Renee... we do the Fantasmic Dinner package every trip because I refuse to wait in that crazy line.... it is really easy. We usually eat at Mama Melrose... last I knew you had your choice of Hollywood and Vine, Mama Melrose and Brown Derby. You order off the menu just like everyone else. They give you a card that allows you back door enterance. The enterance is down by the place where you rent the strollers and wheel chairs. You arrive there about 30-40 mintues before Fantasmic, and show them your ticket and they let you in. You will sit at the right side of the theater if you are looking at the stage. The seats are fine... we always sit towards the back because we don't like to get wet. You do have to reserve with a credit card and they usually make all the Fantasmic reservations before 6pm. If it is a night where there are 2 shows the enterance ticket is for the early show only.

Hope that helps.....:)

Thanks Wendy! That's exactly what I needed to know! :goodvibes We will probably eat at Hollywood & Vine - I haven't enjoyed Brown Derby in the past and I rarely eat at Italian restaurants unless it is true "family run" Italian food! H & V has prime rib and salmon, so hopefully it will be good, even if it is a buffet.
I think I will start making those reservations tomorrow.... :cool1:

The food is so good and if you get an ADR early enough you can get in before the park opens to the public.

Unfortunatly, I won't be able to get scilla up that early

Good food at CP. How old are the girls? Garden Grill is another favourite. I would not do CRT again unless Brookie begged me.

The girls are 5 & 9

I actually like the food at CRT, there was some potato thing I LOVED

Can I just say I wish it was April so I can turn 21?

think of it this way, you can get in all the clubs the next time you go to Pleasure Island

We have always gone to CP for lunch to break up the day. The last time was this past June and my kids were almost 3, 6 and almost 8. They still want to go back. Pooh rocks!

Yeah but I'm not into Pleasure Island, we have a stupid 'law' here in TN, that if the venue allows smoking it's automatically 21+ well I have till April. I'm just going through withdrawls of one of mine groups and they have a show but it's 21 and up.

I'm a little worried about the older

the last 3 years, we have taken them to a Dora show, and disney on ice the last 2 years. she seems to be less and less into it..........

What a terrific aunt and uncle you are!! :thumbsup2

Thanks! The younger one is Scilla's godchild, and since they are the young ones in the family, we include them both when we do stuff

Well, Dora is babyish. I would just outright ask about eating a meal with Pooh.

So good she had to say it twice! ;)

Since they don't know about the trip, and hopefully won't know until either the day of or the day before, thats not an option

Oh as an FYI- I was at the disney store for lunch, they have the light up princess spinning things that are popular at fantasmic

Yes, I bought two of them, I will not deprive my cousins of the greatest party at Disney also known as fantasmic! ;)

Hey!!! Are you going to have an open house for the one you have listed down the street from me? Let me know. I want to be one of those annoying neighbors who just walk in! :rolleyes1

Yes - this Sunday from 1-3... stop by for a visit......

I'll come on down. What a DIS meet! :cool1: I'll have to compare it to our home. I'm thinking ours is better ....

WTG but it is for your dates?

Yes, but it states for Disney Deluxe Resorts (and other resort room types available, including Disney Deluxe Villa Resorts, at varying rates)

has anyone ever gotten a pin code? do you think I can book a value or mod at 40% off?

Doubt you'll get 40% off a value but I'm sure you'll get something. Darn you! I'd take 40% off deluxe ... no pin codes here. :sad1:

Hope it works out for you! Always great to save some money! :thumbsup2

However, I'll bet it doesn't beat Bob's "employee rate" at the Dolphin...(rubbing it in a little....:rotfl2: )

I've stayed there twice when it was still Dixie Landings

I jumped in the hoppin' at the pop fridge swap2, the other one already had my date reserved. were did you get the $7.56 number from? we are only staying 5 nights, so it would be $50 for us

How was the ASmovies? we decided on Pop over AS mostly due to not having to share the busses, did you find much of a difference (if any)?

The swap that we did was $7.56 per swapper so that's where that number came from. We stayed 9 nights so if we would have gotten one from Disney it would have been $90. It was stored in the luggage area. When I went to pick it up I also borrowed one of those "flatbed" luggage cart/hand truck things. Pop has elevators so that's how I got it up to the room.

We stayed at ASMo in 2001 so that was before Pop. I don't remember the busses being that bad. I am little worried about the busses when we stay at ASSp (on ESPN the Weekend) & ASMo (at Christmas) but DH wants to stay somewhere other than Pop since we stayed there the last 2 times. We love it but I think he secretly has a desire to stay at all of the resorts on property...at least I hope he does!!!:rotfl:

My favourite character meal is Crystal Palace.

Another DISer who went to Akershus gave these as the princesses: Belle, Jasmine, Ariel, and Jane (from Tarzan). Who knew Jane was a princess?

I guess Jane was crowned a princess at the same time Mary Poppins became one...Mary Poppins being at CRT really bothers me...can you tell?

Thanks! The younger one is Scilla's godchild, and since they are the young ones in the family, we include them both when we do stuff

How fun!! Both of my girls loved CP, even Amanda and she is 11!

I got one earlier...I tried to use it for our trip in Feb but the special that came out was much better than the pin that I got. Let us know if you are able to use it on your trip & what kind of rate you get.
