That sounds fun!! I'm sure you will all have a great time!

So when are you going on your next trip?...I see you will be staying at the Contemporary next time. I'm jealous...it will probably be 3/09 before we can get back :sad1:

We're going June 13th through the 22nd. Two months from the day I turn 21. :cool1:

Rags till Scilla congrats. I've heard about all the wonderful stories of the test.

Hope you get the land Rags, congrats to Scilla for making RN. Stinks that she had to take all 265 questions though.

Congratulations to Scilla, RN! :woohoo:
Good luck with the house/land situation... I think that is one of the most stressful things - buying/selling/building... even putting in our POOL was stressful. Told Bob he's carrying me out of this house - I'm not moving again! :rotfl:

Where in NY will you be? Anywhere close enough to stalk us, too?? ;)

WTG Scilla and hoping the best for the both of you on your land deal!

Yes, Joyce is too far from me. But you can just take a little drive...You just need to just get on the NYS Thruway west, get off at exit 38. I'm just over a mile away from there! Come the last week in August and we can go to the Great New York State Fair. That's very close to me too!

CONGRATS Rags!

Thank you everyone- although it doesn't look like we are going to buy the lot, after we got the septic plans, it looks like the lot needs too much work to make it worthwhile to buy.

I was actually in Yorktown Heights over the weekend- so I wias still a good 1 1/2 hours from DM;)

We bought my mom's birthday gift this morning, tickets to go with me and my sister to see Rascal Flatts. I'm on the floor and they are up higher.

We also booked our next trip.

nice b-day gift- and I am jealous you already booked your next trip :guilty:

Sorry to hear things didn't work out, Rags.:sad1:
My brother had major problems with his septic system when he went to sell his first house last year - and the darn place was only 3 years old!:sad2:
I'm thankful for "city water - city sewer" where we live. It's frustrating to deal with septic and/or well issues. Good luck in your search - I'm sure you'll find the perfect spot. ;)

Hi everyone! I've fallen WAY behind on the DIS this summer - sorry:guilty:
The house building is going well and the kids have been great with moving about every week or so. We just got back from a 4 night stay on the Island (that's Long Island DM;) I'm a bit sunburned but had a fantastic time alone with the kids. DH had to stay home to work on the house:sad2: I had a bit of a scare with Elise last week. She had a fever & sore throat for a day so I took her in. It turns out she had pneumonia! It was awful for a couple of days  and we had to stay in a hotel alone together but she's fine now.

What's this about Rags stalking me? I only read the previous page. Yorktown is 10 minutes away:cool1:

That's OK- we're not planning on building for at least 3 years, so it's not like we are in a rush to buy now. Although Scilla was a little upset because it was like 3 minute drive to her parents house

FYI- JJ, I went to visit my college roomate who now lives in Yorktown heights and I know you live in Westchester county which I know is close

Oh you meant LONG Island. I was thinking the island of San Tropez ;) . Well, it could have been Grand Island but that's way the heck on the other side of NY and not too much fun there...:sad2:

Glad to hear Elise is ok now. That is scary.

We had a "scare" today, too. Dana is taking a week long horseback riding camp 8:30 am to 3:30 pm...
Pulled up in front of the stables this afternoon to pick her up, and watched as an ambulance was pulling away, four police cars parked, and people all milling around. I get out of the car, and there is no Dana.

Turns out, her group was on a trail ride in the woods, and they stumbled upon a SWARM OF BEES. Dana had the where-with-all to dismount immediately, although she ended up with multiple bee stings. One of the girls ended up in a pond, because, of course, the horses were frightened.

The ambulance was heading over to the beginning of the trail, so I drove over and found Dana with the group - the EMTs and the police were checking them out and asked if we wanted to go to the hospital, but I called my pediatrician and they said it wasn't necessary - to call them tonight if she was uncomfortable.

Thankfully, she isn't allergic and everything turned out ok! phew!:scared:

Renee - I'm so glad that Dana is OK. I know your heart stopped when you drove up and saw the ambulance and no Dana. I'm glad that she isn't allergic to the stings that she got!!

Here is a picture of Alyssa on her 1st day of 4 year old Kindergarten today. She was so excited!!

Dress is fabulous! Great job!!! :)

Ok, so I just came across this thread and yall sound like some fun ladies!!! I thought it was just a general stalking thread, but alas I realized that you guys went in May. I still skimmed around the past 10 pages or so and :rotfl2: , so I hope I can join in here too, even though I'm fashionably late for the party!!!!

Thanks Mandy!! HEY I just noticed Josh Kelly in your pic...I went to high school w/him. He and his brother Charles are AWESOME, I love their music. It's so awesome to see people outside of this area who love him too.

Are you serious? I love his music and Charles. I'm actually heading up to see Charles and his band at the end of this month.

Awesome, have fun!!! I want to see him w/his new band, I'm don't know much about Hilary Scott but David Heywood went to my high school too, him and Charles were a year ahead of me. I saw Josh and Charles last year here, when Charles was just doing his thing solo but David was w/him and they were awesome together! Their cds are awesome but hearing them live is just amazing! I'm sure the band is great! I can't wait to hear about it after you go!

If I can remember the page I posted it on, I have a review up from the April show. I've been following Lady A since before they got signed and I know Dave said in a video or interview their single was due out in September or October.

Here it is: http://disboards.com/showpost.php?p=18274482&postcount=1895

Congrats on your upcoming wedding by the way.

Welcome, Hillary! We actually all were in Disney in JUNE, not May. ;) And we ARE "fun ladies", except for Rags... who is our token "fun guy"! :lmao:

Long Island is about all I can afford to do right now...Luckily I had a bunch of Hilton points and lucked out on a 1 bedroom suite for free. :cool1:

Too cute. I have absolutely no creative talent.

Of course you can join. Welcome to the group!party:

:scared:
I just noticed my countdown. When did it get below 300 days!!! I better corner DH and figure out exactly where we want to stay. I think the 7 month switch with DVC is coming up. Has anyone stayed at OKW? I think I want to try it out.
