We will be going to Discovery Cove the first week of August. We want to do the dolphin swim package. :cool1:

Is 1 month far enough in advance to book this time of year?

Thanks!!

Its hard to say. I would worry as much about the price as availability, as admission costs tend to increase the closer you get to your visit day.

We are also going in August (the last week of the month), and we booked our tickets in October. Even since then, with many months still to go before our vacation, prices have already increased for two days during that week by $30 per person from what we paid.

If you can be flexible on the day of the week, you'll probably be okay one month ahead in booking at least something. There may be a day (or days) that are sold out, its difficult to know.

The dolphin swim is so much fun. You'll love it. :thumbsup2

We are a bit flexible so fingers crossed! I did not know they increase their prices, thanks for the info!

Swimming with dolphins has been DD12's dream, so we are thrilled!

Gina is correct, the price does increase as the date nears. We saved $30pp booking around Feb 2013 for our August trip. Prices will differ daily, depending upon day of the week, but it is TOTALLY worth it!

Guess I better book mine! I thought the prices changed, but wasn't sure. We are going the last week in August. Guess I better start spending the money now (and hopefully save)! :goodvibes It all adds up! I just keep hoping for some special to come since it is late summer (and hoping for a little slower time). :)

While I, too, would desperately like a promotion of some sort for late August (we are going on the 25th), I am guessing we will both be out of luck. June, July August are all busy months for the Orlando area, so discounts just aren't as prevalent (as they really aren't needed to bring in business). While the southern states are back to school by late August, there's still plenty of northerners squeezing out a last blast of summer fun before Labor Day.

That said, if you book now and a promotion is offered, you can cancel your original reservation and rebook at the new price with a simple phone call to DC. If no discount is released, then you at least price protect your admission by knowing that your day won't be any more expensive than what you paid (even if admission prices go up in the interim). Win, win! :thumbsup2

Will be getting it booked by this weekend! :goodvibes
