I'd certainly
like to go. (I, like you, have only been to a handful of events at The Kennedy Center, and I
have always wanted to see
The Lion King...)
Justin or Cat (our resident Lion King resources): Do you think it's a bit too scary for a five-year-old? (We have yet to allow our DD to watch the movie. Of course, she'll be closer to six by then.) Our DS2 would
have to stay with a sitter or friends.
I was sort of hoping that the musical glosses over some of the scarier parts of the storyline -- and maybe focuses more on the music, regal costumes, and such... Of course, a date night (sans kids) would be nice, too!
I hear you, Marshay, (about the high price of living around these parts -- babysitters included)! It certainly makes a person think twice!

Have you considered a matinee? (It may feel less "date-like," but it also could be cheaper ... I hope.
