Ugh. This sounds like me a couple weeks ago. My dd1 puked all over me and then all over the van. Ugh. It was mess. I had to change clothes 3 times that day. Good thing I have tough stomach! Next day was fine though!

My dd5 missed preschool today. She's only puked once early this morning but her tummy has hurt all day. Not eating a thing. Missed her Valentine's Day party too. My mom took in her valentines and treats and brought her loot home to her. That perked her up a bit. It's amazing what a box of chalk hearts can do to a child.

Isn't it funny how mom's can just talk about puking, pooping and peeing like others discuss the weather?

Aaahhh....all this fun stuff I have to look forward to when Nicolas gets a little older. I can hardly wait!

Karen, I hope your DD gets better soon! All these poor sick babies!

Oh yeah, expect it! Alex was very rarely sick until she started preschool. Now it's something once a month. Fun, fun!

I'm probably not much help to you guys because I have a Kodak Easyshare. I'm happy with it, but you said you had a Kodak. I bought my Mom a Best Buy brand "Insignia" for Christmas. I only paid $59.99 for it on Black Friday, but it retails under $100 regularly. For an inexpensive camera, it takes good quality pictures. I read that it's actually manufactured by Nikon. My Aunt has one of the expensive high zoom Canon cameras that takes great pictures. I think that Nikon is good too though. I do know that you want to look for a camera that has Optical Zoom also and not just Digital Zoom. And of course check the # of Megapixels as well. Other than that, just check for the features you would like. My camera has a fireworks setting and landscape setting, indoor setting, low light, children action, etc. The one I got my Mom has a smile finder that will wait until it detects a smile before it snaps the shot. So, research what cameras have what settings and see which one has the ones you would use. I hope this helps a little!

I have this on my camera as well. There's like 15 different settings for photos and they're simple to use. It takes video too!

Happy Valentine's Day, ladies!!! Go figure... the kids were actually sleeping in today but I was woke by the doorbell before 8... hubby sent flowers. I understand the need for the headstart on Valentine's Day, but why did mine have to be one of the first deliveries?!? Anyhoo, they are beautiful. I got the girls new dress up clothes for V-Day, so it is Fashion Week in the David house, we have had several fashion shows already!

I hope that everyone has a great day with their Valentine's. I know it started early for one of us. If you don't know what I mean go check out facebook!!! It is VERY exciting!!!

Happy Valentine's Day! I listened to Valentine Girl on the way to work today and now it's stuck in my head. Unfortunately, I'm stuck at work until 3. I hope it goes quick!

I don't think my DBf and I are doing anything special. We're going to see Confessions of a Shopaholic tonight (he's a good sport) but we go to the movies all the time so...I hope it's good. I read all the books and absolutely loved them but the movie looks only so-so to me.

Yes, its general admission in LA. Its also general admission for the front in Santa Barbara too. I'm also wondering about the prices....some other concerts are $60 for good seats and I paid $104 for my ticket in Santa Barbara.

It sounds like several of you are starting off with romantic days. Unfortunately, my DH is working half the day because he's on call which also means we won't be able to go out...not that we would have since he doesn't like to go out in the big V-day crowds anyway. We also agreed not to spend the money on gifts, just cards. I don't know, so I usually end up kind of depressed on V-day because it seems like everyone else is getting flowers, going out to a romantic dinner or something and it's just another day for me. I'm just being a big baby I guess. I just feel lonely since he's not here with me Hopefully he'll be home soon though so we can be together at least. I want to hear all the romantic things all of you are doing and getting so I can live vicariously!

If it makes you feel any better, the rest of my day will involve zero romance! We are going to take my 92 year old grandmother to lunch so that she is not by herself and then we are going to make the rounds with the other grandparents. We are making homemade heart shaped pizzas for dinner and then watching Madagascar 2. I bought Righteous Kill to send to DH but I think I might open it and watch it after the kiddos are in bed. Gotta get my Donnie fix!

V-day is just another day for us. I'm not a romantic gal at all. It's just not me. We got some stuff for the kiddos but that's it. I don't even remember the last time dh and I did something "special" for the day. On Wednesday my MIL asked me if I wanted her to keep the kids for a while so we could go out. My response was "why?" (We don't go out much without the kids.) She's like it's Valentine's Day! Oops!

Anway, I hope you end up having a great day once dh gets home!! Maybe work on planning that cruise for September? That's exciting and no big crowds to deal with! Here - from me to you -

We're not doing anything either for Valentine's day. I am counting down the minutes until all the boys from my son's sleepover get picked up. 7 7 year olds all night long

Melody - I'm sorry you're feeling blue. We're not doing anything either!! My hubby is working and then has his radio show so he won't be home until after 5ish. I told the kids we're getting Chinese for dinner because I'm not cooking. I'm going to be cleaning all day. Want to come over? Why don't you guys just get some take out for dinner and watch a movie or something??

Amy - You had that many 7 year old BOYS over? Oh my goodness...you are a brave soul. Or just crazy! Which is it?

Well, my hubby is at work but he's also kind of cranky which is making me cranky. So, I'm off to pop on my iPod, do some laundry and pack for myself and the kids. I also need to get the house together because the cleaning lady comes on Tuesday! I want to get a head start!!

I'm kind of crabby. I don't know why. I can't seem to get anything done. I ended up watching Oprah's Valentine's Day special from yesterday I believe. Oh my gosh, I was crying my eyes out. Anyone watch it??

I guess I will actually go pack. I've got a ton of laundry to go through and see what I need to put in the suitcases for the kids.
