PS- we haven't forgotten you Justin![]()
I'm not even in this thing, and I just can't hardly stand it! I want to know now!![]()
So - I had this idea that really made me laugh, but I was afraid people would potentially be offended, so I didn't share it. I just had some feedback that changed my mind, so here it is.
I was going to make a second video in honor of the disappointment of the 1280 people who didn't make it into the top twenty. It was going to be called "Chief Disappointment Official" and would show an applicant in their mouse ears at their desk on February 6th and 7th staring at their Mickey phone and checking their email while the hands on the clock on the wall went around around and around. The next scene would be a rainy day yard sale with the applicant selling all their Disney stuff ("Everything Must Go! Prices Slashed! Make an Offer!). Then, the last scene would be a take-off on the career builder commercial where the building is smashed after the job holder realizes they have a terrible job and runs away. The logo in the bottom corner would read "Dreambusters.com" and the building that gets smashed would be the castle. Too graphic for those of us who love Disney completely, but anyway the idea really did make me laugh so I'm sharing it with you.
Tell me about it! The wait is BRUTAL!
My inner monologue goes like this all day long:
If I make the Top 10... I could do this, and this, and this... Hey.. shut up! Don't get ahead of yourself! But this is a really good idea. No.. shut up, you'll jinx it. But.. Shhhh... But... ZIP IT... But this is a really good idea... Oh.. that is a good idea! Wait... ZIP IT!!!
And the clock is ticking in my head like I'm Captain Freaking Hook.
OT -- anyone else excited to watch Knight Rider tonight?
I know, I know, but you have to remember that '82-86 was some of my formulative years -- and yes I had a crush on the "Hoff" (of course we didn't call him that years ago)
I think my 80s favorite tv watching was Knight Rider, The A-Team and Dukes of Hazzard. Now there's some find acting for ya!![]()

Just remember, thoughts become things...so DO think of all you can now, and see yourself doing it with your family there---power ranger poses, funky salmon dancing, party in the car and all! And yes, even your first magical decrees as CMO!
My dad hit a mid-life crisis right around the time the first Knight Rider was big... so my first car was a black firebird... looked just like Kitt. I wasn't sure if it was cool or if I should be embarrassed... but I loved the show.
Hey Marshay, only a few minutes to Knight Rider!
(of course, when I come on here and read about other people getting the call I guess it will really sink that theory!![]()
Regardless, it's pretty much out of our hands now. They (Disney, careerbuilder, etc.) have wonderful candidates to choose from and now we just get to enjoy watching it all unfold. (yes, that was a pep talk for myself - I'll let you know if it worked!)![]()
Justin, and all you guys--don't you dare start to give in now--REMEMBER WHO YOU ARE!!! Pull out what Disney saw in you and run with it! From over 1300 people, they chose you! So dang it, make us proud!![]()
I will do all I can to make you all proud!
Caldisney--love the Dopey one!
