Hmmm - that happened because for the first time I got the 40 second rule! 'This forum requires that you wait 40 seconds between posts'

Who knew? :lmao:

Megan, I cut and pasted and it did work. I remember seeing your video right after it went up and totally loved it! Sorry you didn't make it, but look at it this way - you are in the majority!

Thanks Carolwoodpr! If Disney ever needs to hire a tapdancing, lightsaber weilding Mouseketeer, I'm their gal! Maybe the 2009 dream job promo... :yay:

I can't tapdance to save my life, but am great with a light saber and a pirate sword. I can even be a Princess when my sons female friends come over!

'Kind of reminds me of the first season of Survivor and the way that Richard Hatch sort of set the course for how future games were played -- with the forming of alliances and everything. (Ummmmm.... I did not just compare Kenny to Richard Hatch! :rolleyes1 What I'm trying to say -- I think -- is that his game-play has raised the bar for how future contestants will approach the game. ;) )

Similarites stop with the game play! I did make a critical alliance (that would become a lifetime friendship, we didn't know each other before the contest) early on with Tim Dunne and I think it benefitted each of us. I had other side alliances with people in other categories as well. The idea for the banners really came from one of the princesses and I just sorta supercharged the idea a bit.

I really liked Billy Bean's principal pirate video and he was getting down about his views and was ready to throw in the towel. I figured the "Disney way" is to help others, so I told him EVERYTHING I was doing and told him if I had to lose to someone, I'd prefer that it would be him. It was such a thrill for me to be on the roof filming the opening video and hearing him tell his school kids that dreams do come true!

Unfortunately with only 1 winner and 3 trip prizes, I don't forsee someone building inner alliances this time around. This contest doesn't provide for the deep friendships that I was able to build either. The shared experience of 24 dreamers all laughing and smiling was amazing. I was also impressed with the relationships that we built with our fellow cast members. I had the joy of treating some of them to dinner at the Blue Bayou during our reunion. Such great memories from my first trip to the "Land of DisNay!"

Wow, lots of Lost and Survivor fans on here . . . I guess I need to work less evenings or something - apparently I'm really missing out!

Just so I'm clear on the comparsion with Kenny here (and remember, I didn't watch the show) - - -isn't Richard Hatch the one who preferred to be, how should I say this, au natural? :)

That AIN'T happenin' on this pirate ship! pirate:

OMG the tap dancer is me and, no, I am not a finalist :confused3 but I am glad to hear you thought it had potential! Like others I am over my disappointment and anxious to see who the finalists are!

I am a "micechatter" most of the time but you all at DISboards have the best conversation about the CMO so this is where I've been keeping up with all the news. :thumbsup2

Welcome Princess Leia...may the force be with you. But always remember that Luke is your BROTHER! :happytv:

Amen. I couldn't have picked a better group to share the experience with.

I know there's a lot of second guessing regarding the judging... but based on last year's experience I guess they know what they are doing.

That's probably true... I'm not 100% polished up on last year's contest, but it seems like with 25 winners, there was more wiggle room. It sounds like if there had been just one winner, Kenny would have been it!

1300 down to 20 down to 10 down to 3 down to 1 is a bunch of layers. In my opinion (and not just because they are reading!) there are some very sharp marketers at work here. They are unleashing the force of 10 Kenny's on the world for a whole month.

Can you imagine the number of impressions that will be made on behalf of Disney Destinations and Careerbuilder.com. Brilliant! I know that if I'm lucky enough to advance, I will probably say the words Disney Destinations and Careerbuilder.com in that month as much as I say the word "the"

I read an article about careerbuilder.com placing virtual job sites on the Second Life game. Those guys are way ahead of the curve in building a brand.... and we all know Disney is the best!

This is a really fun contest. But the business behind it is very impressive.

See how smart they are? In my previous post alone, I said careerbuilder.com and Disney three times each.

And now this post makes a total of 4 impressions on probably 50 people in 1 minute. So 200 impressions... for free. Smart stuff!

See Kenny, we've all been telling you you should work for Disney!

Thanks for all the info Tripp, sounds like it went really well! :goodvibes

I've thought about it a lot. I used to think how much fun it would be to be a bellhop at the Tower of Terror. Now I think I'd like to be a presenter for Traditions/College Program/Disney Institute. I've always taken my greatest joy in seeing others succeed. Just a thought.

Oh I've got it!!!

There is an opening on careerbuilder's site for a person like this at the Disney Ranch...I'll try to find it! You'd be perfect!

The voting site received 2 million hits last year. I figure that most of that came directly from the contestants efforts.
