Glad to hear Elise is ok now. That is scary.
We had a "scare" today, too. Dana is taking a week long horseback riding camp 8:30 am to 3:30 pm...
Pulled up in front of the stables this afternoon to pick her up, and watched as an ambulance was pulling away, four police cars parked, and people all milling around. I get out of the car, and there is no Dana.
Turns out, her group was on a trail ride in the woods, and they stumbled upon a SWARM OF BEES. Dana had the where-with-all to dismount immediately, although she ended up with multiple bee stings. One of the girls ended up in a pond, because, of course, the horses were frightened.
The ambulance was heading over to the beginning of the trail, so I drove over and found Dana with the group - the EMTs and the police were checking them out and asked if we wanted to go to the hospital, but I called my pediatrician and they said it wasn't necessary - to call them tonight if she was uncomfortable.
Thankfully, she isn't allergic and everything turned out ok! phew!
