Is it too cold to really enjoy the Dolphin Swim in February? I'd hate to spend all that money and not enjoy the day bc of the temp. :confused3

Kinda, unless you're from up north.
I've gone to IOA a few times in February. Low temps are 55, but then it warms up to 75 in the afternoon. The thing is, the water temperature is the same no matter what, it's like a cold shower. Once you get in the water you kinda get used to it. I'd call them and ask what they think. I mean, some people from up north are used to it and go skiing in a t-shirt.

We went to DC on Feb 23 this year and had a great day! The area for the dolphin swim and the snorkel pool are kept fairly cool, but you have your choice of a vest, short wet suit or full wet suit. The wet suits keep you much warmer. We changed to vests after our dolphin swim as the day warmed up. The lazy river (fresh water) is kept quite warm and is very enjoyable. The day we went was probably mid-70's with lots of clouds in the morning and sun by afternoon.

A good friend and her family went the previous Feb and it was chilly. She said they stayed in full wet suits all day and DC had heaters placed all around. They still had a great time!

The weather in Feb is unpredictable, but don't let it change your plans. DC was one of the best things our family of 5 has ever done! You'll be so excited about the amazing things you're doing that you won't notice the temp!

We are from England and went to Discovery Cove in March.
Believe me the weather can affect your plans, it was unusually cold in March and we were further delayed by a thunder-storm.
By the time we eventually got in the water it was very, very cold.
By the time my little boy came out of the water he was freezing cold.

The weather in Florida is unpredicatable late February/early March - I really think you should think about visiting at another time.

I went in the middle of January, and wore a long wet suite. I was perfectly fine, but then again, I am from up North.
