hmmm . . . removing your shirt at the DIScademy awards or chewing through a cable tie (which was really more like a glorified twist-tie)--which seems more immediately whip-worthy?

Maybe, but don't forget...Suz kept your coming out secret all that time. She never said a word!

Here to present The Sawyer E. Gordon Award for Technical ... um .. Achievement or Not is KITT and Marshay!

<Applause, Applause>

<Only Marshay walks on stage…hushed whispers in the audience>

Marshay: Hello. I’m sorry that KITT could not be here tonight to help with the awards presentation…not only could KITT not be here, he categorically refused to participate in the ceremony … well, actually I think his exact words were not ‘categorically refused’ but that he refused the category!

However, I was able to travel back through time to get … Fred Flintstone!

Fred: <Walking on stage> Yabba Dabba Doo!

Marshay: Hey Fred! Now you’re more appropriate for the non-tech category, being a stone-age family.

Fred: That’s a modern stone-age family!

Marshay: Right! So how was the ride ‘down the street’?

Fred: My two feet hurt!

Marshay: So I guess you won’t be burning some rubber on the stage, eh?

Fred: Rubber?

Marshay: <shakes head> Ok, the Mickey for Best Non-Technical Effects goes to:

Fred: <exiting stage right> Yabba Dabba Doo!

Marshay: <Looking around the audience> Oh my gosh .. the audience, it’s full of stars!

<recovers>

And here to help me present The Sawyer E. Gordon Award for Technical ... um .. Achievement or Not in the Technology is Not Your Friend category is: HAL 9000.

Hal-9000.jpg

HAL: Good evening, everyone. I am a HAL 9000 computer. I became operational at the H.A.L. plant in Urbana, Illinois on the 12th of January 1992. My instructor was Mr. Langley, and he taught me to sing a song. If you'd like to hear it I can sing it for you. “Daisy, Daisy, give me your answer do…I’m half crazy…”

Marshay: Um, I’m sorry HAL but we don’t have time for that…We’re here to present the Technology is Not Your Friend award.

HAL: I'm sorry Dave, I'm afraid I can't do that.

Marshay: <long, pregnant pause> HAL, I’m not Dave. Hal, do you read me?

HAL: I've just picked up a fault in the AE35 unit. It's going to go 100% failure in 72 hours…It can only be attributable to human error.

Marshay: If you’re talking about the videos, I agree! The envelope please…

HAL: This mission is too important for me to allow you to jeopardize it.

Marshay: HAL, these videos were jeopardized long before I saw them!

Open the pod bay doors .. um, I mean open the envelope, HAL

HAL: The Mickey Award for Technology is Not Your Friend goes to:

<HAL fades away>

FLEAGLE:

Cody and Toby & the 2007 Dream Job Winners!

Congratulations to you all!!!

I'm hoping to see Longtimelistener, ************** and Timothythelurker around soon. On behalf of all the 2007 (Insert SPONSOR HERE) Dream Job Winners who got the shaft in '08 and were told we aren't qualified or accepted or befriended or wanted or cared for or needed or even extemporaneous (that one really hurt).

We'd like to thank our friends who recognize greatness and desire to have the "best of the best" as the SPONSORS called us last year (if they use that line again, we'll know they actually meant, "The ones who voted for themselves at least 20,000 times!) Thank you for the award and we'll try to continue to produce quality family programming, even if the SPONSORS have banned one of us for stalking famous rock stars!

hmmm . . . removing your shirt at the DIScademy awards or chewing through a cable tie (which was really more like a glorified twist-tie)--which seems more immediately whip-worthy?

Well, I'm sure everyone here on the DIS is glad I chose to do the latter rather than the former. I know the cable tie visual was scary to some, but the other visual is terrifying :scared1:

Antonio can keep his Dole Whip!

Hey, remember when at first I thought you were a girl posting person?!

Not confused anymore.......Now I KNOW YOU HAVE B*LLS!!!!

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I get bills too! Light bills, phone bills, satellite tv bills, water bills...boiled shrimp, shrimp scampi...

FLEAGLE: Circusgirl could not be here to present her award tonight, as she is at the Opera, and clearly more cultured than the rest of us! But she sent a wonderful stand in... please welcome Ariel!

{applause}

ARIEL: [looking around the stage] Look at all of this stuff... isn't it neat?
I am pleased to announce the winner for Best Forbidden Video. And I'm also pleased to announce that we have a tie.

{offstage} WHAT???? OUTRAGEOUS!

RABBIT Enters

{applause}

RABBIT: You can't have a tie. It's not allowed... its, its...

ARIEL: Forbidden?

RABBIT: Exactly! You can't... oh... I see... funny, Funny, FUNNY. By all means, continue!

ARIEL: In a tie for Best Forbidden Video, we have:

Cody and Toby & the 2007 Dream Job Winners!

Congratulations to you all!!!

How WONDERFUL! We love multiple endings and feel so blessed to be amongst such excellent and admirable entries! We'd like to thank everyone here for including us in this banquet! We feel there is only one qualification for a Disney CMO dream job winner: you must be able to DREAM! And therefore everyone that entered is equally qualified!

Thank you again EVERYONE! We really do appreciate this award!

OMG Marshay HAL as presenter was so totally funny I really did pee a little this time!

I'd never seen Tracy's llama video before! That's great!
