Danalee - Hope things are going well today. You'll be in my thoughts. Also I love the basket idea. I did this for my grandma too. Sadly she passed away July 07 after a 7 month battle with ovarian cancer. I can't believe how strong she was at age 84. Give those Grandmothers an extra long hug this Christmas!

I will! My grandmother is close to 90 years old and she has more of a social life than I do! She's always going out to lunch with the girls or bowling or going to bingo. She stays active! :thumbsup2

Hey girls! Guess what? I just came home and found a beautiful arrangement from Edible Arrangements (fruit and such) from the hospital! I think that was very thoughtful. It's nice to know they took what I had to say seriously! :)

I'm off to take Becca to dance class and I'll be back later on!!!

OK Ladies- This link was posted on the UKsite. http://newkidsareback.com/ what the video- it says time frames for 2009 tour.

BUT...

What is Secondary Market? (March -April) Tickets will be on sale VERY soon.

National Markets (May-July) They could come see ME for my birthday in July. :lmao:

I told my DH this morning that is all I want for Christmas - he needs to have lots of $ set aside for my tickets.

Wish they would release dates soon! I would LOVE to be able to see them for my birthday in March. My kids are on spring break that week, so I have no problem dropping them off with my parents and travelling so that I can do 5* on my birthday!!! Come on New Kids, release dates!

In unrelated news, imagine my surprise when I went outside last night after the kids went to bed so that I could shovel snow, and someone had already done it for me! Good to know there are nice people out there!!!

Am I watching the same video as you.....it was the one about the Hammersmith Apollo announcement, but it didn't say anything about time frames for 2009 tour. Is there a different video that I am missing?

http://nkotbnews.blogspot.com/ Try this link- this is where I got it from. scroll down past Donnie's blog, Jordan on the Set of Donnie's movie. NKOTB Tour plans for 2009.

I promise the video was there this morning- I went in to totally freak out mode because I dont have $ saved yet. And if they come to my town in March the tickets are going to be on SALE SOON. (Since Britney is coming here at the end of March and her tickets have been on sale for two weeks).

Did I mention that I  Donnie. (Dont worry my DH is fully aware of my super crush :lovestruc) Check out his new blog- he is so thoughtful to give us time to get OUR Mind RIGHT- LOL

May I vent?? I am having a CRAPPY day. First of all, I'm taking my grandmother to an event tomorrow since she doesn't drive. She's supposed to bring a dessert which means I'm doing that too. (I don't mind, I always do stuff like that for her) So, I went to the store to get what I needed to make her dessert and I slightly scraped the car in the spot next to mine. I feel horrible!! We ran in the store, got our stuff and came back and sat in the car for 40 minutes waiting for the person. They never came out. So, we left a note on their car. Now, really there's barely a scrape on their car but I couldn't just leave without saying anything!

So, I'm waiting to hear from them.

Now I just came home and check on my grandmother's Christmas present. The guy at the company told me it's DELAYED! No email notification or anything! :sad2: I'm ticked! He said that SHOULD still arrive before Christmas, we're hoping so. Gee, his confidence makes me feel a whole lot better. NOT! It just ticks me off. We do a Polyanna and to have the one adult that I have to buy for not have their gift - it pisses me off!!!! #$%#%$!!!!!!

Okay, off to make her Gingerbread for her little get together tomorrow.

Shelby

Shelby, I am sorry you are having a rough day.

I am sure the Gingerbread will turn out fantastic. Yummy.

Back again. The owner of the car called and he said not to worry about it. He went out and looked at his car and then called back and said he really didn't see anything. Phew! I feel SO much better!! I felt just horrible about that. :sad2: He was really nice though and thanked me for being honest. What a nice guy!:thumbsup2

My grandmother's gingerbread is done and it smells AMAZING!! Tomorrow I'll make the icing to go on top. DELICIOUS!!! May have to make another one for us. :rolleyes1

The UK NKTV was there last night. I wonder if it was removed?

Sorry you are having a crappy day, Shelby!!! Hope your gift gets there in time and that the gingerbread turns out yummy!!!

Hope everyone else has had a good day. I still have sick kids. One of my twins has pneumonia. :sad2: Poor little thing sounds like she is going to cough up a lung. It came on SO fast. She started getting sick Sunday night and I took her to the Dr. yesterday and it had already developed. I hope she starts feeling better soon! I want her to enjoy Christmas!

Thank you I thought I was going CRAZY AGAIN!! It was there at 6am this morning.

I am so sorry you kiddos are . to you I know how hard it is when the kids are sick and there isnt really anything you can do to make it better. (My DS8 has autism so we never know he doesnt even feel bad until it has turned into something way more than it needed to be).

Hey, Shelby, your day is already looking up! No car damage and the gingerbread done!
Now, I have to recruit my husband to help me ice 120 sugar cookies. I'm kinda sorta known as being a perfectionist when it comes to my cookies and I never take help ... this should be interesting.

Thanks, Angela!

angey - how'd the cookies go? Did you let your hubby help? I love anything having to do with baking. It's one of my favorite things to do!

Heather - I'm so sorry about your kids being sick and pneumonia!?!? WOW. I hear you about sickness developing fast. Two years ago on Christmas Eve our daughter, Becca had to go to the ER. My kids are the type that are happy even when they're very sick so sometimes you don't know they are sick until they are REALLY bad. Anyway, she was acting fine and then all of a sudden on Christmas Eve day she started to go downhill, by dinner time we knew we had to get in touch with our Dr. We ended up going to the ER and she had tonsillitis, a double ear infection and a sinus infection. It was horrible! But they gave her an antibiotic shot and sent her home with some meds. She woke up on Christmas morning happy as can be, enjoyed every minute. Sorry I went on and on like that! I guess I just wanted to give you hope that she'll be great by Christmas! They bounce back fast!

lovemickeya - can I ask you some advice? My neighbor's son has Autism and I just don't know what to get him when it comes to things like Christmas and birthdays. Any tips you could share? He's 8 as well. I would rather give him things that I know he can use or he'll enjoy, you know?

Well, it's so peaceful around here. Becca and my hubby were both asleep shortly after 8pm. (my hubby didn't sleep well last night) My son, Noah was up until 10pm. That's a late night for him on a school night but they're barely doing anything in school. So, since 10pm I've been relaxing and enjoying some time by myself. I'm just sitting here enjoying the tree and checking in with you guys! :)

Hope you all have a good Thursday!!!

Shelby

P.S. Did Brae's Mom give us details about the trip yet and I missed it??????
