LL end of August

Hi,
Heading to the parks this weekend. With the high cost of everything, I was wondering if most people buy ll or skip it. Not sure how crowds are. Are there any free fast pass systems now?

Here now. Willing to wait in lines. LLMP will save time for sure but for us, not ‘needed’.

I've been a few times since the new paid line skipping system started and have never used it. I think it depends on your park style and tolerance for waiting in lines and even how often you go. If you are going to be there for longer than say 4 full days and have park hoppers and don't want to ride everything in every park and don't mind waiting in some lines, you don't need it. I go often, have been going since well before there were any kind of skip the line systems (free or paid) and waiting in lines was just what you did if you wanted to ride. I don't want to ride every ride in every park and am almost always there for at least 5 full days. I've always been able to ride every ride I want to and still take a 2 to 3 hour afternoon break. I rarely rope drop or use EE and rarely stay to park close.

Been here since the 17th. Crowds are typical for the time of year. MK on non party days is significantly busier than party days. If I had to chose then LL for HS is probably the best use of it. The rest of the parks it's ehh...for example yesterday we had LL for HS...we rope dropped and rode tower 3 times, rocking 2, rise millennium, toy story, Mickey's, had lunch...I started booking for Epcot after our second LL and managed to get test track, Remy and soaring for later at Epcot. So overall a fantastic day.

I'll add one more note ..lots of headliners down at park open really sucks and messes up the plan big time. It's been constant during our trip

On a party day the last week of August, LLs are definitely not needed!!

Have been here for 4 hours and are in line for our 10th ride!! These have included headliners too:
- Seven Dwarfs
- Tron
- Space Mountain
- Astro Orbiter
- Speedway
- Teacups
- Little Mermaid
- Barn Stormer
- Dumbo
- Peter Pan

Only line we skipped so far was Pooh as it was 40 mins and LL full so guessing it had been down.

Goal is to ride everything today without any LLs. We’ll see how it goes. So far, great start!!

Disney’s FastPass for free is a thing of the past. Lightning Lane replaced Disney’s FastPass unfortunately.

We now decided that next August when we return again we are only planning MK days on party days and will hop there to see fireworks one night. We went Sunday 11-5 and waits were very low. I can't imagine what we could have accomplished if we rope dropped at 7:30.

We are not early risers anymore with our youngest being 18, so we don’t make use of early entry. We also tend to take an afternoon break every day back to the resort . So for us to still fit everything in and still have time to slowly enjoy the park, regardless of what time of year, we will still purchase the multi pass lightning lanes. I loathe buying it but we will do it. It cost our group of 5 about an extra $1,000 for our eight days in the parks this July.

That being said, I refuse to purchase individual lightning lanes. We can wait in one or two long lines each day, but that’s it.

That’s our choice though. It’s just the way our park days have evolved over the years. There is only so much time in a day and at Disney time is money. It really depends on your touring style and your patience for lines.
