DM that photo is TOO cute! Especially with the Disney shirt on & the photo in the background. Perfect!

Awwww! DM, that is too precious!
I love the pic of Rob & Brooke...I have several of those with my girls and Paul...they are such sweet pictures!

Thank you all! I liked the Disney shirt too ;) ! The photo in the background is Port Sanibel Marina in Ft Myers. That was my favorite photo when we vacationed down there. I absolutely loved that place!!!! Uhm...besides Disney, of course. Please also notice the Legos and mail sitting on the end table. Such a neat freak I am, eh?

I would like to know... Do you all have a tradition of what you do first at WDW? Do you ride a certain ride first? Or eat at a certain restaurant first? What is going to be the first few things you do this year even if it isn't tradition?

We check in at the resort. Since we check in early we don't get to the room until later. We leave our luggage to be put in our room. (This is our first time at ASMu so I am sure the kids will want to look around and in the store.) I always have a bag already packed with things we will need in the park like fans and that kind of stuff. After check in and parking the van... we head straight to the buses and straight to MK. We rent our double stroller. I pay for our whole stay upfront. Then we get maps and a times guide. The boys always get their Disney hats and one pin. We always get our picture taken by the photopass photographers. The one with the castle in the background. Then we eat at Crystal Palace. This is what will be the first few things we will be doing.

We checkin & head right to the parks too. This time it's MK first as last year we didn't get there until the 4th day:scared1:

Our must eat restaurants are Kona & CMC. Rides it's EE, TOT, RNR & Soarin'
It wouldn't be a trip to Disney without them.:cloud9:

A tradition that we started last trip is to eat at Chef Mickey's on our 1st night and then ride the monorail. Here is our plan for our 1st day...

We will hit MK 1st thing Saturday morning (now 1st thing depends on what time we arrive on Friday...still not sure if DH will be able to take off all day or not yet) so this could range from opening to sometime in the afternoon! Like you we will get a photopass with the castle in the background...we will either go to Fantasyland, Toon Town or Frontierland depending on the crowds. We will have dinner at Chef Mickey's at 6 and then hopefully go back to MK for Wishes...if we are too tired to go back for Wishes we plan to ride the monorail around the monorail resorts and then thru Epcot. As you can see the 1st day is up in the air but I have definite plans for the other days!!

I'm always reading on the budget board about others sharing a Photopass. Does anyone know how this works?

You simmer! :rotfl2: So THERE! When are you coming home? Is the weather really that bad in Dallas? I keep seeing Texas on the Weather Channel...

Driving home tomorrow.... Ah, yes... 7 more hours in the car

It has been raining non stop.... Luckily, for the crawfish boil, it was WONDERFUL. B/c of all the rain, it wasn't hot at all. But it decided to stop for us to eat which was perfect.... Today it's been raining again but slacked off for a little while for us to hang out and take the nephews to the pool. It's been fun, but I'm really excited to get home.... Especially since there's 10 days till I close on my house!!!!!

PS- Love that picture! Priceless~

The second couple isn't with us on the first day so I get to take Shaun whereever i want him to go.

We get into MCO at 11:30am so I'm assuming we'll get to Pop at around 1pm. Check in and changing (packed in a carry-on) since we have dinner at Victoria & Albert's that evening at 6pm so after Pop-Check in and general exploring we are off to the MK just for him to walk down Main Street and go on Pirates...then off to the Poly for him to see where we are getting married, take some photos and then off to the Grand Floridian for some exploring and photo taking then dinner :D

This deviates from what I normally do though. First day, I generally go to Epcot and ride Spaceship Earth & Test Track. But that might not work well at the moment considering the time constraints before dinner.

This is what I was told when I asked this a month or so ago so this is what I know.

They can link two photopasses together. So two families/people get a photopass and use it during their stay and then at the end of the visit get Disney to link the photopasses together. Then get the CD made at the very end of both families trips. Then both families pictures are on one CD. Then you split the cost of the CD. Since you buy the CD you own the pictures and can do what you want with them and the CD too. Then you make a copy of the CD. Then you both have a CD with pictures on it at half the cost. I guess you just delete the other persons pictures after making the copy if you want.

Remember this is only what I was told.

My mom is joining us for 3 days so I am definitely going to have her get a photopass and have Disney link ours together before she leaves. She is leaving before me.

I don't know how it works on line. I know you can look your pictures up on line for 30 days (I think) after your trip so you can order them straight from Disney. So I don't know if the person that you link with pictures are on your on line account and vice versa.

Usually our first day is at MK, but since we are getting in around noon, and don't want to waste our ticket on a half day, we will do things around the resort, swim, maybe parasail or rent some water mice. Then dinner at Ohana and the Wishes cruise. Then next morning it is MK for our first park day. We go to Tomorrowland for a spin on Buzz "Likeyear" that's what the boys called it when they were little so we still call it that. Then head over to SM and then on over to Fantasyland for Pooh, Peter pan and IASW. Then from there it's whatever we feel like doing. We will probably have lunch at Pinochios around noon and then head out to go check in at the Swan, maybe swim and rest for a few hours then head over to Epcot for the evening. We will definitely do Soarin', and Spaceship Earth and then whatever the kids want, probably TT, until Illuminations!

I also just noticed thay are having the Bee Gees band at the American Gardens Theatre at 8pm on our first night so we will probably check that out as we eat our funnel cake and wait for Illuminations. And, hey, I feel like I am having a conversation with myself tonight so someone please post soon or I am gonna get a complex!

We always head to Tomorrowland first too after we eat at Crystal Palace. Buzz Lightyear is always our first ride. Unless the wait is really, really long. Then we get FP. We do SM next too. Fantasyland is next for us too. We usually get a FP for Pooh and do Snow White, Peter Pan and IASW.

I need to make a list of all the FP rides. I want to make sure I know what rides have them.

I love, love the Bee Gees. I am so jealous. What date is this? That's what I get for not getting park hopper tickets. Hmmm.... I wonder how much it would be to add that to my tickets.

They will be there the 18th - 24th so I am sure you will be able to catch them at some point. They have 3 shows 5:45,7:00,& 8:00.

Thanks! It sounds like too much trouble to do it with a stranger. I'm going to skip it.

My little one calls him Buzz Lifeyear.

Speaking of her...yesterday we were talking about the quickest way to get to Disney (I told you we talk about Disney all the time) and she said "when the ponies come to your house & pick you up"...DH had no clue what she was talking about but I knew exactly...she was talking about the commercial where the mom is pricing a Disney vacation and Cinderella's carriage pulls up...Disney marketing is definitely working on her!! :rotfl: :rotfl:

Oh, Sarah, I just saw that you are not doing an Epcot day. How sad. I think you really should. You are doing a lot to give your family this trip, and I think they can suck it up and let you have 1 day to do what you want to. Really, Soarin' Test Track, Mission Space, The Living Seas with the Nemo stuff for the little ones and Turtle Talk with Crush is cool even for the older ones. Then just strolling around and taking it easy in the evening before Illuminations as a Grand Finale. Oh, well as you can tell, I love Epcot and woulldn't dream of a trip to WDW without it. I really think they need to give it another try. And of course you could add on the hopper which I think is $40 per ticket and do a half day. Whatever, I just hope you get to see the BeeGees band. Oh, I just realized that maybe you thought it was the real Bee Gees. No, it is just a Bee Gees Tribute band that does covers of their music. They are called Stayin' Alive.

Yes, I agree that it sounds like too much trouble to do with a stranger. You would have to meet at some point and then get money from them and then make the copy and send it to them. I don't think it is worth the trouble.

I am not splitting the cost with my mom, I just want her pictures on my CD because that means more for me to pick from. The photopass photographer will have to take more pictures. One for my pass and one for my moms. This way hopefully there will be more good pictures. One of my twins is quite the stinker when it comes to taking pictures. He always does something at the last moment anyone takes a picture. I might even have my sister get one at the beginning of our trip.
