Hey Fleagle!

Here's one more chuckle for you - I added the siggie to my CATalog!

As someone unencumbered with being in charge of any one CATegory, I hope to be a CATalyst in finding nominees for as many CATegories as possible!

I am a little CATatonic this afternoon, but I will CATagorically be CATapulting a number of PMs tonight.

What is with today? Almost everyone I have seen is moping around and sighing... Snap out of it!

I wouldn't even worry about what the person posted on "that blog" about "Jack Frost." Those are just words. You don't have to defend yourself. Disney/Careerbuilders picked you to be in the Top 20 and THEIR decision is final. You didn't see me jumping on that site to defend myself when the same person said I should be disqualified. Heck, they've been saying that since I made it through... even people right here... grrrrrrr... JUST WORDS... and opinions...

In my phone interview they told me they didn't consider that music. They were more concerned with people putting full soundtracks up and under for the length of their videos. Disney knows exactly what they are looking for and trust me they wouldn't have put you through if they had a problem with Jack Frost.

It was a lot of fun coming up with a quick story and Fairy Godmother character and building a set inside our living room and finding a wig and making a costume, and scouting a location at Disneyland and finally shooting the video with my daughter turning into Cinderella and my husband holding the camera! You might say it was quality family time. This was the first time I had ever used Adobe Photo Shop to animate anything. The little mouse Jaq turned out great! I am anxiously counting the days to March 2nd when the top 10 finalists will be announced. It would be exta-special to be counted in that number! Congratulations to all the top 20 finalists, and to all who had the gumption to put up a video for the CMO position! It’s a truly wacky and wonderful community, and I am proud to be a part of it!

Yeah, I guess I'm happy to be unscathed at the moment . . . most of all though, I just wish everyone could relax and celebrate the positive aspects and the joy of all these videos. Life, after all, isn't a competition . . .

Also, not that I'm playing to the crowd here, but do any of us really believe that we know what Disney wants more than Disney does? (sorry, insert SPONSOR there if necessary! ) I've trusted their judgement on everything from movies to books to theme parks to the lunch box I had as a kid and they haven't steered me wrong yet.

SO, smile, relax, and celebrate the fact that we are lucky enough, wealthy enough, and free enough to be somewhere in America right now on a computer debating the merits of these videos. It really should be fun!
