You didn't dream it. But how fun would that be if you and DISgeeksfromDC had the same dream about the CMO position! Here's the site:

Now, I've got to go watch my recording of LOST. I wish I had a Tivo. I still use the old fashioned VCR. Do you remember when that was cutting edge technology?

Yeah, I'm quoting myself. When I wrote the post about dreaming I started thinking, "Why haven't I had any dreams about this contest?" Well, last night I did:

My DW and I were going to the movies, shelling out $10 a piece for tix. The feature- all the entries to the CMO contest. So that's around 1300 videos at 60 seconds a piece, it was going to be a movie lasting about 21 hours. The theatre was quite crowded (Of course, a lot of poeple like watching the videos) and then things switched to a smaller venue- an old classroom with a screen set up in front and only a handful of videos were being played. (I'm almost done, bear with me.) A friend of mine was showing his entry video. It went on for 3 minutes, it wasn't Disney oriented, sort of artsy, people seemed to really enjoy it. After his video some people started to leave. There were still three more videos to play before mine. And after each video a few others left. Then I awoke to some crying, my DD 10weeks, is still trying to sleep through the night; she's getting close :) .

That's all I got. So, if anybody wants to try out their psychoanalytical dream interpretation skills, go for it!

Does anyone know how many CMs Walt Disney World Resort (Florida) actually employs? :confused3

When we did the Backstage Magic tour a couple of years ago, we were told WDW alone has 59,000 employees. I heard on the news down here a few weeks ago, that the number has increased to 61,000. So, either way, it's A LOT of people!

:rotfl2: Okay, you've made enough references to your dancing "skills" -- or lack thereof ;) -- that I'm beginning to think that maybe Disney should consider a "Dance-Off" as part of its reality-show-type contests for the Final Three. Now that would be entertaining! popcorn::

Two things are at work here regarding my lack of dance skills (or even skillz, cause I likes the funky)...

1. my wife was a professional dancer when I met her and has now owned her own studio for 17 years... so I'll never be the best dancer in the family. Add to this that my kids have all taken dance... so now I'm the 6th best dancer out of six.

2. If I'm gonna dance... I BRING it!!! So, lets just say that my enthusiasm can be mistaken for um... spasms. It's my own genre. I'm breaking new ground here people! I can't help it if I'm ahead of my time. In 20 years, everybody will be doing the "Funky Salmon" (which is the best description of my #1 move.)

 So, how does the "Funky Salmon" compare to Elaine's dancing skillz on Seinfield?

Oh, and it probably is a good thing that you reserve these "special talents" for private venues (like empty Monorail cars) -- at least when your teen-aged kids are around. (I've heard that teens -- and 'tweens -- can be very funny about such things... Something I'm not really looking forward to, actually! )

:rotfl: Hmmmm! Methinks you need to get more sleep! Wait... ummm ... if sleep brings fitful dreams, then ... Sounds like you may have a bit of a conundrum! ;)

Oh, and if that feature-length CMO-video-submissions movie ever comes out on video, I'll buy it!

Fleagle...is it something like this:

The enthusiasm level is about right... but the distinction is that I KNOW I'm bad.

-We’ve had consistently good interactions with Mulan in China. During our last visit, she produced a little slip of paper, which she “autographed” (“Tag, You’re it! Mulan & Mushu”) and explained was part of an ongoing game of “tag” with the other Princess. They sometimes send little “hellos” to each other via visitors, who are working the Princess circuit along the World Showcase. Too cool! I’d never seen this before!

Oh, I didn't know they did this either! How funny and what a great way to get the kids to help spread the magic while they see the princesses!:goodvibes

Yes it is.

Brady emailed me some questions earlier today and then followed up with a phone call. He was a fun guy to talk to and I"m sure he'll be writing an article and/or a blog for that site over the next several days. From what I can tell, his stuff is definitely worth checking out!

Very nice! More to read about the CMO "crew"! :thumbsup2 (Now, wouldn't it be super-terrific if he actually managed to track down those "mystery semi-finalists" that we've been seeking. I'm guessing he didn't, though, since I'm getting the "vibe" that the DISboards may have been his primary source of info... It's fun to consider, though!)

Two things that Brady mentioned:

1. He has the full list of Top 20 and is calling all of them.

2. He's going to post all of the videos including his opinions. So the big news there is that we'll be able to see all 20 videos.
