Nice trip report on DC. I enjoyed the pics! I just booked it for July our first time going. I am so so excited for this! I am glad you mentioned that you have to wear something all day. I think I will go with the life vest also. I hear you I am 49 and had a child.

I want to try DC too. I just can't do it during the busiest times of the year. It would be $1,000 for 3 of us.
