Well, where do I start? :confused3 :confused3

I really, really really want to do DC and swim with dolphins. Now, heres where my probs start.

1. Trying to persuade DH to part with his/our hard earned cash.
2. Is there enough for a 2 1/2 and 5 year old to do to keep them occupied.
3. Do I do the swim on my own (when/if I finally persuade DH to pay out) whilst DH and my mum look after kids or do either my DH/mum do the swim also, leaving either one of them looking after kids.

I just don't know what to do - also my eldest DD really wants interact with the dolphins - are people who are not doing the swim still able to go near them/ touch them, because I know that if I do the swim and DD doesn't get anywhere near them, she'll have a paddy :furious:

I really need someones advice - PLEASE HELP ME in my/our decision.

TIA

In answer to one question which appears to be the main one, can DD touch the dolphins, as far as I know the answer is no, as this is part of the interaction which she is not old enough to participate in. The whole interaction lasts about an hour from start to finish if that helps re the childcare issue.

Hi kirlie and welcome to the Dis :)

Unless money is no object, why not wait and do it on another trip when your children are older? As your DH says, it is a lot of money and it would be a shame not to get the most out of it :)

That would solve all the concerns you have, and also give you something lovely to look forward to doing when you go again :)

Hi Tia
If I were in your position I would email them directly and explain your questions. They are very helpful.
As far as I know, your children can´t go near the dolphins at that age and DC has some regulation of how many people in a group have to buy the dolphin swim package. It never hurts to ask directly.

Thanks for you advice and thoughts, think I will email them direct to see what they ahve to say.

Thanks again :thumbsup2

Hi

We did this when DD was 2 1/2, we did seperate swims, whilst one of us looked after DD, also gave us a chance to take our own photos and video.

They let DD come into the water for a family photo, and also let her feed the dolphin a fish. she loved this great photo.

the rest of the day we played in the stingray pool.

We all went into the swimming pool, then we had a look around bird part.

I would love to do it again but are waiting till DD can swim so all in water the same time.
