Well, Wendy you aren't the only one. :sad2: Sadly, I won't be making it either.
I know I said that once before and was too easily talked back into going, lol, but this time it's pretty much final.

It's a rough time for us heading into birthday season (Adam and Noelle have b-days in Nov&Dec) as well as Christmas. I usually start my holiday shopping at the end of October and with four kids that's not cheap let me tell ya!

So after much difficult thought, I am backing out. I'm very sad that:
1. I won't get to see you all in your awesome costumes so I am hoping someone takes pity on me and posts lots of pics.

2. I won't get to be in Disney on my actual b-day which I've never done, and I'll miss spending my gift card!

3. I've usually just had family at my b-day parties and I was really looking forward to for once spending that day surrounded by a group of friends. Looks like I'll be the one spending my b-day sad and alone....... :rolleyes1 (not really, ;) ) lol

But I will miss all of you!
However, I know Ruben and the kids will make the day special and I've been there at Halloween before so I'm not too sad. For those of you going, especially for the first time, enjoy it!!! Have fun!! :yay:

And I am comforted knowing I will get to see some of you here on my home turf in November!!! That will be fun, and we'll have a great time then. ::yes::

Thank you to everyone for being willing to spend at least part of your trip with me on my birthday and I hope that maybe one day it will work out to do so. In the meantime, happy planning to you all!!!! :goodvibes :grouphug:

I feel your pain Beth! I was supposed to go to Disneyland for my birthday, but NOOOOO, I have to have a stupid friend that is a jerk. I'm not bitter, really.

We can have our own fun online (exciting, right?).

I'm sad that I won't be seeing Wendy or Beth, but understand. If it wasn't for Stacie offering to bring me with her, I wouldn't be going.

We will miss you!

I'm so jealous of you all! It looks like I wont be making this trip...stupid bills. I look forward to hearing about the trip. You all have to take tons of pictures, especially all of you dressed up in your costumes!

:sad1::sad2:

Bummer that Wendy and Beth won't be making it to the Oct meet. It won't be the same without you guys.

I'm sad that Wendy and Beth can't make it, but I completely understand..... Who knew that everyone would have SOOOO much fun in Vegas that it would cut into the Disney fund?? :rolleyes1

Ok So I am sad to say that after careful consideration, I am backing out of the trip. Jordan's grades were not so good. I can't reward him with a trip for not doing well in school and then goofing off in summer school.
Why must kids turn into teenagers?? I hope it passes soon.

Plus I have tuition due on Sept. 10 and since quitting my job and taking a HUGE paycut it would be really hard to go.
I can't wait to see all of the great & fun pics of the great ole time you guys are going to have.

But I will see all of you in Feb!!

Man everyone is backing out! This stinks! I am really bummed that I am not going to get to see you guys!

Beth and Wendy I totally know what you mean though about the bills. Fall is a tough time for us too! Our six month car ins is due Nov 10th so RIGHT after this trip and my car reg is due right BEFORE and they just RAISED it 100 bucks because of this whole budget mess. Plus I have Katy's birthday in Dec and Christmas and then Shane's reg is due the end of Dec and I can't WAIT to see how much they are going to hit us on THAT one. It was 500 LAST year! ACK! So I totally see where you guys are coming from! My plane tickets are already bought and paid for though so we are set as well as our party tickets and the kids are REALLY excited to go.

I am just so bummed that so many people aren't able to go.

Ok NO backing out of Feb though!! ;)

Beth, Wendy & Debra - I am truly going to miss all three of you and your beautiful faces during the Oct meet. But, I understand when finances are tight. It's better to be sensible and realistic about things rather than stick your head in the sand.

I REALLY hope to spend some quality Diva time with all three of you in Nov in Vegas.:dance3::dance3:

And of course we have the BIG meet in Feb in which attendance is mandatory for all!;)

Well I am extremely bummed out about Beth, Deb and Wendy!! :sad2:

Beth..........this was your birthday trip. How are we going to celebrate your Birthday Bash without the Beth in it??

Gee wiz..............:sad1::sad1::sad1:

Oh shoot, Deb, I'm sorry. Even though I can't make it, I hate to see others not being able to. But I can understand. Believe me.

Ok NO backing out of Feb though!! ;)
No way Jose!! :thumbsup2

Oh you'll see me alright! I'm thrilled to hang with you here in Vegas, and I'll even buy you a lap dance. :rolleyes1

I'm sorry. This wasn't an easy decision. I will miss being there. I have a feeling I'll be pretty bummed on my actual birthday. :(
But it just isn't going to work this time.

For what it's worth, please know that I am really touched that all of you were willing to take some time from your day at Disney to come to what was going to be my birthday lunch. Just that thought alone means a lot to me. Thank you. I love you all! :goodvibes
So go have fun in my honor!! Eat a giant cupcake from the bakery for me, and come back to tell me all about it. :grouphug:

Hey all! The time is quickly approaching for us to make our PS! :cool1::woohoo::yay::dance3: It's time for everyone to start thinking about the meals and make any changes they would like. Anyone want to volunteer to call and make the PSing's?

I don't have access to the front page anymore, but know that Bridgette should be along soon to update everything.

I do want to share my thoughts about the BBQ now. Now that it's no longer a Character meal, and Beth is not attending, is it something everyone still wants to do? Honestly, the menu seems really limited to me for the price. I will do what everyone else wants to do, but wonder if our money and time wouldn't be better spent somewhere else? Anyone have any thoughts on this? Do we need two sit down meals that day-Goofy's for late breakfast and somewhere for dinner? Anyone have a suggestion, or should we just leave it the way it is?

I'm so excited to be going! :cheer2:

How very cool of you!

I decided to be Maleficent. I think it will be a comfy costume, and I'm never the 'bad one'. I always lean towards cutesy. I think it will be fun to try something different (for me!) for a change. Now I need to find some makeup that will not ruin my skin. Any tips on costume makeup anyone?

Oh, cool! I like Maleficent. She's so evil!

I am sad to hear that some of you can't make it. What a bummer, even though I was not going to get to see everyone anyhow since I am just a drive by visitor for a few days. I do look forward to seeing some of you though! Who might be in the area by Wed night and/or Thursday??

First, I am so :( Beth won't be coming! Was excited for my DH to meet the originator & coordinator of the Girls Trip.

Second, I am confirming that my DH & I will be coming on either the Sat or Sun of this trip. Likely not both, but definately one of the days.

Third, Deluxe Passes (I posted this as an FYI on the Feb Girl's Trip thread too). As many of you probably heard/seen, Disneyland raised their ticket prices this week. The Deluxe Annual Pass is now $289 each.

If anyone will be going to Disneyland before 10/31/09 and are interested in the Deluxe pass, these are still available at SoCal Costcos for $269. With the Costco ones you also get a $50 Disney gift card so it's really more like $219.

I don't know if there is a list somewhere of the costco's offering this, but I think the fullerton one is one that has it. My DH & I bought ours & our friend's family ones this week at our local Costco. 6 passes definately adds up, but saved us $120 all together.

I am good either way. I've been to the BBQ (back when it was still the "character" meal and the food was good, but is limited and it's not cheap. So I will leave it up to everyone else.

Well, you know me, I'm always up for a meet!

The Irvine Costco's also had them on Monday.

P.S.--I'll help make PS's.

And one thought--where we haven't been--is dinner at Plaza Inn? And we can save tables outside and hang until the fireworks?

I'm also good with whatever is decided. I've heard mixed reviews about the BQ and since Beth won't be joining, I'd be fine with another place and Cheryl the Plaza Inn is a good idea.

I'd be up for making a PS somewhere - just kick me and let me know where ;) We also like the Plaza Inn for dinner, so it would be a thumbs up for us. Jesse is really looking forward to going to Goofy's for breakfast again!!

We all know I am a follower....so whatever the group decides - count me in!
But I really like Cheryl's idea. It's a great spot to sit for a long period of time.
