Any discounts for DC?

Except for the Florida residents discount, I don't think there are any. We had to pay full price when we went, and I have never heard of a discount being offered to the public.

There is the lower price for those who don't do the dolphin swim, but I wouldn't recommend it since the dolphin swim is what somewhat justifies the high cost.

We went in August too! It's a great experience. We went on August 19th and all I can say is book early because for us the price went up by $30-$40 per person as we left it late (about 7 months before I think). I think the second half of August is generally cheaper so if you see a cheaper price then book it because prices do go up sometimes, as they did to us.

You can get a significant discount if you are a sea world season pass holder. But the discounted tickets you get fro Discovery Cove will not get you admission into any other parks like a full price ticket will. We paid full price $299 per person and upgraded to the ultimate ticket so we would get into Busch Gardens as well as Aquatica and Sea World. We did the dolphin swim but if you wanted to do the park without the dolphin swim it should be around $149-$169 a day per person.

I am looking forward to going back and not doing the dolphin swim since I have already done it once.

Things have changed for 2013. While your post was accurate to the end of 2012, it is not any longer.

"passmember2011" no longer works on the DC website. As a passholder, you have to book via phone with or via your specific passholder website (SW, Aquatica, etc.) and the rate is no longer deeply discounted.

When we went in August 2012, we paid $69 pp for the non-dolphin swim day as passholders. For this August, it would be $119 for the same admission. I believe only January, May and November 2013 offer more substantial discounts for passholders.

how do i find out if the pass holder price is worth buying the pass. we need 4 dc with dolphin swim as two of the four are kids and I believe they need to have an adult each with them. We are going last week of septmenber to first week in october

If you are going then the new pass holder rates would not apply. They are only offering the rate in May and Nov this year the non swim was $99 and the swim was $169

We did save about $50 by buying our tickets through AAA.
