Sunlvr - I'm back because I had to read your explanation about your son. You know, it wasn't the smartest thing for him to do but I don't really think it was at all that bad. People are really freaking out in these times now, especially after the incident this past week.

My son has been know to create a gun with his Legos. No big deal. At least I don't think it is. But that is not the only thing he has created with them and he has created some beautiful and wonderful things.

Whoa! What a punishment you gave!!!! I probably would have done the internet restriction only but maybe I am an easier punisher. Thank goodness I haven't had to worry about anything big yet....and hope I never do have to!

Yes, I was strict on his punishment. BUT...he is at the almost a teenager. I want him to think long and hard about what he did. Although I know he meant no harm, and would never hurt anybody... other people dont know this. I understand the other mother coming in and wanting an explanation.
The guidance counselor had to fill out this report saying if he was a threat or not. They dont consider him a threat to himself or anybody else. I can certainly understand why these things need to be taken seriously, expecially with what happened with the Va Tech shootings. My son and I discussed the Va Tech stuff in detail. He doesnt think what he did was serious. In the big scheme of things it wasnt, but he must know he can NOT do anything like that because people get nervous.

I think the school system goes WAY overboard about things like that. I would have punished my son, but I would have made the principal know I was durn ticked off at being called to come to school over directions for a rubber band shooter and a lego gun. Did they really think he was a threat??? I would have taken the legos, dropped them in the trash can in his office, and said "Problem solved! I don't know why I had to be here to do that!" Not really... but I would have felt like it.

I doubt I'll have time to watch TV much this evening. I generally try to catch ER, but that is about it. I just can't get into the new shows out now... I haven't had enough time to sit and watch to figure out what is going on most of the time!

I just don't really se it as a big thing. There is a world of difference in a school shooting and a rubber band shooter. We used to do that with our 2 fingers and a rubber band, and fire wads of folded paper. If my child brought home directions like that, I would toss them and tell him I had better not find one around the house! Maybe punish him... but I doubt it. I certainly would NEVER have taken them to the school and gotten upset, since its normal boy stuff to do. JMHO

I'm home now, I had a day from you know where today at work. Tomorrow is payday and around 3:00 our president called me to tell me that one of the plants had discovered a problem with the paychecks that are to go out tomorrow. I guess I should say that I am the Accounting Manager but payroll doesn't report to me but since I was the one contacted I had to take control of the system. LONG story short we have a new P/R person whose computer was not set up properly and when the P/R was transmitted to our processing place they doubled all the hours and bonuses for our hourly employees. We had to stop the direct deposits that are to go in tonight and our P/R person is going to have to cut 340 manual checks tomorrow!!! I'm glad I'm home and can forget work and Dis for a little while!!

As far as my screen name goes I wanted something related to Disney but obscurely related to Disney so I asked DD who she would be. We thougth and thought and then she came up with LizAgna it is from That's So Raven in an episode where Raven & Chelsea dressed up as pop stars and went to an Italian restaurant. When someone asked Raven what her name was she looked around on plates and said Liz Agana. That plus when I was about 10 a family friend's little girl who was about 3 at the time told her mommy that she wanted to go play with lasagna...my name is Sonya and that's what she thought people were calling me.

Thank you both!! Tomorrow morning will be interesting...the president sent out an email at 5 so most people were gone by then...the people in our area will get their checks tomorrow but the ones in other states won't get theirs until Saturday at the earliest...I really feel sorry for them!!

csmommy- Yes I'm DVC we bought last March at SSR. I'm booked at OKW 2brm for 6/22-24 with a member discount but the kids really want to stay at Polynesian or BC again so I'm hoping for an AP as we need to rooms.

sunlver-free recycle - I do it & it's great. The kids TV went out & I posted for a 27". I have one within days. We also had 4 trees come down over the past year & logs stacked everywhere. I posted it & 2 guys came & took it all away. Worked out great.

Kanga I think I get the award for most boring DIS name.

Oh & yes all 3 kiddos breastfed. Richard until 6 months when I went back to work. Elise until 8 months but then I found out I was 3 months pregnant with Kenneth & OB said I had to stop. I think with Kenneth it was around 9 months.

I think that covers everything.

Welp, yes, I just said welp, it's not a typo. I say that alot but I don't usually type it. Anyhoo, it's shower night again for the kids. Them kids be dirty! We went to Meany's...I mean Friendly's tonight for dinner.

I know everyone is off to bed for the night, but I still wanted to say Hi. It sounds like everyone had quite the day. My older kids had showers too and twins had baths tonight. My DS 10 went to the zoo today for a field trip so he was really dirty. His friend broke his nose in two places while at the zoo. Am I the only one who worries about our kids when they are not with us and not on school property?

Friendly's is one of our favorite restaurants, but they don't have them here. We have to wait for our summer vacation in Florida to eat here. We look forward to Friendly's.

That's me, too. I have never been one for message boards, but needed some info when planning this time around. I was thrilled to get past Earning my Ears! Now if the tag fairy would only come! Maybe if I leave a LGMH under my pillow...
