Discussion about Staff

I'm convinced they get their things from banning players who don't "do" anything "wrong"- they just find someone who has the stuff they want- ban them- and boom their inventory goes to them... ;)

Seriously- I would guess it is something already mentioned- that they have an access panel like ours but it has all items loaded into it- and they just "reload" like we shop- but being staff they don't pay or anything for the "game" items.

I've seen "off-duty" staff doing ride-a-thons and things and get credits and playing games- so obviously they do have to build up credits for "personal" consumption... Or maybe they just want to have fun and play the game sometimes. :confused3

Im sure just to have fun

It's for accessing the Moderator control panel, Goofy, with all the extra buttons that staff members need to do their job. It's not that big a deal, and there's no reason to email contact us about it - they're not going to tell you anything. ;)

I think whenever they need something they can get it simple as that be it they put itmes onto a code and punch in the code and get the items or some other way all we know is they get the stuff.

I'm sure that the display screen for the staff is different from what we see as players. They would have more options –they don’t need codes to get anything. Probably just a push of a button and they can have anything that is released for *them* to use.

Sure you might see they playing a mini-game, but it is for fun not for the credits.

That button in the top corner is for the Moderation Panel. Kind of like if you owned a chat room, you have a button to open up a mod panel to boot or restrict users, modify settings, send an announcement, etc. etc.

While staff does take time to play with players, if they are playing for "personal" enjoyment I would be willing to bet they would be required to do so on a character that is not in anyway identifiable with their known staff character. For example, HOST_Hula may be another player that is on your friends list during her own personal time, but you would never know it's Hula.

It is known that "higher ups" within the company that makes a well known online game play the game as they enjoy it; however, no one has any idea who their characters are. They are just like any other players.

i have confirmed staff can have 1 extra character, just like us but there not mules they have to work so they can't go on them for that long

yeah, you never know. Im sure they sometimes play on characters like us, so others cant bother them when they are working.

I think she meant like they have other charatcers to just play the game. Don't they do all work on their work accounts?? :confused3

Having been a beta tester for a few other games a few years back, I can confirm that they do have regular "play" characters. I had a "work" character and a "play" character. Anytime they are on their staff character, it's like clocking in for work. They are "on the clock" and should be doing work related stuff on that character. And yes, sometimes it means hanging out with players for a period of time. After all, the best way to get game feedback is to hear it from the players themselves, right? But of course, if you truly love the game, I'm sure you'd want to be able to play and not just be working all the time. So yes, they do have "play" characters.

It is not a surprise that they would have a "play" character. Gives you the opportunity to interact with others on a different level.

Let's go back a year or so...before the re-release of the pink tiki and red crate. Only Hula had pink tikis and red crates in her inventory. There were a lot of items Hula had that the other hosts did not. From what I understand, they could not just make those retired items appear to use for their own rooms, they had to borrow them from each other. That may have changed, with all the added inventory and re-released items, and now even park quest items that the hosts all have available to them. I wonder if asking the Yeti would warrant a response? Hmm..I think I'll give that a shot!
