Thank you, Heather.
We left Katy around 1:30 p.m. yesterday. The thought of a cat. 3 or 4 eye coming over our house did not appeal to us (even if it is to weaken by the time it hits Katy to a 2, but we're not taking the chance of it not). Packed up four cats, two labs, myself and my husband in a Pilot and headed out. The interstate system was packed going both east and west. My friend made it at east as Beaumont and was at a dead stop for an hour and a half before turning around and heading to Dallas.
We took back highways all the way in to Mandeville, LA (my in-laws). Took us 9.5 hours! (Normally just five).
Most of my neighbors stayed, but my big concern was my roof somewhat coming off and having my animals dispersed. One of my neighbors will be calling with updates. Until then, it is very windy in Mandeville (just north of New Orleans).
Silver lining ... we finally get to go to an LSU game on Saturday!!!!

So glad that you are in a safe place. We will hope for the best with your house.

Ooo, I hadn't heard!

saw an interview online the other day where the question was posed and Danny said that w/ the response they have had, they could do another CD!!! Also, I read somewhere else that there might be more U.S. tour dates next year.

Omigosh, I hope so! I'm a bit panicked thinking I may miss them b/c I didn't want to drive 4 hours each way to get to Columbus OH. Surely with the success of the CD and the response they've gotten they won't leave so many cities and fans hanging.

I heard from one of my old fellow new kids groupies today. She saw them last week on Long Island and Jonathan asked about me. So now I am over all that "will he remember me" anxiety and looking forward to the short meet-n-greet for the VIP thing.

It was all very innocent. I first met them when I was living in Cleveland. It was December 1988 and my friend and I were hunting them down to try and get an interview with them for our cable access show. We found what hotel they were staying at and arranged it there and the guys invited us to hang out with them. Donnie took a bunch of photos on my camera.

Soon after I moved to NYC in 1989, my roommate and I heard they were in town. I used my super-stalking skills to figure out what hotel they were at. We went there and called Donnie's room and I told him I had all those photos he took. Gave them to him. Ended up hanging out with Jonathan.

Whenever they were in town, we somehow knew where they were staying and would hang out with Jonathan. We went to several concerts as well that summer.

All was fine and dandy until Biscuit told us we had over-stayed our welcome. I stopped going, but my friends continued for a while. But when they got really huge, it just became impossible to see them. But I cherish the memories we had.

Well, I'm back at work ... at my in-law's house in Mandeville, LA! ARGH!
Seems most of Katy has power back except our 700-home neighborhood. We are hoping today or tomorrow, mostly since we are heading back in the morning (husband has to get back to work).
We had a friend walk through our house and no roof damage and only one tree down in the backyard with no damage anyway. To quote the grandfather in National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation "It was an ugly tree anyway."
We were very fortunate, so I won't spend too much time yelling about my electricity!

But to our delight, we not only have power, but also phone, internet and cable. We are very fortunate!
BTW, on the drive to and from Louisiana, I was not allowed to listen to much NKOTB in the car thanks to someone!

I still have about 20 VHS tapes with all of their interviews (Oprah, Connie Chung, MTV, ect.) and concerts (Rockin' Rio, Pay-per-views, Disney specials, awards shows, super bowl half time, etc). My sister and I are going to the concert here in KC in November and I can't wait!

I'm jealous that you still have all of that VHS stuff! I have Oprah and Wildest Dreams on my iPod, and I have the Providence pay-per-view, and a few other random things, but I'd love to see Connie Chung again, and some other stuff that I can't find!

I was wondering why this thread has been so quiet despite the tour starting this week, but then I remembered I think two of our major contributors are at Disney this week!

I am really debating caving in and getting 5* VIP for the Milwaukee show. My heart says go for it, but my head says no way!

See the thing is, I already have 5 tickets for the Milwaukee show. I had 2 for roughly 30th row, and then was on ticketmaster, and found some in the 12th row on the floor, so I bought new tickets. Three of them. So now if I buy VIP on top of that, I'll be stuck with all of those extra tickets. If I would have just gotten the VIP in the first place instead of screwing around with all the regular tickets, I could have just about had it paid for by now!

Wow, hmmmmm can you sell any? I would try and sell some(the 30 row ones) and keep the 12th row with a friend (since I'm guessing someone is going with you) and get one 5 VIP and when the meet n greet is over maybe sit with your friend?
Unlesss of course your friend(s) want 5 VIP's as well then just sell'em all and buy a 5 VIP's

I think I just confused myself!

I do understand wanting the 5 VIP's but coming from someone without a hometown show, I'd be happy with the 12th row, its not meet n greet or 1st row but thats pretty darn good! (I know I would still be soooo wanting those 5 vip's no matter where else I was )
