Hi My DH and I cel our 30th anniversary. He reallly wants to go to Seaworld so we are. We are staying near DT Disney for 3 and the Swan for 4. There isnt any availability for dolphin swim any way so has anyone done DC w/o the dol swim? If so what do u get for I think its $149? I know a pass for SW is includes so I am actuallly asking what do we get for the other $100?????????
:bounce:  Is the dinner or lunch that great? I know there is a twilight something that might be good for us. ANy info wd be great thanks Linda

Well you do get 7 days use of SW, so I would say it's $ value for SW is more than a single day's ticket.

I would look at it as what do you think a day in a waterpark (DC no slides but great snorkling, aviary and beach areas to watch and listen to the dolphins) is worth. IMHO $35 is probably fair value I could argue up to $50 for the quality of the experience. The lunch I would say $15 is fair value. I would say that your question should be is $85-99 a reasonable price to pay for 6 days use of SW.

I think DC is a very special park and I think there would be the chance to get some interaction with the dolphins if you are there. I love SW as well and think it's well worth the money, but if you're going to do DC and SW and want to financially justify it you need to make sure you spend time in those parks and give up some Disney park times.

we had a magical family day there without the Dolphin swim (which to me from the outside looked like a very expensive, prepackaged character greeting); it was well worth the $$ due to the fewer crowds and the magical sense of your own "private" island

I am going to agree with the previous poster....

I had the chance to go to Discovery Cove last year in Oct. I did not have to pay for it, as it was free, it did NOT include the swim. I was disappointed, but knew that there are other places to do that, at a MUCH lower cost. I did however enjoy my day there VERY much. There is so much to do. The fresh water lazy river, the aviery, the scenery, the stingrays....The food....It just was a wonderful magical day. I enjoyed just sitting on the sideline by the dolphin cove, and listening to the dolphins enjoy themselves.

I would do it. Its something worth doing once. You never feel over crowded, which to me was one of the perks.

I hope you go and enjoy if you do
