Discovery Cove in April?

I'm planning way ahead for next year and am thinking about doing DC next April. My main concern is that most of the stuff there is in the water (Dolphin swim, river, snorkling). I am wondering if it is really warm enough to spend all day in the water in April. Is the water heated? Is there stuff to do that's not wet in case you get cold?

Check weather.com for temperatures in Orlando in April. It was 89 degrees on April 13 th when we were there.

We were there the 3rd week of April ('05) and the weather was perfect, in the 80's I believe. The entire week was incredible, that's why we have gone in April the past 3 times now.

All 8 of us stayed in the water most of the day, but when we came out, we'd walk around and watch the other dolphin swims/tricks, try to catch those salamanders/lizards, shop, sit in the sun, go into the bird aviary (I personally did not go in), sit in the sand with the kids, eat...etc.

This place has tons of photo ops, it's so beautiful, you will not be bored or feel you've wasted a dime. It is still said to be the highlight of our trip.

I have gone to Typhoon Lagoon in early March before and did not have a problem with it, so you should be good in April.

I believe the pool and tropical river are heated, though. The Coral Reef, Ray Lagoon, and Dolphin Lagoon are not heated, and they will be cold no matter what time of year you go, so just be prepared for that. The water will be freezing at first. Just get in slowly and you will get used to it.

A wetsuit will also help keep you warmer in the water better than the vest.

I've already booked myself and DB in for Dolphin Swim next April at DC. I didn't even think about temperatures

I'm just sooo made up I'm going I think I'll go in there no matter what it's like, it'll probably take me a while to get in the colder water, I'm rubbish at things like that, but I know I'll be so excited just to be swimming with a dolphin
