That would scare the crap out of me. I am surprised that he didn't send you to urgent care anyway for more tests. This could be a serious law suit if it turns out to be more. Do you have diabetes? I do and I have never had numbness from that or from a virus. :confused3 I was a medical transcriptionist and those symptoms would have scared me enough to say I wanted an EKG at least. But then again, I am not a doctor...just a mom who plays one at home.

I've been on webmd;) since a posted. I said to DH after we left that I'm surprised he didn't do an EKG either. I do not have diabetes but my grandmother on my mother's side did. I let the doctor know and he ran a test that measures my blood sugar levels for the past 10 weeks. It was a 4.9 which he said is good. blood pressure 120/80. He said he's going to call on Monday to see if I came down with a virus.

I told DH I need House for a diagnois:sick: . He told me I watch too much TV.

Girl you gotta make it.... What's in it:
chicken, duh.
italian dressing dry mix packet
sour cream and chives cream cheese
white wine (yummo)
cream of mushroom soup

You put it in the crockpot and cook it for a few hours then serve it over pasta... It's AMAZING... Restaurant quality and SO easy.

If any of you are interested, I'll actually type out the exact recipie on here, just let me know... But if you want it, you have to PROMISE me that you'll make it soon and tell me how you like it!

MMMMMM I am always looking for quick and yummy crock pot recipes. I love coming home from work and dinner smells so good and its already cooked!!! Its the next best thing to having an ADR!

Sorry you didnt win anything. Honestly, that seems to be my luck. I always say I could be the only one in the room, and not win;)

That's my luck too... I never win a darn thing. Sorry you didn't win singingmom-- Hopefully it was still fun though!

Tell RB that makes me mad at him...

DD had a great time and looked lovely in her new dress, so that was "win" enough for me. One of her classmates followed her around all night - and she is SO oblivious to his attentions. If only they can stay that innocent forever. ::sigh::

I keep re-reading everytime I see you call DM's husband "RB" because those are MY initials! I keep thinking you are addressing me. lol

Remember, I hate mushrooms.... You can't even taste it. It's what helps give it liquid sauce.

What about Cream of Chicken soup for those who dont like mushrooms?
It does sound like a yummy receipe. This is from somebody who really doesnt like to cook.

Hi all. I had a bit of a scare but I'm fine. I woke up with numbness in my arms and a bad headache it went away but I had numbness in my cheeks. Of course I'm thinking the worse (stroke) so I had DH take me to the doctor. He checked me over. He said its not a stroke and that I'm coming down with a virus. Oh he checked my blood sugar too for diabetes and that was normal.
I've never heard of your body getting numb from a virus. Have any of you?

Yes - I actually have heard of that. It was very wise to go right to the doctor... and if you continue to feel poorly, go back.
Hopefully you will be feeling better soon - just take it easy and keep monitoring yourself. ;)

I'll bet you could substitute cream of chicken and it would probably taste the same. A friend of mine always uses cream of chicken instead of cream of mushroom in recipes.

My girls love Sam's too especially on Saturdays when they are giving out free samples of food

I'll look for the recipe later...have fun while you are out!!

We love Sams too, expecially for the samples. YUM...how do you think we feed the kids for free on the weekends:rotfl2:

Hi everybody. We had a late night last night. The kids baseball games lasted until 7:00 p.m. and then we ate at Chilis for dinner.

So what all you wonderful people doing today???
.

Today we are going to look at houses since we are moving. Moving is such hard work, but I am excited.

That's exactly why my boys love Sam's. If they try something they like they usually talk me into getting it.

Back from the "Gala" - we won NOTHING. :sad1:

I am sorry you didn't win. I guess I am the same as everyone else. I have never won anything either.

On another note, our dinner was FABULOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We went to a very nice steakhouse here. It was wonderful. OMGracious, we left so full! And we got free dessert b/c I told them it was our anniversary... It was some chocolate moose (is that how you spell it?) with a delish crust... It was AMAZING.... We had a wonderful time!!!!

I am glad you had a wonderful dinner. The free dessert is always great!!

It sounds really good. I would like to make it too. I always am looking for something easy and fast. This sound great.

What a scare. I hope you are doing okay. My brother has been a diabetic for over 20 years. I don't ever remember him having numbness in his arms or face, but he has had numbness in his feet. I think only because of poor circulation. I am not a doctor or nurse, and I don't give out medical advice, but since you asked if any of us heard of a virus, I will tell you what I have heard about. The only virus I ever heard of making you get numb is Bell's Palsey. One of my friends had numbness with a headache and it turned out she had Bell's Palsey. I don't know all the symptoms or if it really is a virus. I just know you have the numbness with headach. It just is the only thing I ever heard of making your body get numb in places with a headache. I really hope you feel better!!!

I hope everyone has a great day.

We only go to Sam's on Saturdays--- Usually I get a pretzel and a water from their little shop, and then fill up on samples! Yum!

OMGoodness-- I'm so glad everything is okay. I've never heard of that. What kind of virus do they think it is?

And that's how we always end up spending way too much money!!

jjohnson - that sounds really scary! I'm so glad that the dr determined that you were not in immediate danger, I would follow up with your regular dr on Monday but if you feel worse before then you might want to go to the ER.

With all of this talk of not winning wouldn't it be great if when we all return from our trips that we all have stories of winning something in the YOAMD???

YOAMD? help me out here...
;)

And, I can't complain, because I have won things on several ocassions... especially a VERY special prize.

It just would have been fun to win last night, too. lol good thing Atlantic City is a few hours away, or I would be in trouble! :goodvibes just kidding!

Year of a Million Dreams - I am hoping for something at least...nothing big and if we don't win anything it definitley won't make our trip any less special!! The night in the castle sounds wonderful but for planners like us it would really throw a hitch in things.

OK what was your VERY special prize? I won a car when I was 12...yep in 1980 I won a 1963 Corvair (it had the engine in the back). One of my Dad's friends was in the Corvair club and they had restored one and raffled it off. We kept it until I was almost 17...Daddy would drive it on the weekends some and it was fine until I started driving it all the time and then it needed CONSTANT maintenance. So we sold it and got me something more reliable.

Good lord you guys were a chatty bunch last night. Four pages for me to read. I did have a blast though last night. I will have details as soon as I get my pictures up and edited along with the videos.

Glad you had a good time. How close were you to the stage? I look forward to seeing pictures...and videos!:thumbsup2

All the tables near the stage were full but I stood the whole time they performed and had an amazing spot. Honestly if they come to a place near you, it's worth the admission fee to go see them perform. They were so sweet.

I doubt they would come up here to NY. Only the "biggies" come here and usually to the New York State Fair.
