Just wondering if anyone knows if the buffet is open on the Dream the disembarkation morning. I know you can eat in the restaurant that you ate in the night before, but it is so early, just wondering if we would be able to sleep a little longer and eat at the buffet that last morning. I know we need to be off the ship at 9am but thought if we didnt have to get up so early that morning we could grab a bite at the buffet. Thanks in advance for your info.

It's only those restaurants that are open the last morning. And if you get the main seating time, it can be craaazy early! I like to order room service the night before for the disembarkation morning and skip the sit-down meal. Nothing big - just some fruit, muffins, & coffee. That's usually enough to hold us over until we get off the ship & through customs.

Our server told us at dinner the last night, in response to a direct question from us, that Cabanas would be open in the morning. It seemed very hush-hush, as if DCL preferred that people not utilize that option. We had the early seating and breakfast in the dining room came really early. We'll be eating at Cabanas next time!

It was open on our last morning. I don't think that they make it known. We ate in our assigned restaurant and only know as I was trying to make a phone call and went to the pool area to try to get reception and saw that it was open and not very busy.

Yes the buffet is open, the time will be listed on the papers that are left in your cabin the last night.
DCL wants everyone out of their cabin by 8am so they can turn the cabins around for the next guests.
If you have early seating for dinner you b'fast time is 6:45 or 7:00 that last morning. If you have late seating b'fast is at either 7:45 or 8:00 the last morning. Your exact time will be listed on the same paper and your servers will also tell you the time to be at b'fast if you choose to eat in the dining room.

Also, unless you are concierge, it has always been noted that room service is not available the last morning.

On each of the ships, the buffet restaurant is open on disembarkation morning. The service ends PROMPTLY at 8:30. You can sit and eat after that, but no more food is available.

As noted, there is no room service on the last morning except in concierge cabins. You can order something the night before and store it in your refrigerator.

We felt the same way, couldn't make it to breakfast at 6:45 a.m. on the last morning of our November Dream cruise. They would have to have been offering caviar and champagne for us to show up at that time. :rotfl2: We ate at Cabanas and it was fine. This summer we'll be on the Magic and plan to ask our Head Server if we can come to second seating breakfast in the main dining room on the last morning of our cruise. I've heard these requests may be honored if some second seating guests have indicated they won't be dining on that morning.

Well I wish I knew this on our cruise (March 4-9 2012). We went to AP and the food was very soggy and not warm at all. I was very disappointed in it compared to the dinners and breakfasts that we had prior. Mind you we never ate at the restaurants for breakfast, always Cabanas. We had 2nd dining so breakfast was 8am. Next time I will head to Cabanas:yay:

On your next cruise I highly recommend the Royal Palace for a sit down breakfast. Lots of great choices, well prepared!

We will be going to Cabanas for b'fast on disembarkation day on our next cruise. We previously ate in the main dining room and did not care for it. Getting up and eating early will not be a problem for us. We just like the buffet much better.

Thanks for the info. :thumbsup2
