We are heading to Discovery Cove in April for a day while staying at the HRH with friends and family.
The question I have is my godchild is 3 years old and his father and mother really want to go however they are concerned that there will be not much for him to do there.
Can someone please let me know if it will be worth it for them to bring him here. He does live off the ocean here in MA and loves the water.
Do they have vests that will fit him. If they do decide on bringing him what should they bring for him in case they do not have the correct sizes for him?

Any info would be greatly appriciated.

There's a beach next to the heated water lazy river. He can play in the sand. You can walk him over to the bird area, where he can feed a bird or watch them.
He can wade into the edge of the coral reef lagoon and look at the fishies. Yes, they have vests for everyone, that's no problem.

But really, it would be better if you had someone baby sit the child, because DC is a place you want to relax. Watching a 3 year old won't let you do that. Sure, it can be done, but you'll be chasing him down, he'll be crying, cranky, and you'll be on edge. The whole visit will revolve around watching him.

Think of the keys, a chair in the sand on the beach. You sitting there listening to the dolphins splashing in the water. You're relaxed. Now throw in a 3 year old who's cranky and what do you get? Yeah. And the biggest reason, is they won't remember it in a few years, and have no clue how much money you're spending to go there.

OOOOO nicely put robvia. Maybe we will have grandma stay at the pool cabana back at HRH with my godchild. He does has a mind of his own and now that you are talking about him feeding the birds. :scared1: :earseek:
I can see it already " But I only gived him a hug":faint:
Plus I truely want this day to be stress free for my daughter is now 13 and I've been there and done all of that already and although I loved the time spent in those years with her, I must admit I am happy shes a big girl now:cheer2:

I will have to talk with them and work something out.
Thanks:earsgirl:
