Oh dear. I did mean butt-groove. I hope it's ok to say butt here since it is a family-friendly forum. I blame anything I say on the cold medicines.

I figured you meant butt groove... but butt grove sounded really funny!

I just want to emphasize again - to you and Marshay - that this is the best enjoyment for your buck outside of a Disney park. And yes, with all your considerations of extra costs, I think you will be so happy you went!

In order to see it, I went to Houston, paid for a hotel, meals, etc plus cost of balcony tickets. I was blown away! It was there for another month, so I went back AGAIN, and this time got 10th row on the floor, on the aisle seats. It seems impossible, but I enjoyed it even more!

So, please find a way to go - even if you go matinee, no meals and drinks. You will never regret it! :)

Funny thing is, I talked to DH about it and he didn't even flicker at the price of $90 tickets! He said, didn't we pay $80 for Cirque du Sulei when they were in DC?

Ok, I'm checking them out tonight...will skip the dinner and drinks and just do the show!

THANKS for all the encouragement! I had already thrown out the brochure but pulled it out of the trash and will try to get tix next week!

I'm joining you in the butt-grove (or groove!)...taking my Theraflu and chilling out today.

(I was actually trying to figure out what butt-grove meant...:rotfl2: )

It's official - I'm all pumped up to see Lion King again. I've never been to DC before...maybe it's time I planned a trip! :yay:

Wow -- you've never been to DC before??? I thought visiting DC was a prerequisite for all school-children and/or parents planning an "educational" trip!

Thankfully, no...:scared:

So, it went down like this: They were leaving the Aladdin show in California Adventure and a "dream" guy (John) walked up to DS and girlfriend and asked how they liked the show. DS has seen this show 40+ times and gave an honest opinion "well, the Genie was a little flat today, (maybe it was the audience) usually, he has the crowd laughing to tears" so the guy says "sorry to hear that, how would you like it if I was your genie?" I'm going to grant you 3 wishes..." For the first wish, I'm going to put you at the first of the line at Grizzly rapids.... then he said he would wait for them at the exit. (The kids invited him on the ride, but he couldn't "get wet" on the job.)

On the walk over to Grizzly...John (the Dream guy) was doing impressions of the Genie at the show...if you have seen this show, you will remember ... "Just like Dr. Phil, I can't make someone fall in looove with ya" and...of course, "if you last name was PEPPERSHAKERS, you'd be...."

Next, he asked them which other ride they would like have a magical pass and they picked "Soarin' over California", this time John joined them on the ride. He told them to look at the golf ball closely as it comes toward you, there is a hidden Mickey on it. I always duck, so I've never seen it! :scared1:
Next, John walked them over to Disneyland and he took them to the Haunted Mansion... showed them the "Pet Cemetary" (not available to guests), and the CM entrance, they met a few CMs and them he took them the back way in -the line was 90 mins and they were escorted right into the "no windows and no doors" area...nice! When the ride ended, he told them that this was a freebie, they get another wish, so he took them over to the Mark Twain and let them drive it!!!! What a great day!!!

They were still so pumped up about their magical day, that when I finally arrived at around 9pm --we skipped around the park and shut the place down at 1 am.... whoo hoo!! :dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

Now that's cool! 'Kinda makes you wish you had been with them to partake in the wishes, too, huh? (Thanks for sharing, btw. :) ...If I can't be at Disney, I guess the next best thing is to live vicariously through others.)

Hey all, Patrick here...course I may need to change my name to "Cut-Out Guy"! I actually hadn't been over to this board before, but I was pointed over here. GOOD LORD, I can feel the love! I'd really just decided to keep things quiet for a while, but with the support I've been getting from folks that don't even KNOW me and really enjoyed my video I just had to come forward and say thankyou! I'm happy to answer questions about myself or the video if you've got any. I'm excited to see what happens next...this has been, to say the least...the chance of a lifetime.

A-HA!! I knew it! I knew it! "Cut-Out Guy" made the semi-finals!

Excellent video! :thumbsup2 Congratulations, Patrick, and welcome to the DISboards!

Since I don't have kids, I'm not sure about the age question. It is at least as "scary" as the movie when it comes to Mufasa's demise. But I'm with Justin about how wonderful the production is, so I'd defer to his opinion since he saw young kids there.

Thanks for the detailed reply. :thumbsup2 (Wow! I've just received two very favorable reviews.) ...'Guess I had better buy those tickets, huh? ;)

Hi Patrick! Glad to see you came "out" ----
I was going to post a very witty comment, mostly directed at myself, but then figuring that some people might not understand..... I bit my tongue instead.... and it still hurts.... and I think it was bleeding for a little bit. :rotfl:

I'm sure Thumper will be glad he's' not for dinner tonight! ;)

Patrick, I love love LOVED the hippo part! It was totally sweet.

P.S. kennythepirate!!! You don't even know how many times I've watched you on YouTube!

Hey, Kenny: You never did specify how you came across this one. (Care to share your trade secrets? :rolleyes1) And, based on Nicole's response to your inquiry (in the "Comments" section following her video), it seems that even she was a bit surprised you managed to track her down. Impressive!

'Any odds that Nicole will join our happy little gathering of semi-finalists and "groupies" on the DISboards? (I hope you extended the invitation, at least.) If my memory serves me correctly, she's the only known semi-finalist who has yet to check in on this thread. :confused3 Then, of course, there's still the Mystery of the Missing Eight!

Yeah! On the DISboards, you're affectionately known as "The Cut-Out Guy," but -- at my house -- my DD5 refers to your video as, "Hippo!!??!!" (We've watched it more times that I care to admit... :rolleyes1)

Wow . . . there's a lot less activity on here on a night when we're not vying for a mega millions jackpot! :) That's good for me because there are a few less pages of posts to catch up on!

Anyway - good morning and happy Sunday everyone! Hopefully I'll be able to be on later this afternoon to catch up with you all . . .

Here's another. Michael posted this on Ricky's forum...

Greetings friends!
I just recently came across ITM and joined so I can get to talk with everyone!

Ricky, thanks for a great site! I 've seen your butler video on Youtube... you were killer! What a great opportunity, indeed.

I feel honored to announce that I am also one of the Top 20 candidates for CMO. You are all talented with amazing Disney spirits and I'm excited to join in the fun!

This job has been on my mind ever since I heard about it, and in my heart since I was baby! It would truly be an honor and a joy to be Disney's CMO.
Karrie, I've had a hard time thinking about anything else too!
But whether I continue further or not, I've enjoyed the ride already and I plan to continue supporting everyone here. Congratulations everyone!

Does anyone know when the top 10 are to be announced?

Oh, and I'm sure you want this as well:

The real star in the video is Minnie… my cat! My wife and I usually call her Minnie Cat though.
Enjoy! More later!

Michael °o°

P.S. Since my wife calls me Beloved often and is always supportive of the things I do (even the silly things), I chose the name BelovedMichael for this forum because it makes me smile.

Congrats to Michael! Hopefully he'll find his way over to our forum as well!
