I am looking at taking our Family here while visiting Disney World. We have 2 sons ages 9 an 5. Experiences anyone? Is it worth the $$? :earsboy:

We went 2 years ago during Christmas week - DD was 10 1/2 - and loved it, even though the day was really cold. Beautiful facilities, good lunch, dolphin interaction was incredible. Can't say enough good things about it. I don't know what restrictions there might be for a 5-year old.

We did it last summer and had a great time. You get a full lunch with your admission, so keep that in mind as well. Get there early to schedule your dolphin swim early in the day. Then you have the rest of the day to play around. We had a ball.

We loved Discovery Cove. There is a Discovery Cove board here on the dis.

Yes we loved it as well- when we went you could do the dolphin swim at 5 years old(I think it was 8 at the time?) I don't know if that has changed. It really is geared toward older children- I took my 9 year old and he had a great time but I did not bring my 6 year old-I told her we would do a special trip when she is old enough (and guess what she is old enough this year!) I liked going with just one child because it allowed us to really have a very special day and I look forward to doing it with my DD too! It is a great FULL day.

Yup. Worth every penny!!! We loved it!!!

I *think* I read on this board somewhere that the admission price now covers all your snacks as well???? Just another thing to take into consideration...........
