I am actually really on top of things this year for the holidays! I am close to finished with my shopping and normally I don't start until December. Super proud of myself! :thumbsup2 The hardest to shop for are Brian's sister and her husband. I really have no idea what I am getting them. For everyone else, if I don't already have their gifts, I know what am getting. Will grab a couple of things on Black Friday and do the rest online!

Angey... best wishes for a delivery that is as smooth and easy as possible! So happy for you and Jason!!! Can't wait to see pictures of little Jonas!

Thanks, Heather! We're leaving for the hospital in about 40 minutes. I had some Mediterranean food for dinner and I hope I can eat again at a decent time tomorrow ... I get kinda cranky when I am hungry. I'll be ripping heads off!

now we need some pics of the cutie! We have our own "New Kid" in the group!! (couldn't wait!) I just discovered that I can get on the Disboards @ work...woohoo~

Congratulations Angey!!!!!!!

Yes, Karen, I agree with you about Flossy. He's not really creepy, just likes the attention. He is very "charismatic." He does a lot of hugging and kissing. He planted a big kiss on me when I wasn't expecting it and kept his arm around me and rubbed my back. You can tell he's eating up all this attention from the ladies.

Well, those of you on Twitter may notice I've not been on as much lately. I'm under a lot of stress right now. Doug may be out of a job :sad1: He was put on "indefinite suspension" on Friday. It's a long story, but basically they are setting an example of him (I think), based on a technicality. It's REALLY ridiculous. He's been there over 8 years and is one of (if not the best) their best workers. So, we don't know what's going to happen. And, all this, right before Nicolas's birthday (last Sunday), Thanksgiving, Doug's birthday (on Thanksgiving), and Christmas! It's just a very rough time for us. :sad2:

Congrats Angey!!

Melody, I'm sorry to hear that. I really hope he doesn't lose his job over this, that it's just a suspension. Especially during this time of year.

My aunt has been in the hospital for two weeks and took a turn for the worse yesterday. The doctors think her liver is failing and they took her into ICU yesterday. I went to the hospital last night and they have her heavily sedated and on a respirator because she was having trouble breathing. Her heart rate is very high and her blood pressure is fluctuating between low and normal. I just can't believe this. I feel awful for my cousin Chris. He lost his sister two months ago and now this with his mom. :guilty:

Erin... woohoo! Getting on the DIS at work means we will 'see" more of you now!

Melody... I am so sorry about your husbands job. Thnking of you guys and hoping for the best.

Jenny... I am so sorry to hear about your aunt. Praying for everyone!

Melody I'm so sorry to hear that. If you need anything you know where to find me. We can meet and vent or do it thru email, whatever. I feel your pain, you know that.

Jenny, my thoughts go out to your family. :grouphug:

Yay for the "New Kid" Angey! :woohoo:

Oh Jenny, I'm so so sorry to hear that. My sympathy to you and your family.

Melody, I'm sorry to hear about Doug. I hope everything all works out for you guys.

Hope everyone has a lovely Thanksgiving.

Jenny, I'm sorry for your loss.

Melody, that sucks about Doug. Hopefully it is just a suspension.

Have a good Thanksgiving everyone.

:grouphug:

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! It has been a tough year, but despite the loss and separation my family has experienced, there is still so much for me to be thankful for. One of them is finding out that Brian is definitely coming home a month early! Should see him in 3 weeks but he will definitely be home before Christmas!!! :goodvibes He told the girls today on Skype... lots of happy tears! Thank you to all of you for helping me to get through the past year!

Hey gals! I'm ba-ack!
It's been a crazy few days. I went in for an induction on Sunday and at 8 a.m. Monday, I was being rushed in for an emergency c-section! I am soo stupid ... I had an epidural and forgot about limited use of my legs ... reached for something off the side of my bed and tumbled RIGHT OUT! Yeah, how stupid is that? When I fell out of bed, I did a bit of damage ... as in went from 4 cm to 9. Then the placenta started to try to deliver at the same time as Jonas and his heart rate started dropping. I was so drugged up that I stayed calm, but Jason was FREAKING. It didn't hit me until the next night, and I laid in bed crying, just feeling so fortunate that out of that situation came our healthy little boy! My doctor came to see me and I was thanking her so much that SHE started tearing up!
Anyway, I'm hoping to get pics up in the morning on FB and Shutterfly, so I'll keep y'all updated. He's so good ... eats at exactly three hour-intervals and is so quiet. My sister is here to help us for a few days and is giving us a break tonight by taking care of two feedings, while doing our laundry, cleaning and all that good stuff. I'm so happy she is here.
Anyway, I need to start exposing Jonas to some more NKOTB. He is pretty familiar with the theme from "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" already :)

Jenny, I am truly sorry for your loss.

Angey, I was just looking at pics of Jonas on FB. He is so cute! Keep posting new pics as you have time!

Here's the update on my situation. Doug's boss called on Wednesday and told him to report to work at 8am on Friday and be ready to work (nevermind that he had Friday scheduled as a vacation day so he could watch Nicolas while I went shopping!). When he went in to the office to pick up his work truck, laptop, blackberry and ID, his boss told him he was sorry they had to do that to him, but "it is what it is" :confused3 So stupid! He told him it's now "business as usual." I really think it was wrong what they did to him. Now he's uncomfortable with his other co-workers because who knows what they think happened. Luckily he isn't in an office, but drives around the city all day to different work sites, so he doesn't have to be around any of them much. He is still going to keep looking to see if there's any other job out there. The problem is that this is a big, good company. But, he says he doesn't know if he can stay there knowing how they treated him when he did nothing intentionally wrong and he's been a highly respected, model employee for 8 years. But, at least he's got a job and is getting a paycheck. I guess it could be worse. I just feel bad for him.

I hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving! Oh, and Heather, I'm so happy that your hubby is coming home soon!
