Got me and my sis a copy of the DVD! I thought $40 was steep too but like I even hesitated. Merry Christmas to me! The DVD was more than the Joe Mac tickets. :rotfl: I'd be psyched if I got a golden key but the fact that they're even doing that made me happy because that means there will be more touring!!!!

I'm beginning to see Twitter as both a blessing and a curse. I love the guys being so "accessible" but it sucks to see their "in crowd" and not be a part of it! :headache: They each clearly have gals they respond to multiple times. Girls that they have inside jokes with. And some of those girls love to make sure everyone knows it too! I feel like I'm in jr. high again. Staring at the quarterback from afar, hoping for that one little nod, one little acknowledgement that he knows you exist....:rolleyes1

I feel exactly the same way. And, sadly, the ones that get the attention are the ones everyone else thinks are the wackos!

Big day here... Brian is on his way home!!! I can't believe this year is really over and am looking forward to having my family back together. Reday to move on to our next adventure! Thank you so much for entertaining me during the past year! It means more than you will ever know! I will probably be aaway for the computer for a few days. If anything good happens, let me know on twitter. I can access that easily from my phone.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!!!

Me too!

I just think of those girls as having no life. They probably live through Twitter and don't have any interactiosn with people face to face on a day to day basis. Sure they're in the 'in crowd' of the New Kids but clearly they don't have much else going on for them.

So happy for you that your hubby is going to be home soon!:goodvibes

I agree about the guys and their crowd. Plus some women just spam them all day...I once did a search to see their replies come in, EVERY 5 seconds there are like 20 new messages and it's all the same people sending the same message repeatedly. I can't be bothered.

Heather, hope you and the girls have a great time spending time with Brian! What a great Christmas present. :goodvibes

I'm going to be doing exams and studying all weekend. Finals Monday! Ick. Hope everyone has a better weekend than mine!

Hey girls. I'm barely ever on the Dis anymore, I feel so out of the loop!!

I haven't ordered the DVD but probably will....or am I too late? One never knows with these boys. I was going through the stuff I had DVR's and came across their performance on, was it the AMA's? I can't remember. It got me all worked up again. I just love them!!!

We're busy here with Christmas stuff, dance, hockey games, etc. We did get some good news though, my hubby found out he has a pinched nerve so the surgery for that should be VERY minor!! Thank God he doesn't need major back surgery. That was his main fear so I know he is relieved.

How are all of you girls? Is your Christmas shopping done? What did you get your kiddies? All Becca asked for were scented markers and clothes. Noah wanted a few video games and that was it. So, of course Santa will be bringing those items with a few extras. We're not going crazy this year though, money is tight. We may even cancel our trip to Turks and Caicos in April. We'll see.

Anyway...I hope you're all doing well!!!! :grouphug:

The AMA preformance came on when we were waiting in line for a ride at Six Flags over the summer. Me and my sister looked up at the screen and started screaming and jumping up and down. :rotfl: I love the feeling they give me. I feel like I'm a little kid again. I love them.

I pre-ordered the DVD. One for me and one for my sister. Can't wait until February! Did anyone get the email about the jewelry box? Super cute but I wish they'd wait until after Christmas to start putting all of this stuff out there!!

Most of my Christmas shopping is done. I just need to pick up little things like cards and stocking stuffers.

This gave me chills! It is a shaky video, but great none the less. Thanks for posting it on twitter, Melody! NKOTB and New Edition on the SAME stage from the House of Blues Christmas show! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7z7FczJTaNk

Well, ladies, can you believe that we are nearing the end of the year already? I for one am ready to say "adios" to 2009. I am ready for 2010... I have never been more ready for a new year to begin. Thanks to all of you for being one of the bright spots in a long year for me. I hope that all of you have a beautiful holiday with family and friends. May the coming year bring all that you are hoping for!

To those out East, I hope you are digging your way out from the storm! We are preparing for round 2. It is expected to hit on Wednesday and last through Friday. Santa will need Rudolph for sure and all other Christmas plans are on the verge of being postponed. At least Brian is here so we can spend Christmas together!

Merry Christmas ladies!!!

Hey ladies! I don't post too often lately....mostly lurk but I thought I would post a quick "concert report" from last night!

My friend Shelby and I left central NH around 9:30 am. In our area there was no snow at all! We stopped at Walmart to get my toy for the Toys for Tots program. We drove almost an hour before the roads started to get bad. We stopped one more time at Walgreens so Shelby could pick a Neti Pot because she was so so congested! In all it took us almost 3.5 hours to make what is normally a 2 hour trip!. Not too bad!

We arrived around 12:30 and had lunch right next to the House of Blues at the Lansdowne Pub. There was only one man in line at the time. Our plan was to have lunch and then go back to the car, get our chairs, warm clothes and sleeping bags (to keep warm) and wait until 6pm. Then we would go one at a time back to the car, change and drop everything off. This is not what happened!

I almost didn't grab the tickets, but grabbed them at the last second thankfully! I had long johns on under my jeans but took them off in the car before we went out to wait in line because I figured I wouldn't need them! This will be important later!

Off we went with our winter boots, chairs, sleeping bags, multiple layers, hats and mittens. We sat outside for maybe 10 minutes when a man came out and said since it was so cold, as long as we promised to be good, he would let us come inside, use the bathroom and warm up....and maybe meet someone!
Well as you can imagine that was all it took for Shelby and I to ditch our chairs and sleeping bags. We put them against the building and decided that if they were there when we got back...great if not...oh well!

We went in the lobby and waited for a bit. I was casually chatting with DH on the phone and it happened! Donnie came out to greet us! You could have knocked me over with a feather!! We were a small group of about 40 so he stopped to hug each of us! All I could do was stare and whisper "thank you!" I was so star struck!! He started talking to someone behind me and put his arm around me! Oh man was I smitten! He even rubbed my back! Can you tell this was my first time meeting him? He was friendly with a lot of the girls. Some went on the party bus from Boston in November and most went to all three shows that weekend (NKOTB, Jimmy Marsh and Rob Lewis).

He went back and forth a few times after that. And each time I stared speechlessly! We kept debating about going back to the car because we had so much stuff and our toys and signs were in the car! I had two sweatshirts, a jacket, hat and gloves. We were nervous that if we went out they wouldn't let us back in! Coat check was $5 per item! Thankfully the girl we made friends with brought her toy in a reusable grocery bag. We managed to stuff our hats, gloves, jackets and one sweatshirt in the bag. We were able to coat check the whole thing for $5! But we ended up with no toys to give!

At this point HOB was really clueless as to what to do with us. Turns out it was Donnie who let us in, not HOB. At first they said we would have to go back outside and get at the end of the line. I think they sensed our growing anger since they ultimately let us stay inside until the doors opened. There were rumors that if you bought something from the HOB store and spent $15 then your receipt would get you in first. So when the store opened at 4 we all went in and bought merchandise!

They let the wristband people in first (they had eaten at HOB that morning or bought something in the store). Turns out they didn't do the receipt thing so I had a CD and a sticker that I didn't want now!

We ended up front row against the cat walk on the left side of the stage. Wow it was awesome! Jon sang step 5! Joey made it even though we weren't sure he would! New Edition sang two songs with the boys (Full Service and This One's for the Children). Jordan dressed up as Santa and danced while Donnie sang "Last Night I saw Santa Claus." Joe rocked his gold sequined jacket! They had snow fall! And there was some "mistletoe magic!" Mistletoe was thrown on the stage close to Jon so it was his turn to kiss someone. He picked a girl and man...they did some serious kissing! Then on Donnie's turn he turned and look at my friend and said "Nah, I'm going to go with something a little different" and chose a girl behind him. Darn! Joey kissed a girl on the cheek because he is married. Danny brought out his kids and kissed them and Jordan brought a girl on stage and danced with her but commented that he "didn't want a golf club over his head like Tiger Woods, so no kiss."

It was such a great time! I am glad to have finally gotten some face time with Donnie. Maybe next time I won't be suck a weirdo!

Happy Holidays everyone!
Elena

Awesome report! You were in a great spot, so close! Love all the pictures. Did Joe rock the shades the whole show??? I would have loved to have been there! My sister and I were so bummed we didn't go.

He kept the shades on the whole time! But he did look nice in the shades too!

Wow Elena! Great report. What a great night!! I didn't realize anyone from here was going.

Merry Christmas everyone. I hope you all have a safe, warm, joyous holiday. :santa:
