Oh my goodness! I just found this thread...

I am a huge fan of NKOTB. I truly thought I would marry Jordan back in the day. Now, I am a 33 year old SAHM to two wonderful kids and have a great husband who goes along with my obsession.

Growing up, we didn't have much disposable income so going to a concert was not really something I got to do. So, for 20 years, I could only dream of going to an NKOTB concert.

Then came 2008 and my world was turned up side down. My DH was great and took me to the concert in Boston and then the one at home in Ft. Lauderdale. In March of 2009, I went to the concert in Orlando and then went into withdrawal until June when I went to see them in NYC.

So, glad to find other fans on the Disboards.

Do we think it's a cruise announcement? Isn't it early for that or no? I can't remember when it came out last year.

Hey everyone! Summer has been fun and exciting! DH got a job as a bus driver in Disney and he is very excited to start! They are waiting on his background check and his drug test now then he has a physical.

I went to my teacher induction training. It was a long day and the guy next to me had a comment for everything! When he figured out I was ignoring him he tried to talk to the girl next to me!

One of our friends came down last week with their family. We pretty much did Disney with them all last week. It was tiring! We would get to their hotel at 9am and not get home until midnight. It was their first time so they were trying to see everything. The kids were hilarious! They had us laughing all week!

We still have the dog because no one has claimed her. Poor girl! It looks like we will be keeping her.

I got rid of Donnie's tweets coming to my phone about a year ago. I'd wake up and have 20 new messages. I am hoping the announcement is the cruise. But....I am hoping the booking is either next week or on a weekend. I start school 8/16 and can't spend all day on the computer trying to book! I'm going this year even if I have to go alone. Last year they announced the cruise and booking was in August. It was a Thursday, either the 6th or the 13th. I know it was a Thursday because I was on a field trip for the day camp I worked at and I waited not so patiently for a text from my roommate who was at home trying to book!

Looks like they already pulled the info but I saw a pic of the screen. May 12-16th, so one day longer than previous years.

It said prices starting at 699. I'm not pleased with the extra day!

I REALLY want to go on the next ctuise but don't think it will work out again. I can't imagine going without my BFF and she is hoping to get pregnant this fall. Not sure that her hubby would be too happy if I suggest they wait until after the cruise.

Looks like they haven't raised the price but have added the extra day, I think that is awesome for those who get on the boat!!!

Someone had a screen shot from Rose Tours on twitter. Said it goes on sale August 13th so next Thursday. May 12-16 on the Destiny out of Miami. It is a bigger ship then in the past. This ship has more balcony cabins whereas the last ship the only balcony cabins were suites. Going to Key West and Cozumel.

I won't be there. Best of luck to those wanting to get on!

Why do they announce it and then say 'hey by the way, you need to book by next week!' ? Way to give some notice.

The official announcement is out...The cruise will be on sale August 13th.

For the first cruise, they announced it the day after I resigned my job. So, of course, that was out. I am now a SAHM so I am not making money for all the extras like before. Then when they made the announcement for this year's cruise, my DH said I could go since he felt bad that I missed the first one.

Then as I was booking it, I felt guilty spending so much money for something that was just for me. So, I didn't do it. It was total fate. The week of the cruise my dad became very ill, the day before the cruise, I decided to stay at my parent's house as my dad was not expected to live much longer. He passed away on the Monday that the cruise returned. So, I really wasn't meant to go on that cruise. I was meant to be home with my dad.

As for next years, I am sure DH will say to go but it will be the first anniversary of my dad's death and I don't think I would truly enjoy it.

But I hope many of you can go so you can tell me all about it...

Best of luck to all who go. With us being in TX now there are just too many details to work out with the kids. Can't depend on Brian being here so far out. Who knows when the next deployment will happen. So, for now it appears I will not be on the boat. It's ok, I would ratehr spend the money on a vacation with the fam!

Welcome acomasdiaz! To answer your question, I think the only one of us who has gone on the cruise in the past is Kim and she has said she wouldn't do it again, after doing another band's cruise.

Well, I won't be going on the cruise either. I feel the same way Karen feels about the girls who are "in" with the guys, etc. The main reason I won't be going (and have never gone) is money, but I keep trying to talk to myself and go over all the conversations Karen and I have had on our roadtrips about the "crazies" who go to all these shows and every single nkotb event and cruise. That helps me remember that I don't think I want to be stuck on a ship with all these types anyway. And even if I had the money, I would feel way to guilty spending that much on just myself when I have a hubby and 2 yr old who could take a family vacation with me for cheaper probably.

At least we're all "on the same boat" and not going. We'll just live vicariously and meet up on here and Twitter to laugh about the stories and drama we hear about while the cruise is going on

I can't wait for Blue Bloods either!

I know what you mean about the girls who have it "in" with the guys. I am not one to throw myself all over them. I have this fear that I would spend all that money and just get pushed to the back by crazy fans and only get to see them for one second.

I mean, I did the 5 star meet and greet in Boston back in 2008. I met each one and although I had a millions things I would have liked to say all I said was "Hi! Nice to meet you!" So, I was completely forgettable.

Plus, after the group picture we were told to sit and patiently wait at our tables and the guys (Donnie, Danny, and Joe) would come around to all of the tables. Jordan and Jon did not stay after the group pics and I don't blame them. Well, only a handful of us stayed in our seats and that handful only got to meet Donnie. Danny and Joe were rushed by many of the girls and didn't stay long. Donnie, of course, being Donnie and loving it, stuck around as long as he could. So, you see, being the nice good girl got me nothing.

Hey ladies! And a warm welcome to acomasdiaz. I've been a little MIA because we were at Universal until last Wednesday, and work has been INSANE since I got home. I think I'm friends with all of you on facebook (hopefully) so for anyone who hasn't already seen, my pics from The Wizarding World of Harry Potter are up for anyone interested.

When they announced another cruise, I have to say it did give me pause, but then I just think of how amazing my VH1 cruise was, and I don't feel bad. I'm sure everyone going will have an amazing time. And fortunately, it seems with each cruise that goes on, they get more and more kinks worked out. If anyone in our little group here goes, we expect a full report. I won't be trying for it. I'm desperately praying for a VH1 Best Cruise Ever 2. There's a rumbling it's in the works, so I have my fingers crossed. If they do announce one, I'd be happy to pass along any info for those interested, lol. It's a great time...and if memory serves, slightly cheaper than the NKOTB cruise.

Anyway, back to work! This week is going to drive me to drink. Like I need an excuse these days...

Anyone planning on getting on the cruise? Crystal?

I saw they have a $300 NON refundable deposit. Has that always been the case or was it all refundable last year as long as you weren't passed penalty dates?
