Hello,
We have reservations for Discovery Cove for June 17th. Our family is me - Kim 47, DH Greg 43, Kaitlyn 12, Jessica 12, and Ashley 7. Our youngest daughter, Ashley, has a number of special needs including spina bifida (walks without assistance) and PDD-NOS (autism spectrum) and all three of our girls love animals.

We do not have an extra day to visit Seaworld, and we will not have a car. So I was wondering if it is possible to just do a few exhibits and a show or two at Seaworld the same evening as Discovery Cove.

I know everyone says how relaxing Discovery Cove is after WDW, but do you think we would be too tired to go over to Seaworld after DC? We are not looking for rides, but would like to see Shamu and maybe the penguins and pearl divers. Is this possible? I would hate to not get to see a little of Seaworld since we have free tickets.

What would be your "must see" shows / exhibits if you only had a few hours at Seaworld? Is there an inexpensive place to eat? I hate to spend more money on food since we are on the Deluxe DDP.

If we would do this, is there a place at Seaworld with lockers that we could store our swimwear? Is there a shuttle between the two parks? Would we need a stroller for our youngest? She does use one at WDW as she fatigues from walking and we are bringing her stroller from home.

Can anyone share their experience taking a taxi to DC from WDW? We are staying at Port Orleans Riverside. I know about the Lynx bus, but that is not practical with our youngest with or without the stroller.

Thank you so much for your help!

I definitely think you can do Sea world after Discovery Cove. We too didn't have an extra day to spend at Sea World, but wanted to see at least a little since we had the ticket. It worked well.

We left DC when it closed, were at Sea World at 6:30pm and stayed until 9:30pm. We didn't do rides either, but we really enjoyed seeing the penguin exhibit, wild arctic, and the sea lions (we bought the fish and fed them too)! We also watched Shamu Rocks which was fun!

Why not rent a car for the day? Otherwise all those cabs are going to cost way more than a car rental for 1 day...
We rented a car and just left everything in the car when we got to sea world, so no need to worry about a locker.

Even a few hours at SeaWorld will be worth it, especially if it's "free." :goodvibes

Try to see the Shamu Rocks show, you should be able to make that since they will be shooing you out of DC at around 5:30.
