Can I say how jealous I am? I want a laptop really bad but can't justify that cost now! I'll have to sit here in my dining room in a tucked away spot....

I thought an "official" post for DIS Meets were in order. I posted links to them on the front page post.

Good idea!!! That, and some "hints" for myself to remember certain things, especially at AK because I still feel like newbies there.

The only way we can justify it is because we are homeschooling our son. Otherwise we wouldn't have done it.
And as far as AK goes, what hints do you think you need? My best advice is get there about 20 minutes before park opening and go to KS first because the animals are better first thing in the morning in our experience.

For those of you looking to meet at Nemo show in AK... not sure if any of you have been there... I went in February... we arrived about 30 minutes prior to show time - the 11:30 one.... and the line was thru Dinoland.... it was during February recess....just some food for thought

I went this past year at like 2 or 3 in the afternoon and that was the most I had ever seen out. We've done morning and mid-day but that was the best we had.

Truthfully, 98% of the time I get my way in whatever I want to do. And this time, he's just not giving in. I wish he would but I can't fight him on it. He wants to be able to "fly by the seat of his pants" when we are there, and other than our ADRs, he wants to be able to "do whatever".... Bad husband.

Hey all! Geez, I've been away for the weekend and there are, like, 50 pages to catch up on! Don't y'all have lives?

I spent all day today cleaning, doing laundry and running errands. We're preparing for the big storm that's a-comin'! I work for the local school district so I"m hoping for a snow day tomorrow. Cross your fingers for me!

Your lucky you can get him to go... I have gone 5 times since last April with 2 trips that my DH knows about in the next couple of months.... he only came on 2 of the trips... he really only likes the golf and the food.... he goes to the parks but thats just because the kids and I love it..... what am I going to do when the kids are gone...

He doesn't know about the trip I booked for next April at the SOG... its going to be a Christmas present to the family.... it will be our last "family" vacation... my DD will be away at college after that and I am sure her spring break won't be the same as her brothers high school spring break.....
makes me sad thinking about them going away.... there is no one I would rather spend time with than my kids and husband... oh well... there are trips to plan,.... ADRs to make....

I did-- It was so entertaining!!! I had a blast. It was so hard to judge b/c so many of them were great! But between us judges, we were pretty unanimous in our decision, so that was good. I was very fun!

And RE: your other post-- Ryan loves WDW... He went when he was like 4, and the only park was MK. Then we went last year (so really, the first time for him if you think about it)... He LOVED it. We had the most amazing trip. He's just not as much of a planner as me, so it's hard for him when I have a set agenda. And I LOVE agendas--- totally my personality.

Luckily my dh is a big Disney geek too, but he doesn't really like to admit it. But he does know that a good plan is essential at Disney World, or else your in trouble. Time is money you know and at Disney even more so!
