Styx, Rolling Stones 2x, Pink Floyd, Billy Squire, Ozzy Osbourne, Sammy Hagar (before Van Halen), Van Halen (w/David Lee Roth), Eric Clapton, Foreigner, 38 Special, Uriah Heep, Eddie Money, Cheap Trick, Damn Yankees, Bad Company, Toby Keith 3x, Brooks & Dunn...and probably more that I just can't think of now. Now I would love to see, get this, Il Divo! Can you say Hubba Hubba? And I would absolutely love to see Paul McCartney!!!

Please tell me that Axl Rose did not throw a temper tantrum and hit someone with a bat! :rotfl2:

Can I just say WOW? Either you have a really good memory or you were taking notes as you were reading! :rotfl: You sure covered a lot in one post!

I've got to jump in to this conversation about bands. My 2 favorite "old" hair bands are Guns 'N Roses and Motley Crue. One or two summers ago (I think two) Motley Crue came to the NYS Fair and I, of course, bought tickets. But I could not find anyone to go with me. I didn't want to waste the tickets so I ended up taking Antonia with me! People were looking at me like I was completely crazy, taking my 5 year old daughter to see Motley Crue. Looking back, maybe I was a bit crazy...

She had a great time by the way. She was singing along to the songs and dancing. It was actually a pretty cool mother/daughter bonding experience.

(OK, do you all think I'm a horrible parent now?)

And I actually touched the leg of Steven Tyler of Aerosmith when I rushed the stage during a concert! hee hee

EWWW! You're lucky you didn't catch something! :rotfl:

I spend 1/2 my day telling my children "no getting into the disney stuff". LOL I probably do. They love going through my Disney bags in my closet with all the little things I've gathered for them.

Mine keep digging out the snacks. They ate the entire box of Rice Krispy Treats. 24 big bars! Today I went ahead and packed them all, and told them they better not touch the bag!

I've been to: REO Speedwagon

Wynn was in an original band, Paris Red, when we were dating... 1991-1994. They toured with REO Speedwagon for I think 2 weeks as their opening band. He said they were all royal *sses!

So, I've been wedding dress shopping this past week and have it down to a 5 dresses:
I have a poll here:
http://yearbook50.livejournal.com/215622.html

eh actually the poll isn't working like its supposed to so nevermind

I LOVE  #4, and #1 is my 2nd choice.

We went to the Disney store Friday night and loaded their gift cards. They have saved $160 each. (It was closer to $150, but I told them I would round up to the nearest $10.) The T-shirts were still $5, so Wynn and the kids got 3 each, and I got 2. Then I dropped everyone off at home, and went to Wal-Mart to buy shorts. They had some really cute ones for $7 each. So now I am all set!

Today I have been trying to get the house really clean. Then I can work on packing and such this week, and only have to go over the house quickly on Friday. Wynn will take the car for an oil change Friday, then clean it inside and out. Then we'll load it up Friday night, and head out between 7 and 8 Sat AM!!! :cheer2:

Hey Kari, I noticed ya'll will be at MK on the 22nd. We will be there that morning until around noon. I'll bee stalking you.:thumbsup2
Did you load up on the tiki kingdom shirts at Disney Store? I got the boys the tiki Mickey and tiki Captain Jack Sparrows and Chris the tiki Grumpy. I didn't find any tiki ones that I liked in my size, so I got the Hawaiian Minnie Mouse one. Then I had to buy the boys the hawaiian Mickeys.

I'm not sure yet. Probably at Pecos Bill's Tall Tale Cafe around 11 or 11:30. My oldest son who is autistic is very OCD and must have his McDonald's fries from the fry cart in Frontieerland which is right outside of Pecos Bill's so we will eat there so one of us can go in and order the real food, and the other can go get the Micky D fries for Nick. He's so high maintenance, but we love him!

That would have been a good concert. What other groups have you seen?

And "The Adventures of Spin and Marty" and the "Annette" show....
Okay..I'm not that old! I remember watching reruns of Spin & Marty. Wasn't Tim Considine on that? I didn't know they were reruns when I was a kid and I thought he was the cutest. Just like I didn't know that Brady Bunch were repeats and I had the biggest crush on Peter (ew, now!)

I probably would not have brought my kids to that concert but concerts at the State Fair now aren't as bad as what concerts used to be in the 80s. I remember people smoking - both cigs and pot - at concerts and it was just totally disgusting. I'm so glad that they banned smoking in those public places now.

This also reminds me that I saw Motley Crue also; I think they came with Dokken back in the 80s.

EWWW! You're lucky you didn't catch something! :rotfl:
I still like Aerosmith and would touch his leg to this day! :lmao: I don't find him sexy or anything, just a cool rock star! :thumbsup2

Oh yeah! I remember Wynn. His was the one I slept with so I could meet the band! :rotfl2: Uhm.....I NEVER EVER DID THAT!!

That's not OCD - that's just having good taste for fries!!!

I have so much to do now for Alec's family birthday party. So, I won't be on until maybe later...that's a big maybe. Have fun today all!

Hey I have the Alabama fightsong as one of mine too! Roll Tide!

Yeah!!! Roll Tide!!! I'll be sure to tell DH that you are Bama fans too!

Sorry about your nonprofitable garage sale. We're trying one next Saturday. Hopefully I'll be able to get rid of at least a couple of strollers and baby stuff. I'm going to really drop those prices just to get rid of them!

Hopefully your baby stuff will sell...baby stuff just doesn't sell at garage sales around here. We had a REALLY nice baby swing that we tried to sell for $10 it didn't sell in ours so we asked our neighbor to put it in hers the next week for $5 and it still didn't sell!! I just save all of baby stuff and kids clothes to sell at one of our local semi-annual kid's consignment sales. I get rid of it and make money for Disney too

I made my "1st last" trip to the Disney store last night. I'm sure I will go again though. :goodvibes I intended on getting the girls gift cards but then I remembered reading on here somewhere that they had princess Disney $$. So I got them each $50. I know the gift cards would have been easier but I couldn't pass up the princesses. In the past I have just kept their Disney $$ in separate envelopes so that's what I'll do again. That's all I got last night becasue I have loaded up on the Tiki Kingdom shirts the past 2 weeks!

We had an exciting/scary night last night...about 9 we were at Wal-mart and Paul said "you wouldn't hurt right here on your shoulder (left) if you were having a heart attack would you?"...um yes you would! Then he was having a pain like he had never had before and his left arm & hand were tingly. So I immediately told him that we were going to the hospital and asked him which one he wanted to go to. We were at Wal-Mart in 2 cars so we all loaded in mine and headed to the hospital that is only 5 mins from the house. A friend came and picked up the girls for me around 10. They did an EKG and bloodwork to check for cardiac enzymes. THANKFULLY they were both OK and the doc said that this did not appear to be a cardiac event then. He said that there are a lot of things that can cause chest pain but also that the bloodwork is not 100% accurate. So he wants him to follow up with his regular doc. Then I told him that we were going to Disney in less than 2 weeks and he told him to follow up with his regular doc on Monday. So he is probably in for a stress test and other things before we go.

I'm sure if someone was listening to us they would have thought we were crazy...here he was in the ER for chest pain, hooked up to a bp cuff, an oxygen saturation monitor and all those contacts on his chest for constant monitoring and we were talking about him riding Rock N Rollecoaster, Test Track, Splash, Big Thunder, Space...etc.

For all of you that pray please pray for him...it really scared both of us and our girls!
