Hi all, are you allowed to take waterproof cameras into the dophin swim and are you allowed video and camera equipment in the cove? :confused3

Do you get lockers to store stuff and are they safe?

:cloud9: Many thanks sharon

No cameras are allowed in the water with the dolphins - in case they swallow them! There are photographers/Video Filmers in the water with you and you view pictures immediately after your swim. There are a number of packages available (maybe details on DC website).

It is possible to film from the shore but it is a bit of a lottery as some groups are positioned near the beach and others further out. Also, of course it relying on one of your party not taking part. The coves are open with chairs/loungers on the beach facing them. I saw a man propose when we were there - the dolphin brought his (then) girlfriend a buoy with " Will you marry me on it!" It was lovely!

You get a locker, wet suit/vest, snorkel, mask, suncream, free photo on entry and lunch! I assume the lockers are as safe as any others but I don't know specifically - we didn't take anything of value with us that day (except the credit card - which was just as well as I never planned to buy photos!)

Please shout if you need any more info. It is a great day

Thanks for all the info i am soooooooo looking forward to this day. :flower:

More questions! :rolleyes:

Are the photos expensive, how many are you allowed to buy, did you buy yours? :earsboy:

many thanks sharon ::MickeyMo

The photos are a little expensive, but when you roll it into the total cost of the day it's not really a lot of money to make sure you have the special mementos to go with your memories. I don't think we bought enough photos first time out (as I'm a cheapskate :blush: ) I'm taking my daughters who are over on holiday in April, DW Jana and her son Gus on April 2nd so I'll get a few more photos this time.

I do intend to get a decent camera as well, so I hope to get quite a few of my own photos from the water's edge.

we did dc, you have to take all forms of jewellery off inc stud earrings lockers are safe enough but you may be as well not taking jewellery at all that day. i did lose an earing because someone looked after them and as my dh had arranged a special anniversary suprise similar to the proposal we left the pool at a differnet exit and by the time i got back to that point it was mislaid, maybe its me but all the other parks customer care pale against disney. having said that we had a fantastic not to be missed day and took advantage of the video and photos. have fun

Photo prices - can't remember I'm afraid - maybe post on DIS DC board and someone might be able to help

Pop over to
and request a brochure - it does come eventually and wets the appetite. Also There is an AB Parks video/dvd. I can't remember how to order it but I do have a copy on video you could have. PM me if interested!

Did you know you get a free entry to Seaworld with your DC pass - as many times as you want in a period of 7 days b4/after your DC day.

The major negative thing to say about DC is that I thought it would be a once in a lifetime day but, having been, I want to go back next time we are in Florida!
