I wish I could be there for the TOT ride, but we will be going home on the 23rd. :sad1: Wynn and I have to ride it by ourselves, as the kids won't try it. I think its the word "terror"... so we have been calling it the Hollywood Hotel Tower of Fun! I think we may have Tucker convinced to give it a try! And if Tucker tries it... maybe Avery will, too.

Just tell them Dana's trick of "close your eyes"... :goodvibes She figures you can't be afraid of what you can't see. lol

I hope Wendy is having fun in Disney this week. They said on the news tonight that air quality in Orlando was the worst in the country because of smoke from the wildfires. Then with "Andrea" churning off the coast, the weather is rainy for this time of year, too. Hate to say it... but I'm glad I'm not there right now. Maybe the rain will help with the fires...

It's amazing how many fires are burning in FL right now. Hopefully Wendy is having fun despite the fires and rain!

DH & I had some time without the girls tonight and we bought some things for the trip. We got some travel size toiletries and 3 cans of spray sunscreen. For all of you June veterans how often do you reapply sunscreen when you are at Disney? We are planning to take afternoon breaks so I'm thinking that we really don't need to take it with us to the parks. We can just put on more before we swim and then apply more when we head back to the parks later. What do you all think?

I find the spray doesn't last as long as the cream, personally. (This being from someone who glows in the dark!) Last year we applied Water Babies lotion before getting dressed. Then took a spray to touch-up mid-afternoon. We also reapplied the lotion after we went to the pool. Worked well for us. We did get a little pinkish, but no one really got burned. The other thing I did was keep a face stick in the bag for noses and cheeks... and Avery's part! She did burn there the first day.

We go in June every year. The spray works great for us, and my kids have never burned. They are not fair skinned though. The spray I use is a 50 spf. I always spray them outside our room before we leave. Then I take the suncreen towelettes for touch-ups during the day. These are really convienient to carry around and work great on faces too.

DM-- Your LGMHs are SO much cuter than mine! Why didn't I think of putting mine on colorful paper???? So cute!

Love the wine!
I didn't really put them on that paper. It was just for the picture. Now I'm thinking I should! :confused3

OK girls (and Rags)... This is Avery and I at her preschool. They were having "Muffins for Moms" this AM.

And Avery's recipe...

I loved the picture of you and Avery. BTW - I love the name Avery. Rob wouldn't let me "have" that name but it was in the running. I had to re-read Avery's recipe because I thought it was serious at first and what was I missing? That is absolutely adorable.

Here is my updated itenerary
I'll update any new things on our first page later today!!! I love that I'm included! Woohoo!

But you are really really really really happy you are going to meet a bunch of us at Epcot that night!

Even if you plan on afternoon breaks there is always the chance it might not happen. Always good to carry something just in case... We have the sprays but......

I love the idea of sunscreen towelettes. I'm on a quest to find them and buy them for our trip! Thank you!!!!

I have never heard of towelettes. Does Wal-mart carry them? What brand?

I got mine at Toys R Us. They are the Disney brand. They are called Disney Sun Pals Sunscreen Towelettes. They are 30 SPF (which I think is enough for touch-ups). They are waterproof, sweatproof and hypo-allergenic. There are 12 in a package. I think I got them for $8.00. My Walmart doesn't carry them.

liquid malloxx is known for tkaing the heat out of your stomach. Well what you do you is put it on the sunburn then take a cold shower and no more heat left where the sunburn is. A kind CM taught us this years ago.

I had no idea...I have never heard of this before.:confused3

Suntan lotion...do you all buy new every year? I had bought at least 4 last summer. Do you think they are any good? Do you think I should buy new before Disney?

I always buy new. But all sunscreen has an expiration date so I would think that as long as it hasn't expired it is still good. When I checked the leftover lotion I had from last year it was very watery. I wasn't thick like suntan lotion is supposed to be, and it had expired anyway.

Many sunscreens have an expiration date on the bottle, if not you can call the company (I have done this) & with the codes #'s they can tell you how long it is good for.

When the kids are just running around our yard I haven't bought new. But for all day every day, like going down to Disney, we will definitely be buying brand spankin' new - and a lot of it. I'm the fairest of all my family. Rob has nice Italian skin and the kids have coloring more like his. Lucky them. Just call me freckles! :lmao:

Looky there, Mandy... I knew you were good for something! ;) I have never heard of that before, but I will keep it in mind! As for sunscreen, I usually just use it until it is gone, but they rarely last more than a summer anyway. We go through TONS of the spray stuff every year... especially at the lake or the beach. I just can't bring myself to rub in lotion once they get sandy!
