;) Ok...for those with young ones.. Do they nap in the stroller? So funny these Dis people on the community board. They will debate anything.

I don't think there is any chance my son would nap in a stroller but maybe. He'll sleep in the car if he hasn't napped all day at its like 9pm or so or he'll take his "nap" if its hours passed his "usual rest time" (he doesn't nap anymore, ya know, just "rests with my eyes closed"). My daughter will nap in the carseat and I suspect in the stroller (we don't own one so I'm guessing here).

We did do our Mothers day dinner last night, figured the restaurants would be less crowded. We went to this place called "Sumo's", its a Japenese steakhouse type place. Really I dont know why they call it that. Its where they make the food right in front of you. I always get the Chicken and Shrimp and split it with my son, they give you tons of food. My 2 girls get a bowl of Steamed rice, pretty fancy;) . but thats all they will eat there...

Sounds wonderful!

Oh back to the track meet... I am such a sap. My daughter only ran one race the 100 meter thing. She is still new to the track club, and doesnt have the experience of the other girls who are REALLY fast. I always thought my 7 yr old was fast until we joined this club. She ran with 4 other girls and came in last,:sad1: ... she didnt care, she was having a blast. I had tears in my eyes during her race. I wasnt sappy because she lost, because she was in her first official race, and she was doing her best. I was so proud of her.
We do have a 15 second video of her on the cell phone, that my husband down loaded. But geez, I cant figure out how to get pictures on here, let alone a video.

Anyways...
HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!!!!

How cute! So great that she has joined! And awesome she had so much fun! Yeah!

Spent most of the day at Carousel Center - had to hit up the Disney Store. They were giving out $10 gift cards if you filled out an application for the Disney Visa, so DH and I both did. He bought a huge stuffed Minnie for Antonia (our DD) with his $10 and I got myself a beautiful Jack Sparrow t-shirt - I'll be staring at myself all day whenever I wear it! :) Then we went to TJ Maxx for a bit, and out to Red Lobster to celebrate Mother's Day. Lobster = .

We like Red Lobster here as well. Sounds like you had a wonderful day!

Happy Mother's Day all you MOMS!!!! Before I've even told my mother it, I'm tell yall!!!! Not sure when I can get on tomorrow, but I hope yall have a WONDERFUL day!!!! I'll try to post pics of the house tomorrow!!!!

Goodnight!

Courtney, you are such a sweetie!

I will have to do this later. Although my dh had wonderful intentions of bringing me breakfast in bed, I'm already up and att'em and they are all still sleeping.

Happy Mother's Day to all you Mamas!!

Happy Mother's day to all of you moms out there.:flower3:
I get the great honor of cleaning the house so my mom and Oblivia can come over here for a cookout. At least I made the menu easy to do. Steak and baked potato and salad. So no big deal on the cooking part. Salad in a bag, throw the potatoes in the oven and have dh cook the steaks on his new grill. It's all good.:thumbsup2

This was great!!

Sunlver - Yes, my DD would sleep in a stroller if she was tired enough. She will be turning 4 while we are there and I have a Maclaren stroller that I bought back in the fall. It is so hard to get her to ride in it now but hopefully she won't put up too much of a fuss riding in it at Disney. That is great that your DD ran in her 1st race yesterday. If my DD was running I'd be right there tearing up with you no matter what her place was :goodvibes . My oldest sang with her school choir at a PTO meeting last week and of course I teared up then too!

Since I am a charter member and acting President of the "I Can't Make Up My Mind Club," I need to make a change to my information. We're now staying at the Yacht Club instead of the Wilderness Lodge. Please don't ask why I changed resorts, because I don't have an answer!

I was too tired to post last night but yesterday was my youngest DD's dance recital!! She was so excited about it!! We went to rehearsal at 11:30 yesterday moring...checkbook in hand of course, we bought her a recital t-shirt ($12), the DVD ($33) and the DVD of last year's show ($25) DH didn't hit the record button on our camera last year!! After rehearsal we went to Kohl's to get my mom a Mother's day present. Then to Wal-Mart to get her flowers for after the recital. Then to pick up lunch, home to eat, rest and then back to the recital.

The recital only lasted about an hour. Her teacher has a good size studio but she goes to DD's Christian school to teach there 1 day a week. So when it comes to recital time she has our school recital separate from the big studio one. It makes it very nice...her studio has 2 recitals (1 for the little kids & 1 for the older kids) and they both last close to 3 hours each.

DD cracked us all up!! Their song this year was Cinderella's Wedding Ball (yes, her teacher loves Disney too). The little girls were supposed to dance & sing along with the music. Well, for the first 30-45 seconds DD just stood there with her hands on her hips singing at the top of her lungs & didn't dance one step. She finally started dancing...it was hilarious!! She did a kiss and a big bow at the end!! She was so cute! Then at the end of the recital each little girl gets to walk across the stage by themselves to get their trophy...she walked all the way across the stage on her tip-toes like she was supposed to!!

After the recital last night my mom called to tell me that she noticed on the program that this is the 50th year for the dance studio and she didn't want me to feel too old but that I danced in the 14th year recital...thanks mom!!

Well, I have to go wake everyone up to get ready for church..I hope all you other moms have a wonderful Mother's Day!!

I hope you all have a Happy Mother's Day. I actually am going to church today. I haven't been in years. I guess the kids and I will go out to eat after church.
Sunlver - I am just curious... What was the big debate about? My twins (who will be four when we are at Disney) will sleep in the stroller and car seat. Every morning I take my boys to school at 7:30 and the twins are asleep. I change their pull-ups, I put jackets on them, put them in the car seats, and drive to the school and they never wake up. When I come home by 8:30 they are still asleep and I put them back in bed. The often fall asleep in the car and I can put them in their stroller and they don't wake up. They sometimes fall asleep in the car on the way to a restaurant, and I will carry them in asleep and they will sleep through the whole meal. Last year they fell asleep in the rented Disney strollers. I am sure they will this year too.

Hi everyone. Just got thru with dinner(homemade pizza) now haveing a glass of wine to relax. As you know I called DM earlier so she could hear my southern accent and I could hear her "yankee" accent.:rotfl: Yes she has one.;) I love my DIS friends from all over.
Uhm...once again, I most certainly do NOT have an accent! :lmao:

Spent most of the day at Carousel Center - had to hit up the Disney Store.
I love the Carousel Center. I go there once a week and of course stop into the Disney Store.

Thank you for that. It was cute!

I've seen Borat, I went DH and a couple of friends. I didnt think I would enjoy it BUT it is the funniest thing I have ever seen. I have never laughed so hard in all my life :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
I don't get to the movies very often (ok, more like never) but my mom took me to see Borat when it was in the theaters. I never laughed so hard in my life! That kind of humor is right up my alley. For a while I thought I was going to have to leave the theater because I was laughing so hard I couldn't breathe!!
We watched it last night. All I can say is OMG!!! Rob & I were in tears laughing, especially 1 particular scene. I'm sure you can guess which scene I am talking about. There is no describing it!!! :lmao:

I'll change it later today. It's off to the store to get ready for our cookout now! BTW - you changed for the better IMO! :thumbsup2

karibritt01, thanks for the card! I passed it on to my MIL! She'll love it!

LizAgna, yay on your daughter's recital! How cool!

tnmomof4, I wish my kids would do that! That would be awesome! Once the car stops, my kids perk right up most of the time. Or they scream bloody murder because I woke them. Either way, their awake!

We skipped church this morning since we went shopping at Meijer's for their grand opening and bought way too much food. Then Mick ran through the house, dressed and left for church (he teaches the 7/8 graders). The kids and I decided to stay home and the kids may cards for my sisters and my mother. Still have to get them to do a card for my dad since its his birthday but I was getting inpatient with them. Now they have marker all over them.

Ah yes. And my kitchen sink faucet is broken so I called my bil and hopefully he'll come over and see if he can fix it. Its probably broken. It would be my luck of course. Dirty dishes everywhere. *sigh*

To answer the question about my kids sleeping in strollers. Yes, they have done it and I am sure Brooke probably will do it too. However, we will try to still take a break back at the room. The boys will not nap (being 6 & 7) and Brooke is starting to lose her nap but has been known to "konk out" whenever she is tired. This is a hard stage to go through. Look at my pre-trippie (shamless plug yet again :thumbsup2 ) and you'll see pictures of my kids asleep in strollers or at restaurants all the time!

I loved the ecard - too! Very funny...
I know what you mean about "tearing up"... emotional time around here with Dana graduating and all... Today was her last day to sing in the Children's Choir at church - she's the only one that belonged from Kindergarten all the way through to 8th grade - Msgr. gave her a special plaque and a made a lovely presentation at the end of mass.

I'm not sure how many times we need to repeat this, DawnMaree.. is NO ONE PAYING ATTENTION?!?!?! WE most certainly DO NOT have an accent!!! :snooty: ::stomping foot:: :lmao:

Nap?? What's a nap? Can someone fill me in?! :lmao: Dana NEVER took a nap. I am convinced she was afraid she was going to MISS SOMETHING!!! Luckily, she did sleep through the night at a very young age, but when she was AWAKE - she was AWAKE!!!! :cool1:

Congrats to Dana! My best friend and I were the only one's in our Children's Choir who stayed until the eighth grade! Good for her for sticking it out! So glad someone remembered the plaque! And congrats to you Renee for raising such a beautiful day!

SM- Yay for Dana!! I know you and your DH are very proud of her. She looks so pretty in the picture!!

I just got my Mother's Day presents...my mom bought 2 shirts for my DDs to give me and my DH & DDs got me a peridot ring...for any of you not familiar with it that is a LIME GREEN stone!! It is sooo pretty!! It is an emerald cut stone with 3 tiny diamonds on each side. I'll have to wear something green to lunch today!! DH knows that I like different colored stones so I can match them to my outfits...he's a good jewelry buyer!!

I don't think my Dis obsession has gone too far do you?? :rotfl:

Sounds lovely! Wear it in good health!:)

Are you an August baby? That's Dana & my birthstone, peridot....

Bob had a ring made for me for my 40th birthday - I wasn't even thinking LIME GREEN... now I guess I must bring it to Disney! :goodvibes
mine is a band with peridot baugettes and tiny diamonds in a line across along the top and bottom of the baugettes.. personally, it makes me a little crazy because it tends to "catch" on things.. but I can't complain too loudly, because Bob designed it. LOL :rolleyes1

LizA--- So cute about your DD's dance recital!!!! I can't wait for ours-- -June 16th- the little ones are the funnest to watch b/c you never know what they are going to do! Yall are able to film the show? We don't allow it- we get them professionally filmed so we don't allow cameras or video equipment in the theatre... Most places are like that around here- you can film the rehearsal, but not the actual recital.

SM- Dana is the cutest little thing! She can't take a bad picture can she??? She's all smiles and so happy! I can't wait to meet her!!!! And you and your DH of course!

Alright my friends--- Here's "my" new house (well, praying it will be as of June 6 on closing)

Hope you like it! We LOVE it.... Pictures only show so much!

I love it Court! I hope you guys get it.

Okay so I recommend if ya guys need a good family movie watch Miracle Dogs. You'll bawl but it's a good movie.

Thanks Mandy!

The problem with us and movies is I always fall asleep =)

And we never go see them in a theater b/c if we choose to go somewhere, it's always out to eat, and not to a movie. Then if we rent the movie, I get so comfy on the couch that I really do fall asleep! It used to make Ryan so mad when we were dating, so we never really watch them! I love a good movie though--- I really do.

I never asked - did you live anywhere near the area of Katrina?

I wish you much luck! Keep us posted on the closing date! How exciting!!!:cool1:

PS: Dana can't wait to meet you, too!! :goodvibes
