Once I selected someone to vote for and hit submit, it showed me the results. I think you can only vote once, though (not that I tried!)

Ahhh! Well, that explains it! I haven't yet registered a vote. And, don't worry folks!, I will be furiously voting when it really counts.

The show, from a costume, puppetry, technology perspective is one of those landmark achievements in musical theater. Honestly. It won several Tony awards for Julie Taymor (who directed and designed the costumes and puppets) because of the incredibly imaginitive way it blends live actors and costumes to create a truly magical effect. Pretty Disney if you ask me!

You know, Justin, if this CMO thing doesn't pan out (or even if it does!), you could always consider writing marketing materials for Disney! Maybe we should bury your praises so that other folks don't see them. I don't want to have to compete for my Lion King ticket...

Hi Everybody!!! Oh man I’m SO EXCITED that I found this place! I have to say that I was a little scared to post something at first because:

a) I’ve never posted ANYTHING in my life
b) I just joined like a second ago & still figuring things out
c) I was always just kind of nervous about message boards

But I saw on some of the posts that lists were being put up and people wanted to know who the Top 20 were and then I felt a little better about doing this.

I did get a call on February 6th and I knew something like this site had to exist! It just took me FOREVER to find it! So I just wanted to say “hi” and introduce myself.

Speaking of Brady's poll: I'm a tad confused. I think I must not be seeing the same thing on my computer screen as everyone else, because it wasn't immediately clear to me who was in the lead.

So here's a question for you Top 20'ers:
Did they tell you that you'll find out if you make it to the Top 10 when everyone else does? Or will you have to sign another round of finalist eligibility papers when you make it to the Top 10, giving you advance notice of the official announcement?

Last year, the 2007 finalists had to sign eligibility papers before the voting began and then another round of eligibility papers when they became winners, and thus we knew who won before they announced it to the public. I wonder if each step will require new papers again this year, giving us more early announcements...?

The rules state: 'All "Top 10" Finalists will be required to sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, Liability and Publicity Release.'

So it sounds like there will be a new round of paperwork soon. The official phone interview period ends tomorrow, leaving them probably another week to determine who the Top 10 are, and then the following week to get the extra paperwork done before the March 2nd Top 10 voting period begins.

So... we're likely to know who the Top 10 are by the end of this month. I think.

All indications were that they wanted to make their decision as quickly as possible so that we would all have time to do some leg-work before the big reveal on March 2nd.

Partly because I'm concerned about my own blood pressure - I hope they make the calls next week!

Hey, CalDisneyFamily: So, what was your son's surprise this afternoon? ... No overnight stay in the Dream Suite, I take it.

Thankfully, no...

So, it went down like this: They were leaving the Aladdin show in California Adventure and a "dream" guy (John) walked up to DS and girlfriend and asked how they liked the show. DS has seen this show 40+ times and gave an honest opinion "well, the Genie was a little flat today, (maybe it was the audience) usually, he has the crowd laughing to tears" so the guy says "sorry to hear that, how would you like it if I was your genie?" I'm going to grant you 3 wishes..." For the first wish, I'm going to put you at the first of the line at Grizzly rapids.... then he said he would wait for them at the exit. (The kids invited him on the ride, but he couldn't "get wet" on the job.)

On the walk over to Grizzly...John (the Dream guy) was doing impressions of the Genie at the show...if you have seen this show, you will remember ... "Just like Dr. Phil, I can't make someone fall in looove with ya" and...of course, "if you last name was PEPPERSHAKERS, you'd be...."

Next, he asked them which other ride they would like have a magical pass and they picked "Soarin' over California", this time John joined them on the ride. He told them to look at the golf ball closely as it comes toward you, there is a hidden Mickey on it. I always duck, so I've never seen it!
Next, John walked them over to Disneyland and he took them to the Haunted Mansion... showed them the "Pet Cemetary" (not available to guests), and the CM entrance, they met a few CMs and them he took them the back way in -the line was 90 mins and they were escorted right into the "no windows and no doors" area...nice! When the ride ended, he told them that this was a freebie, they get another wish, so he took them over to the Mark Twain and let them drive it!!!! What a great day!!!

They were still so pumped up about their magical day, that when I finally arrived at around 9pm --we skipped around the park and shut the place down at 1 am.... whoo hoo!!

So, now we know 6 men and 5 women... right? That's a little better for the sake of equality. (If cut out guy is in... which I am assuming he is) It is 7 and 5. But still... better than the 5 to 1 we had for a while!
