NKOTB Star Donnie Wahlberg Nearly Died After Falling Asleep While Driving

Los Angeles, CA (BANG) - New Kids On The Block star Donnie Wahlberg nearly died after falling asleep at the wheel of his car.

The 39-year-old singer - who revealed he is "exhausted" after reuniting with the 90s band for a staggering 49 concerts - briefly closed his eyes while he was driving home following a performance last week.

He said: "I nearly crashed my car last week after the show. I was driving from San Diego to Los Angeles and I had been on the road for three hours. I was so tired that my eyes kept closing. Then I fell asleep at the wheel and it was raining."

"I was like, 'Whoa,' and I have been quiet ever since. I'm so tired."

Donnie isn't the only member of the band to be feeling the pressure of the lengthy tour.

Jordan Knight has revealed the group have employed massage therapists to help them stay relaxed during their grueling schedule.

He added to Britain's Daily Star newspaper: "We have got masseuses as you have got to take care of yourselves!"

Thank goodness the guys have confirmed that this is a rumor! Don't want anyone getting hurt! Also, new blog from Danny confirms there are more shows to come in 2009!!!

Woohoo!!! I cannot wait until the 2009 dates are released. My husband hasn't seen his family in just over a year and we are trying to plan a trip to KY in June of 2009, but I am waiting to see when dates are released before I plan the trip so not to miss a concert. Is that horrible of me to choose Jordan of my husbands family???? Nah, I didn't think so.

My husband just got the IPhone this past weekend and loves it. i have friends who are big picture messengers and are frustrated by their IPhones (and other smart phones for that matter). Seems you can only use email to send and receive them, or something along those lines.

I just went back to the beginning of the thread, and we have been doing this since August 4th!!! When I started this thread, I wanted to pass a few days quickly before I went to meet the guys at the MOA. i had no idea we would still be here months later! My threads typicaly go absolutely nowhere. Hard to believe we are at 100+ pages in less than 4 months!
