I remember her talking about how much Anne helped her after one of the hurricanes. She also gave me some recipes once. This is very sad news.

When Hurricane Charley hit Central Florida, Marlasmom invited my family, including my large dog to come and stay at her house when we were without electricity. We didn't take her up on her kind offer but it just shows the generous person that she was. She will be missed.

Earlier today I was going back and forth a bit in email with a person who is a past DIS'er . During the exchange, she asked me if I had heard that DIS'er Marlasmom had recently passed away. I told her I had not. She said she had read the news on another board on the Net and knew I probably knew of her.

Those who have been around the DIS boards a long time probably will remember Marlasmom. I do not think she was around much recently, but then there are many like that who have drifted off.

Though I never really had any personal interaction with Marlasmom (not sure what her real name is) I was sorry to hear of her passing, thought I would share it here though. God speed.
