I'm on the Discovery Cove website, and I just don't have time to read through everything. If my family just wants to swim with the dolphins, is that possible without having to buy other 'extras'? I've seen a package you can get for $250, but that includes snacks and such that I don't really need. Is this possible, or do you have to buy a package?

Discovery Cove is an all-inclusive day (plus a multi-day pass to Seaworld); the dolphin swim is kind of an add-on. Not everyone has to do the dolphin swim, but I think at least one person in your party must pay for that. Your best bet is to call them with your specific questions. It is a wonderful, albeit expensive, all-day experience (altho the dolphin swim would just be a smallish part of it). Have never seen them advertise a separate short dolphin-only experience. (Lunch the day we went was really good -- maybe the best Orlando meal I've ever had, but that was several years ago).

Thanks so much! One package I did notice was for $249. Is that per person do you think?

Discovery Cove was wonderful when our family went last Nov.!( American thanksgiving day actually.)Felt like an island oasis:thumbsup2 We paid around $200.00 per person for my dh and I for a non-dolphin pkg.Paid around $300.00per person for our kids 9 and 12 who did the dolphin swim.As I remember we got some sort of winter or online discount which knocked off about $50.00 apeice. We felt it was well worth the money.Trying to swing it again for our Aug. trip!;)

I am going to chime in with my 2 cents. First off try the code TNC10 it will knock of $25 per person. Your price is the price per person! The meals and snacks are included, all your drinks are included, including beer, and drinks! Their food is wonderful, and you can have as much as you want as long as they are serving still! So you could have lunch at 11:30 and again at 2 if you want! Snacks, you just walk up and grab them, it is very weird cause you almost feel like you are stealing, because you are so used to paying for things! LOL
Also, as mentioned before, that one person has to do the swim, I thought so as well, I had booked with my brother, because we had done the swim the year before, and he was doing it this past year, and we just wanted to use the park! I found out afterwards, if you call and book over the phone you don't need to have 1 person doing the swim, they said there online booking only allows for you to book with at least 1 person doing the swim!
Was it worth, YES, a 100x's over, we loved every minute of it, and it was worth every penny! I have never felt so relaxed on an Orlando, or any vacation as that day!
You would probably get more info on the Sea world/discovery cove board though!
