I bet the non-refundable deposit will make the booking process easier. I am sure the last two years there were many who put down the deposit then cancelled when the next payments were due.

Good luck to anyone that tries to book on Friday! :goodvibes

Oh I haven't seen your pictures of Harry Potter! I definitely want to see them.

Anyone planning on getting on the cruise? Crystal?

I saw they have a $300 NON refundable deposit. Has that always been the case or was it all refundable last year as long as you weren't passed penalty dates?

I really want to go! But my NKOTB buddy doesn't think that her husband would be very keen on keeping their kids for like 6 days maybe 7 if you include a travel day on each end. Of course the year I actually HAVE the money to book on the day it goes on sale I won't be able to book because I surely don't want to get on the "crazy" boat all by myself.

I think Elena is going, and her hubby is going with her, which I think is absolutely sweet of him. So I guess we'll all have to live vicariously through her.

I am pretty sure we are going....if we can get a room!

Crystal, I think when talking about my DH the words you were looking for were "glutton for punishment!" We figure this might be the last cruise, and every year I don't book and then after the cruise I regret it. My DH has been to two shows, and he is so patient with my NKOTB love. I figure since the guys won't make him nervous he can help me out in the talking department. Each time I have met Donnie I wasn't able to utter a word!

The only thing I don't like is that the cruise is a day loner which will require me to be out of school Th/Fr/Mon. I'm not a huge fan of that!

And anyone else who wants to come is always welcome to stay in our cabin! I hear there isn't much sleeping on these cruises anyway!

Kim, I think you are the one NKOTB Diser I am not friends with on facebook...so of course I sent you a friend request!

Ahhh yes glutton for punishment!!! Well at least he is offering to go with you, most husband's wouldn't want to be on a boat with that many "crazy" women and NKOTB. Supposedly Holly is going to talk to her husband tonight and see if it is even a remote possibility, but since this year there is a $300 non refundable deposit, I don't want to book unless we know for sure that she can go.

Oh I hope you guys end up coming!!

I figured you girls would laugh at this! I found a girl from FL (about an hr from us) to room with on the cruise. I presented it to DH as "look you don't have to go through torture for the weekend, you can stay home." I priced it out and I can go on the NKOTB cruise and he and I can go on a cruise alone for the price of two of us going on the NKOTB cruise. Well he thinks about it and comes to the conclusion that he actually WANTS to go on the NKOTB cruise. He had an easy back out option and he chose not to! Weird! He said someone will need to be there to take pictures!

Not sure how I feel about that. Prices will probably be even more expensive, there will be more competition and there will be fewer songs by nkotb :headache:

I think it really stinks...if it is true I am beyond ticked. I don't like BSB at all, so I never want to see them. Plus all it means is higher ticket prices, less time for the guys and 5*'s are probably gonna be horrid. This whole thing is a bad idea. A VERY VERY bad idea.

I think it is a great business move and probably the only way they can tour in arenas again. Sadly, I think the only reason our guys were selling out shows on the last tour is because so many fans went to multiple shows. That said, I doubt many NKOTB fans will go to 3 or more shows on one tour if BSB is involved, so who knows how it will pan out. I think that their management is under the impression that everyone who loved NKOTB moved on to the BSB and NSYNC when NK were no longer together, but that couldn't be further from the truth. I don't mind BSB, but I won't go see them more than once and I definitely won't travel very far to see the show. I am pretty stoked about the idea of Boys II Men, though! :cool1:

On a different note, anyone else starting to feel really sorry for some of the "big fans" on twitter who seem to not have anything else in their lives besides NKOTB? :confused3 One girl that I follow, and am pretty sure most of you do too, doesn't know if she is going to be able to go on her planned trip overseas next year because she decided to cruise for the third time. I don't know, I love NKOTB but there is so much more to life than New Kids. Sad that some people's lives completely revolve around a band.

Yikes! Although after I booked the cruise I got a call from school asking if I wanted to be part of a mentor program. I will have to travel to Tampa 4 Saturdays this year. I immediately asked the dates because the cruise was booked! I think my assistant principal thought I was nuts!

You have a life other than NKOTB, though!!! So excited you are cruising!

Agreed!!! I am not thrilled in the least.

I have no idea who you are talking about but that is crazy! Giving up overseas travel when she's already went twice? Get a life, woman!
(If anyone wants to let me in on who it is...I won't object..:rolleyes1)

Meh. I don't really care for this. If BSB was the opening act and I could skip it or only see part of it, cool. I don't want it cutting into NKOTB's show and making it short, like the CasiNO tour shows.

I agree, there will be more competition for tickets. BSB and NKOTB fans are not really in the same..crowd, shall we say? And didn't BSB offer to open for NKOTB when they first started touring again and NKOTB turned them down?

If it were NSYNC, I may be a little more excited ;)

On a side note, is Boyz II Men even still around? :confused3

I am in no way interested in seeing BSB, even with our guys. With that said, I am sad I didn't get to go to any of the CasiNO tour shows, but life goes on. LOL

As far as the Twitter person, honestly? She is cutting back on Italy and possibly not going for a 3rd cruise??? She's nuts. I know it would be fun...once. But we went for 8 days with 4 of us in a balcony for what it would cost for same category balcony for 2 on the NKOTB 4 day trip. NUTS! I'd take Italy over a 3rd cruise, but I have a life. LOL

I don't even go to the Ning forums at all these days because I don't get the obsession at the level that many of those people are living. I feel sorry for some of them because it really does seem that they have no other life.

I occasionally will go on there and then am reminded very quickly of why I don't frequent that forum... C-R-A-Z-I-E-S!!! Glad you know who I am talking about on twitter! I will say that I have travelled all over Europe and there is nothing about New Kids that can even compare to the experiences that I had in Europe. No comparison at all. I think that some day this girl will look back and regret the fact that she let an obsession interfere with real life. Maybe not, she did make acomment that Italy will always be there, so her priorities are clearly different than mine!

I haven't seen the guys in concert since April 09 so I will take a NKOTB show however I can get it as long as it is close enough to drive to. I doubt I will be traveelling half way across the country to see NKOTB w/ BSB. But, I don't think it will be a bad show. I am definitely not a BSB fan and wouldn't go to a show that is just their's but I know and like enough of their songs that I think it will be a fun show. I agree I would rather see NSYNC, but Justin Timberlake would never stoop to that level. :rotfl2:

Sadly Ryan Seacrest just tweeted that the joint tour is confirmed...I am gonna go vomit now.

Yeah, I ain't happy either. I adore the guys. (obviously!) However, I'm not one of those fans that are like, "oh I'll take whatever they give!" or "we should be happy they are doing anything." Sorry I don't have the funds to fork out $100 for a 45 minute/hour set. Now I know we know no specifics so I may be jumping the gun. We'll have to see the logistics I guess. But as of right now I doubt I'd be attending this show. (Sorry Melody!)
