I had a good time, LizAgna.

Also on a sadder note will you guys pray for a local family. I went to high school with their son who was serving overseas to be killed. He was a year or two above me.

How sad...I will definitely pray for his family.

You just have to watch for "deals"! I got that dress on clearance at Lord & Taylor.... originally $75...... I got it for $17 :cool1: Her "dinner dance" dress is a little pricey because I ordered it from the catalog "Wooden Soldier", but her graduation dress I got at Bloomingdales and it was marked down also.

A women's college here in Raleigh does a "Cinderella Project" every spring where they give away donated prom dresses. I went last year with my sis, SIL, and 3 teenage nieces. They all found gorgeous dresses that only needed to be cleaned, or have minor repairs.

I think Dana look very pretty in her gala dress, but her backstage photo is absolutely gorgeous! Her face is just glowing!

Mandy... how sad. What was his name? I will definitely add him and his family to my prayers.

I really CAN sing, honest! :goodvibes
If you don't watch out, DM, I'll come up behind you and start with "Zippity Do Da" .... That one is almost as hard to get out of your head as "It's A Small World"! And I know ALL THE WORDS. :lmao:
I would seriously love to hear you sing. :goodvibes I wish our schedules could meet up....

I'm just trying to understand what you typed. Do you mean he was killed already or that you think he will be? :confused3 Either way, anyone serving our country and their families deserves a special prayer.

Good Morning!!!

It's going to be beautiful here today - in the 80s - and I have my shorts and tank top on. :woohoo: Today I'm going to AAA to pay off our vacation.

I am extremely upset at my accountant, who has not returned my phone calls. He did our tax preparation back on Feb 3rd and E-filed. We received our Federal return in less than 2 weeks but we were still waiting for our State return. NYS is known to be slow with returns so I didn't think too much about it until my dad told me he had his return already and he did his taxes after us. I called NYS Tax Dept and they said they never received our E-file. Great. Now the deadline has passed and we probably will be penalized. Our accountant better pay for that penalty. I was planning on using that return to pay off our Disney trip and now I have to use a credit card in the mean time. :headache:

DM--It stinks that you have to wait for your money. I was so anxious to get our tax money back. We have gone through it all, its sad.:(...bills, bills and more bills.
I did take $500 of it and put it into our Disney vacation money..Lucky I thought to do it before all those pesky bills took it from me;)

Its suppose to be in the 80's here as well:banana:
The two older kids were off to a bad start this morning. I hate that. Thank goodness my little one is always in good spirits.. she really saves me from going insane:laughing:

No shorts or tank tops for me though...I am just not ready to expose my big old white legs to the public yet.
I had planned on going to my Jazzercise class this morning,BUT... there is something definitely wrong with the brakes on the van. I took my little Felon to school early(In reference the post last week about the principal calling me), ok I took my son to school early. He missed about 3 hrs worth of classes to be with the principal and such. He needed to go do a make up test. The breaks didnt seem right. Came home and called my husband who then told me not to drive it anymore until he looks at it. He is not a mechanic by trade(though that is what he does for his 2nd job)he an fix anything when it comes to cars and computers.
So me and my little one will be homebound today :(....I think we will take a walk up to the thrift store to see what I can waste my money on;)

OK- I have not had a chance to be on-line since I worked Friday, so I missed A LOT............ Let's see how much I remember:lmao:

Courtney- Your chatting this weekend has put you WAY ahead in the number of posts race;)

JJ- Hope your felling better today

Mandy- glad you had a good time at the concert, and will keep the kid from your town in mind

Sorry- I know there was more, but I just read every post since 5PM on Friday, and can't rember any more specifics...........

As for me, I went to a bachelor party at Foxwoods (it's a local casino) for my old college roomate. Lost my shirt (of course) didn't get to bed till 6am (and even that was in a chair) woke up at 8 and went home, so needless to say my Saturday was shot. Yesterday I spent running errands and still trying to recover:goodvibes

I still have bills to pay too. I guess I could have paid some of them with my returns but I wanted to have at least one thing paid off without charging. Oh well.

I've got them "big old white legs" too but I've gotten used to them. My skin is very light and almost pinky sometimes so I don't even like to tan too much. My skin will thank me when I'm 80! However, even the slightest of sun will bring out my face freckles like crazy. I kinda like them tho...

Thank you everyone. I feel fine today. The docs suppossed to call today to see if I came down with anything:rolleyes1

Oh & I'm also suppossed to stay calm but with a countdown of 59 days - I'm flipping:dance3:

Yes. We do have some good PUBLIC schools here in NY. Of course, we pay for it dearly in our taxes. I am really happy with our boy's elementary school. Evan is having some difficulties and is getting extra help from numerous places. I feel very confident in how they are managing his situation.
