Well I found out what's wrong with my car. I have to get the radiator replaced. I can pick it up and drive it but it will take a week or so to get the part in.

Kari, you are my hero - all the cropping and strategic placement in the world would still not be enough to get me to post a bathing suit photo of myself! :rotfl:

:lmao: Trust me... it was an exception to the rule! The pic had just the right angle (and distance!) to be VERY deceptive! You should see the ones I didn't post... talk about scary! :scared1: Anyway... you will all see the real me in a few more weeks!

I used to be able to pack the kids clothes in the suitcase a week before, but now I have to go hunting my shirts from Haley's room so i can wash them, then hide them from her so I can get to wear them for the trip. Both kids like to pack their own suitcases now so I monitor what goes and what doesn't get to go.

I can't figure out how you all pack this far in advance. We are USING our stuff until a few days before we go! I will start to gather things we don't use, and make lists... but I can't pack until a couple of days before we go. I have to get everything washed, folded, and put away... then I can pull out the things we want to take. I will wash on Wed, pack bags on Thurs, clean house and load car on Fri, and leave Sat AM. Well... that's the plan! Last year we were up 1/2 the night on Fri packing, and loaded the car Sat AM! And left the house like a tornado had been through! I am determined to do better this year! :rolleyes1

You sound just like me. I have a hard time packing this far in advance. Honestly we dont have that many clothes to be able to pack now and still clothe us for the rest of the weeks. LOL...
What day are you leaving?
We plan on leaving early am on June 16th.

After all this talk about when we all pack. How about this question...

Do you or any family members wear an article of clothing more than once on your vacation?

Normally I do wear shorts and some tops more than once but we have gone in the cooler weather and it wasn't as humid. Remembering what it was like on our honeymoon in July way back when, it felt like a waterfall of sweat on my back at times. So, I am going to pack enough for a different outfit for each day while on vacation for everyone. There will be a lot of clothes taken this time. I may try to get some laundry done in between because I tend to favor certain clothes more. Oh, and unless my shorts are disgusting I will probably wear them more than once.

Well if we get to do laundry while we are on vacation, then yes we will wear the clothing more then once.

Yes, I pack about 4 pair of shorts and 6 or 7 shirts for each of us, but as I mentioned earlier, I like to change clothes after our mid day swim break. So mid trip I wash and may re-wear some things, especially shorts.

I would like to know... Do you all have a tradition of what you do first at WDW? Do you ride a certain ride first? Or eat at a certain restaurant first? What is going to be the first few things you do this year even if it isn't tradition?

. This is what will be the first few things we will be doing.

For us, we never go to the parks the first day we arrive. We try to save our tickets so we have one full day. Normally we check into the hotel, get that all situated. If the weather is good, we take the kids for a swim. Always the first night we go to DTD...that gets us(ME)in the mood for Disney. MK is always our first park we go to. The first ride we ALWAYS do at MK, is the people mover ride. I always forget it has a new name. That is our tradition to ride that first, and look below to see all the people going every which way.

We will leave about 7 AM on the 16th. It took us a little over 9 hours to drive down last year. We hope to get there around 5, get settled into the hotel, and get to Margarittaville by 7:30 priority seating.

I tend to wear the same underwear over and over and over... :rotfl: I actually pack 1 outfit/day, an extra outfit, and a couple pairs of capris. I will wear the same shorts over if they are not dirty, but not the shirts. The kids get new clothes each day because they get dirty. Wynn gets new clothes because he sweats too much. I don't do any laundry while there, with the exception of washing my bras in the sink at night. PJs I wear a few times because I shower before putting them on at night.

I pack WAY too much but we usually wear 2 outfits a day because of the heat. I also do laundry while were there so there isn't piles of it when we get home.

Ha!, sounds like Scilla (packs way too much), yet she stills manages to wear the same thing more than once!

I also wear the same shorts a couple of times, most shirts only once

Had a thought... ... anyone going to Planet Hollywood? I have a $15 voucher I can't use. Let me know, and I'll send it to you!

We are arriving into Orlando on the 16th. We will drive to Georgia and spend the night and get there on the 16th. Does anyone usually waste a ticket on a half day or would you advise settling in and starting my park hoppers on Sunday?

Plus on the Jimmy Buffett do you have to have priority seating? This is my first trip to his place (did LuLu's in Gulf Shores) and really, REALLY want to eat there.

Since we are renting a house we are able to do laundry which comes in handy before we leave for the beach portion of our trip. I will usually rewear shorts and some shirts, but only if I can wash them because it gets way too hot and I feel disgusting. I try and wear something different each day though for picture purposes. I cant be seen wearing the same thing in AK and Epcot, gosh! :lmao: While at the beach I change at least 2-3 times a day, so that is why doing the laundry at the rental house comes in handy.

I am sure you may get dift answers. For us, we dont waste a day on our park hoppers the day we arrive. Simply because we are going at a busy time, and like to be at the park for opening, and have a full day for each ticket.

We will use our first ticket on Sunday. After the long drive, we like to relax. We will stay at a cheapie hotel outside of Disney on Sat night, then check in at our resort early Sun AM, pick up our tickets, and hit the parks running.

I haven't eaten at Jimmy Buffet's before. I figured with it being a Sat night, and with nightclubs down there, I didn't want to risk a long wait. They only took my name, no credit card or anything... so if I don't show it won't make any difference.

I always go to a park whenever I get there. I usually get to the hotel around noon. I actually buy an extra day just in case I want to go to the park for a liitle while on my last day.

I figured since it's only $2 difference between 6 and 7 day tickets it's worht $2 to spend a few hours in the park

Of course It's only Scilla and I, so that might change when I start bringing kids with me;)

Also for Jimmy Buffett- I have eat there a couple of times, but we usually go at an off time (2PM) and have never really had a problem getting a seat- usually there was 8-10 of us

So I can call them and make a reservation and have a table for us or just go early? (Buffett)
